How is the mark on christians different than the mark of the beast?

"The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest." Isa 34:14

In this verse is a Hebrew word that is difficult to understand, that the King James scholars translated, "screech owl." This word is lylyth. This word is related to another Hebrew word, laylah, "night."

This is one of those places in The Bible that is very difficult to understand. But keep this in mind:

The MAIN things are the PLAIN things.

There is no doubt about Jesus and what He did when He "was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification." Romans 4:25.

Chris thank you for understanding my personal testimony of how God is very much involved in people's life on a personal level. I hoped to help here but my views are very misunderstood here. John 3:16 tells us who Jesus was and what He accomplished, that whoever believes IN Him, shall not perish, but rather have everlasting life. Believing IN means putting your trust IN Jesus, His death and Resurrection, just Jesus ALONE, not Jesus PLUS other requirements.

Galatians 5 talks about those "other requirements" that weigh people down in bondage. "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." Gal 5:1. Read the whole chapter.

He was warning them about Judiazers, that were telling believers that they had to keep the Mosaic Law. Paul was telling them that they don't have to keep the Mosaic Law, be circumcised or baptized or give to the church or go to church or ANYTHING added to saving faith in Jesus.

Grace alone by Faith alone in Christ alone as instructed by The Scripture alone!

S Spencer my blind faith is to trust God for his guidance in understanding of scriptures and to accept that some things I am unable to understand.

Like my faith is not movable on my set belief that God is unexplainable in my vocabulary.

I can only trust that tug that i feel in my heart and soul.

My Bible is old and worn . I am an adult survivor of child trafficking. I have seen the most unGodly cruelties of mankind upon children that still exists today. I have seen how evil sets itself up in places working for the good guys so to speak.

I am not bitter nor do i blame or judge the many good people for the actions of the few.

I do not know what happens when I die , but i have read that when i die it is to late to seek God. So I seek God while I am alive. I fear my judgment day . I know that I am going to have to answer for my actions.

I am not seeking nor asking for forgiveness of a sin if i can not refrain from the actions that offend God.

So I ask for guidance about not being able to refuse to work on the sabbath day because of the job that I give God thanks to have. Yet man judges me for not being at church.

But the scriptures comfort me because i do set a time to honor God. This is what i call my blind faith. To see the world and hear what is said and just trust God to help me understand.

With or without the approval of man . I fear judgment. I live a life that I can proudly say is moral and kind. I am not without sin. But I trust God to guide me. Understand?

Read the whole chapter and you'll see how particular God was with what Aaron was to do, EXACTLY as instructed.

Bible does not tell how they look like or how they are made. They are some sort of two images put on the high priest's breast plate. When he enters into the tabernacle to stand before GOD, he bearing them on his breast plate can inquire GOD about the direction of Israelites such as where to go or what to do, and GOD will answer him. Now it is not clear how HE answers him, certainly not by voice, but maybe through the inspiration of Holy Ghost.

I see your response as a shallow attempt to turn my words into something you believe you can manage. What you ignore is the pointed statement I made about you being self-righteous. What I've said is like using sign language to a blind person, as well as what was said by S Spencer, SkipVought, Rod and maybe countless others in your lifetime, who have tried to point out to you your errors in understanding the Bible. You appear, sadly, to be in the grip of pride.

In these times, there seem to be more and more who question the existence of God and even the historicity of Jesus. Most people haven't given much thought to these things and simply parrot slogans they've hears on youtube.

1 Peter 3:15. Be ready to give an answer for WHAT you believe WHY you believe it. This takes effort, study, time. There are no easy answers. Simply saying that "the Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it!" is not enough. In Acts, Paul REASONS with people.

Now you and I are not Paul but we can begin to get equipped. This may seem like a daunting task to most people but it is possible. First pray for wisdom and understanding. Study, study, study. 2 Timothy 2:15. Learn to ask questions of the people who make these false assertions. Greg Koukl is a wonderful, godly apologist who wrote a book named Tactics, 10th Anniversary Edition: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions. Another great apologist is Frank Turek who wrote I Don't Have Enough Faith To Be An Atheist.

The former is a book about how to maneuver in a conversation about Christian beliefs, while the latter book contains apologetic information you might use to defend and give reasons for your convictions.

There are words that I would stay away from, because most people have been socialized to think of them wrongly. For instance "faith" is often misrepresented as "believing stuff the ain't true." In our society, people believe that there is a difference between faith and actual truth. I use "active trust" or "warranted trust." It's often helpful to use illustrations to clarify these warped views.

"No God? How do you think this all began?" This might be a question you ask. But they are not open to "In the beginning God created..." You can quote it, but that's not gonna be enough in most cases. Check out the Kalam Cosmological Argument made popular by William Lane Craig.

Is it true that a woman should not preach in church

What does it mean to inherit the kingdom of God? John 3:16 gives instructions on how to be saved but Galatians 5 gives different requirements to inherit the kingdom of God. Are they talking about the same salvation or is inheriting the kingdom of God different than salvation?

The Old Testament is filled with accounts that do indeed seem strange to many. It's important to determine the type of writing that you are reading. There are historical accounts, poetry, instructions, census, genealogy etc. This appears to be history. Jeroboam was the first king of Israel after Solomon when the kingdom was split 10 to the north called Israel and 2 to the south called Judah. He was a bad king.

A prophet of God was sent to Bethel where an altar to false gods had been erected by Jeroboam and you can read the account in 1 Kings 13:1-24. In this account, the prophet tells the king that he was instructed by God to not eat, drink or return by the same route, and he proceeds to do just that.

However an evil prophet hears about the incident, accosts the prophet of God and persuades him to have dinner with him, by lying to him. 1 Kings 13:18. The prophet of God believed this evil prophet and they had dinner together. Then the evil prophet actually speaks a prophecy from God. 1 Kings 13:21-22. The prophet of God leaves, very likely frightened to death, and just as was prophesied, dies before he reaches home and was buried somewhere other than with his family.

God expected His prophets to 1) speak His words exactly and 2) do exactly as He commanded them to do. Not to believe and do so is dangerous. It is His prerogative to punish or reward. He does all thing with righteousness and justice. Don't mess with God. Too often we treat God and His Word glibly. We ought to be more sober-minded and God-honoring.

I have heard it preached that when the High Priest entered into the Holy of Holies to offer the sacrifice, a rope or cord was tied to his ankle, so he could be removed should he have sin found and the sacrifice not be accepted by GOD. Is this scriptural?

For this very thing, it is written in the Holy Scriptures, and taught, of God: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, WHICH IS your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what IS that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. The last enemy THAT shall be destroyed IS death.

Tell them if they right what reward is there, but if ur right Jesus going to welcome you or them into heaven.

Who is Lilith or Eve

Where have all the Churches gone ? As I witness less and less of ungodliness in these current times I realise that in my own awakening that I am searching for a place to gather with others and share the word of God. Where does one turn too at this time ? I happened to visit a local parish church recently and behind the masked presence of the priest whom spoke to me behind the mask of which I couldn't understand I asked myself the question, 'to whom are these people bowing to authority'. Romans 1:21 - 1:24 seems to be the answer, in that the Church has 'changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man'... I am new to the bible brought on through spiritual awakening because of what's I see going on, so where are those who live out the bible showing me how to become wise, how to search for the truth ?

what do you tell a person who doesn't believe in God. that say there is no Jesus .

This saying of Jesus is this. He said if they do it in the green tree what shall become of the dry? Jesus is the chief cornerstone. He is of course speaking about persecution. He knew very well what was going to happen in 70 Ad when Titus came and destroyed Jerusalem. The temple was razed and not one stone was upon another. If they persecuted Me, they shall also persecute you. Our world right now in Feb, 2021 is nearing the time when they who hate Jesus and His message will come against those who are His true followers. Jesus is the green tree. He was and is fruitful and is bearing fruit. We as well should be following Him and yes even unto persecution if and when it comes. He told them not to weep for Him but weep for yourselves because a terrible time is coming. Those words are prophetic words and He knew very well He was speaking in terms of the near and distant future. Know this, God knows how to protect His own. He also says He will never leave us or forsake us in times of trouble. We can always count on the truth that Jesus is our true Shephard and He will lead us into green pastures. Heaven. No matter what we face now, the green pastures in Heaven await the faithful. Remain strong in the faith come what may.

Simon the Pharisee, thinking to be shrewd, invites Jesus over to his home for a meal. The reasons why people try to manipulate their relationship with God are always rooted in pride. While the invitation appears to be welcoming and genuine. Further reading shows the inner contempt Simon holds toward his Savior. Lack of common courtesies shown guests (washing of feet, the kiss of greeting, and, to a lesser extent, anointing with oil). A subtle sarcasm in his dialogue with Christ (v. 40 and v. 43).

Perhaps Simon allowed the entry of the woman of sordid reputation to attempt to tarnish or bring reproach upon Jesus' influence in the region. While this is only speculation, the result was not what Simon expected from Him.

Our thoughts are not our own with Jesus. He knows them before they even enter our minds. Simon had failed to believe Jesus and His deity and authority based on prejudice and willing ignorance. Two aspects that accompany all those who are ultimately damned to hell.

The woman knew her need and the source to get it met. Without prompting, she knew what she had to do. No one would deny her and shame or embarrassment would not hinder her from completing the task at hand. True faith is always accompanied by obedience throughout the Bible and even so today.

Ironically, while the woman's name was never recorded for our benefit in His book here, we know she was registered in the Book of Life in the place where she now resides. Her testimony is eternal, as is Simon's folly.

The question is if partaking of Communion, whether "buffet-style" or even a la carte, is found in Scripture.

As I gather from the Word, the believers met for fellowship & enjoyed a meal together. During that meal, one arose, using that time & the food before them, to remember the death of the Saviour. My Scriptural warrant for this is found in 1 Corinthians 11:20-23, where the Apostle Paul chastised those who came to these gatherings & gorged themselves with the food & drink disregarding the others waiting to eat. By doing so, they also showed disdain for the Lord's Supper, which probably followed their meal, by one giving thanks in remembrance of the Lord's death. So it seems that whenever the believers met, they understood the solemness of the occasion, as their 'love feast' also became an opportunity to remember the Lord.

Since it would be difficult or impractical to do things in such a manner now, the Church today adopts a faster more manageable method of giving out the elements. Whether or not this is the manner acceptable by the Lord, would be the judgement by the partaker. Personally, I don't care for our practise - I feel we need to at least go some way closer to what was intended by the Lord. The Christian Brethren actually have a loaf of bread (though leavened) passed around, from which people take a chunk & then drink from the same large cup.

Certainly, the sin of some of the Corinthians wouldn't be replicated now, as there wouldn't be a lot on the plate to satisfy even a little hunger, as the next persons to be served look on critically whether there would be anything left for him.

Genesis 4:9, I feel is Cain's rhetorical question to the Lord's question as to where Abel was. As such, no answer was given. Cain's question was an attempt to side-track God's probe as to Abel's whereabouts. He knew that God knew the answer, but still wanted to absolve himself of any knowledge of Abel or wrongdoing against him; somewhat like the suspected criminal doing his best to deny even being anywhere near the scene of the crime. One could possibly get away with lies & deception before the law, but who can convince God of our wrongdoing? But for Cain, the evidence was already before God & the punishment was immediate & he had no further recourse or a second hearing.

That's an interesting perspective, but we still have to deal with Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood...". And verse 11, speaks about withstanding the Devil, who is certainly not of our flesh. This should tell us immediately that our enemies are not from mankind who are flesh & blood, but to the opposite of "flesh & blood", i.e. those of the spirit world. Of course, the evil found in that world, certainly influences man, both the inconspicuous lowly citizen right up to those in positions of power on Earth, both of whom are certainly 'flesh & blood'.
