It simply means 'to greet'. Paul, in his letters, often passed on his salutations (greetings) to those he knew there or had laboured with him in the ministry.

    I am curious...

Is this talking about abortion? If the woman (from my understanding) had intercourse with another man and got pregnant, then the fetus would die... but if she was impregnated by her husband (thus not committing adultery) then she will continue to conceive the child. In my bible, instead of the word "thigh," the word "uterus" is used, implying an abortion.

  • Diane on James 4:7 - 5 years ago
I've heard many people including "mature" Christians quote "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." This scripture is conditional upon our submission or surrender to God. If we attempt to resist the devil having not humbled ourselves and submitting to God, we leave ourselves open to the enemy's attacks. Lord let us humble ourselves and pray and seek your face and turn from our wicked ways that we may be used by you in your End Time army and lead many to Jesus unto salvation. Help us remember to daily put on the full armor of God according to Ephesians 6. We love you and need you Lord Jesus.

Hi Rodney, "Rodney you say the jews called out Jesus for blasphemy for him saying was the son of God and for the trintarians that's not good enough" are you suggesting that the jews was right? have you noticed they had no problem calling him son of David? was he David son? Luke 20:41-44 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?

And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son? Perhaps they use son different in scripture than we do, We also loose a little in the English translation, but they got the message, He presented his deity,. John 10:30-33 (KJV) I and my Father are one.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Believing in Jesus deity may not be a requirement for salvation, but once you're saved and begin to grow revelation through the spirit should reveal that to you. I believe we stunt our growth when we come to a conclusion about a matter and spend a life time searching the scripture to try to prove whether its right or wrong and ignore telling scriptures like John 1:1. Regardless it shouldn't cause hatred between the brothern if it does thats a greater issue. God bless be peaceful.

Matthew 24:14 states: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

These 2 witness's lie in the streets dead after there testimony for 3 1/2 days. Notice how Revelation 11:9 states "togunes" and "Nations" will witness this?

We are the first generation that could witness this based off current technologies we have today: Internet, television, phones and other means to watch live events from anywhere in the world.

This should also make you thinnk of the technology available to implement the Mark of the Beast that will be ushered in around this same timeframe.

Get ready folks, Jesus is coming! Have you been born again with the spirt of God? If not humble yourself before the Lord and ask for his forgiveness. He loves you and forwarns you of things to come to keep you from the torment of hell.

We can take 2 paths in this life: straight and narrow to Jesus or wide and broad to hell. Its your choice.

If no man can see God's face and live, then please explain Ex 24:9-11 to me that says Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and 70 elders saw the God of Israel. Was this a special circumstance as it says He did not lay His hand on them? Yet Moses was instructed to go to the cleft of the rock and just see God's back.

You were nearly there :) Try Psalm 22:3. Though this refers to Israel yet it too is our experience, when we "offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." ( Hebrews 13:15).

    Gloria,

"We" depends on who you are, and the tithe only applies in the time

of Israel, for Israel. Today, the giving is not mandated to a

    particular percentage.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order

to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the

week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered

him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 1Corinthians 16:1&2

"As God hath prospered", is your determination after your needs

    have been met.

    Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give;

not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

    2Corinthians 9:7

Salvation is never according to what you do for God, but instead,

what Jesus did for you on the cross. Salvation is never a law you

follow, but the grace of God you must accept."

This is a great verse for what's going on today in this world there are so many people full of hate right now walking around angry bitter every single day I'm seeing it more and more where is the love where is God's people at? We must not let this world take away our joy and our happiness these are hard times we live in but we must stay positive we must be happy and show love to others we have to stop the bitterness we have to stop the angry attitudes and hatefulness and show love to everyone

To learn that answer, one would need to go back a fair bit - back to Genesis chapter 37. You probably know the story, or can read about it from there, but in a nutshell, Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers to the Midianites who took Joseph into Egypt. When in Egypt, these slave traders sold Joseph to Potiphar, an officer to Pharaoh. Joseph served him faithfully except when Mrs. Potiphar accused Joseph of attempted rape & so Joseph also became a prisoner.

In time, Joseph, being blessed by God was called to interpret the Pharaoh's dream which resulted in Joseph being honoured with a high position & even given an Egyptian wife. Joseph was still a young man at 30 yrs of age when there was a general famine throughout, but Joseph had the wisdom to store up grain for such an occasion so even other countries round about came to him to buy grain. With that, Jacob, Joseph's father, sent his sons (Joseph's brothers) also to Egypt to buy food, & they didn't realize who they would have to deal with: their brother whom they sold into slavery. But Joseph forgave them their sin & even Pharaoh invited Joseph's family to move over to Egypt & settle there. However, Jacob was old & died & in time, Joseph himself died at 110 yrs of age & was buried in Egypt.

So Egypt became the home for Israel (= Jacob), but the old Pharaoh also died & a new Pharaoh came into power, "a new king that knew not Joseph" ( Exodus 1:8) & instead of continuing to enjoy freedom & prosperity in Egypt, all the children of Israel became slaves to the Egyptians & even harder bondage. But God still had a plan to free Israel from bondage, so Moses comes onto the scene, even avoiding death as a baby by God's providence. And you know the rest of the story.
