The Devil said if you are "the son of God " notice he did not say if you are God ! Why is that ? Jesus would have rebuked the devil for the error as he always does . Turn these stones into bread , and Jesus rebuked the devil again and said Man lives By every word of God !

Oh but Jesus did not say my words . Why is that ? Because he is not God , but Gods son . And notice he was lead by the Holy Spirit , that God anointed him with why is that ?

Look closely to the scriptures and what is said and compare all scriptures, there can be no contradiction. These verses are very clear and so many many more .

Do not allow yourself to be tricked in to doctrines . Gods word is very clear .

I think today people comes up some way or another a point of view and go to the scripture to authenticate it, rather than first go to the scripture with openness of mind and let the Holyspirit reveal truth

Thank you DWL. It's true in what you state about arguing a point & we'll always find Scripture to support our view to the rejection or avoidance of others. However, as Christians having come to believe a certain doctrine in a particular way (whether being taught from the pulpit, a book, the Web, the musings of our minds, etc.), we need to learn & consider all of the Word of God to formulate a true (or, as best as we are able) understanding of that doctrine or teaching. This is what I hope to see from the dear ones who come here to share their insights & beliefs, that they take in ALL of Scripture to learn about a doctrine & not come forward with a belief & then use Scriptures to support it. This doesn't help anyone - only their egos. And that is why, when I, or others give other Scriptures for them to consider on a subject (e.g. the Trinity), very rarely will they refer to them or exegete them as that would certainly introduce doubt in their minds (or, maybe due to an inability to deal with them). So I wonder what they would do to such Scriptures when they read them in the normal course of study - how would they force an interpretation to them to conform to their belief? And many preachers are complicit in this as their congregants are so enthralled by their charisma, skilful use of the Word, & many supporting Scriptures, that they think that the final correct answer is now in their possession. Rather than further 'searching' the Word, most accept readily what is being fed to them, not realizing that even ministers of the Word can be in error.

So, is the correct understanding of a doctrine necessary to be saved? Mostly, No. Unless the matter of the relationship between faith & works is not addressed. What spiritual carnage is left by well meaning Christians who fail to ensure that the enquirer clearly understands that it is only faith in Jesus that saves us, by God's unmerited Grace given to us & nothing, no nothing, of ourselves or our works can play a part in it.
  • S Spencer - In Reply on Mark 15 - 5 years ago
Absolutely, Emily. When Christ died for our sins was it past sins, present sins, future sins, are all our sins? I think our focus as Christians or professing Christians is to examine ourselves to see whether we're in the faith or not, If you got it you can't loose it, AND IT IS SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW.

Are we talking physically or spiritually ?

Physically Cain came from Adam and Eve. Spiritually I John 3:12 Not as Cain who was of that wicked one...

Jesus said to the Scribes and Pharisees ye are of your father the devil ... From a scriptural standpoint if you are not born of God spiritually your father is the devil or Satan. When a person becomes born again he is born into God's family and God is his Father.

Eating of pork is acceptable in the N.T.

There seems to be an indication that blood is excluded. As per blood pudding etc.

    Animals that haven't been bled.

Mlld Bill I know of people who confessed off the top of their heads Romans 10: 9+10 no change of heart the word heart there is innermost part of your being understanding this God knows the difference. Aiso all sins past at that time are forgiven that doesn't mean the believer won't commit more thats why we have a saviour.
  • Chris - In Reply on Deuteronomy 18 - 5 years ago
The only Scripture that comes to mind is found in Matthew 18:10, however, the reference to "little ones' here speaks about all people who come to God in humility & as "little children", that they inherit or enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

So Jesus' warning is that one should not "despise", or harm, one of these "children of the Kingdom", as "their angels always behold the Face of My Father which is in Heaven". This to me doesn't speak of guardian angels but of a legal environment whereby false accusations or pain that is given to God's people, doesn't go unnoticed by God: His angels bearing witness to these wicked actions of men. And from these verses, the idea has developed that every child has a guardian angel watching over them, when in fact angels are the ministers of God who go about fulfilling the Will of God, of which Will, representation & reporting on our behalf is made before God.

Most of today's Christians hold to the doctrine of this false religion. Making Jesus a deity rather than the Son of God .

RCC did not stop there either it gets worse. Much worse .

    Daniel 8.23

Here is a good indicator of when the Antichrist himself is revealed.

Notice it's when transgressors are come to the full , or about as evil as it gets , we are not close to this yet approaching this , like the times of Noah , continual evil in their thinking . No thoughts of God .

Also it's at the end of this particular kingdom , that to this day not yet set up . But forming could be the NWO .

So things are going to degenerate until this time , then the Lord comes . And it's over for evil in this world .

Trust the Lord and he will see you through even the darkest of times like Noah and Daniel in the lions den !

do you have any scripture to support that he is going to impregnate the world with his precious seed, or our child is the HG, I can't find any. thanks

When the Word was made flesh (Jesus), John 1:14 he came to publish God's Word and suffer on the cross for our salvation and before he was crucified, he preached to his apostles that he would send the Comforter Acts 2:4 after he goes to the Father, John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Matthew 13:24 "Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:" Matthew 13:37 "He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;" Matthew 13:38 "The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;" Matthew 13:39 "The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels." Matthew 13:40 "As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world." Matthew 13:43 "Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Luke 11:27 "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 "But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

Chris in the early church Jesus Christ was never elevated to the level of God that being said don't think one minute that in my Head that takes away from what he did his perfect walk His absolutely unbelievable sacrifice for people who don't give a ---- but what His father and if you're a believer now are father knew is that their would be people who would come to him just by believing his written word in their hearts and be given eternal life. We got to do what mary paul and others did be it unto me according to thy word. To think we have never seen Him but we believe and are eventually headed to a new heaven and earth wherein dwelleth righteous our new home. Yippee

  • Rick Mentzer - In Reply on Deuteronomy 18 - 5 years ago
In the beginning did not God speak ie His word creation into being so once a women ie mary met the criterior ie Gabriel spoke Gods words to her what God was going to do she believed and sayed be it unto be accord to thy word, now in human birth the dominate genetics are on the fathers side, ie God created sperm in mary ie flesh and blood because God Almighty can do that is what made Jesus Christ the only begotten of God. Later on John the baptists baptised him because he had to fulfill all the law then you read the spirit descended on Him like as a dove. Up until His time men had spirit upon them in measure He was given all of Gods power and authority, and still humbled Himself and said I can do nothing without my father i.e. His Spiritual connection unbreakable. Make no mistake Adam was perfect and blew did not keep Gods Word, the Second Adam Jesus Christ did'nt blow it he never disobeyed his fathers will. But remember he was a human being who the hell beat out of Himself and never broke down just thinking on that should blow anybodies mind if they choose to believe, what a complete saviour God Bless.

Other people believing false doctrine including christians back then that walked away from the truth of Gods word look at contexted also te shall know them by their fruits.
  • Mild Bill - In Reply on 1 John 4:1 - 5 years ago
Rick Mentzer, "until", "do it", are such little words, but in your context, they put a condition on the grace of God in saving people. What assurance of salvation is there if we have to "wait and see if I've really trusted". Must a baby wait to ask,"was I really born to be really born?" Born again is a true trust in what God has done for your soul. The lost see choices, the saved see no other, and grow in grace.

"Also something to consider there are sins intentional and ones unintentional" So when you believe Christ has paid for your sins, which ones are excluded?

Hosea 5:4-7, Notice these 3 verses Hosea is speaking God the father, "They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.

They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.

    Hosea 5:15,

Now as we get down to vs 15 he prophesied something strange...

Verse 15: I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

When did the Lord leave his place? and what specific offense is he speaking of? and what affliction is he speaking of? let's look at Mathews 23:39. " Matthew 23:39 (KJV) For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." Now of course they seen him again but he is saying here BEHOLD HIM AS A NATION. "NATIONALLY" Could their offence be rejection of the Messiah? Wd they be forced to call on him during the tribulation? "THE AFFLICTION " And when the Lord as mentioned in Hosea 5:15 and Jesus in Mathew 23:39. Does that nit them together as God? I will go and return to my place till" WHOS RETURNIN

Comments by Alex about who is Jesus Spritual Mother. i.e who is gonna birth Christ in their hearts and minds and every fiber of their being. Who is truly gonna be bornagain of an incoruptible seed, its the world, simply b/c that good seed is gona be sown in all the world Jesus said the field was the world where that good seed wd be sown ,When that Woman was Praising Mary Jesus said rather blessed are them that hear the WORD and keeps it. Who is my Mother them that hears the Word that good seed and keeps it. Which proves that he is gonna impregnate the world with his precious seed . Our Child is the H.G. from his words/seeds . Whosoever receives one such child in MY NAME receives me. As we have borne the image of the earthly we must also bear the image of the HEAVENLY ( being born from above ) Remember he always refered to himself as the son of man. later
