But "thanks be to God for His unspeakable Gift" that those who are in Christ "are now delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter" ( Romans 7:6). But for those under the Law (the unsaved Jews) & others who believe that the Law is still obligatory for them, then "if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain" ( Galatians 2:21).
If he will allow you, lay hands on your son by holding his hand; and pray these scriptures (below) aloud. We have 3 gates on our bodies: the Eye Gate (reading the words)
the Ear Gate that hears the scriptures spoken; and the Mouth Gate, speaking the Words of Life.
All of these things feed our spirits and our faith grows on what God says, rather than the doctors. Copy the scripture names down.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Jeremiah 33:6 Behold, I will bring him health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
Speak faith when doubt raises its head.
Pray: " Come Holy Spirit. Help Me."
Listen to praise music.
I ask in the name of Jesus You would grant him an angel to be sent to watch over him and bring Your peace into his home; as you did for me.
Bless the Name of Jesus. Thank you for watching and praying for David.
Ask yourself; what is the moral to the story and how can I apply it to my own life and walk in Christ.
Let's get our lenses clean and help others to see better as well.
I can only see that misery, degradation and death for nations were brought about by their misguided deeds.
Comparing ourselves with them to excuse our own sin could never assuage our personal guilt. Only faith in the crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ can mollify that shame.
And I agree again, that incest is not acceptable with God. To note though, the official Law & Standards were not given to Israel until much later through Moses at Mt. Horeb. We are not told how God dealt with the daughters, indeed with Lot himself, except that the offspring from that act, Moab & Ammon, were rejected by God & were given over to idolatry choosing to reject the True God. As too with Edom, the offspring of Esau. All three families had bad relations with Israel, even from the beginning as they went to war with Israel over Israel's march through their territories.
"Have I ever worked on the Sabbath?" I'm unsure about the purpose of this question at this occasion, but I'm never one to turn down an answer. I'm not a Jew so I don't observe the Sabbath - I do however observe the Lord's Day as a special day to meet with other believers around God's Word & in corporate praise of Him. Yet, everyday is a 'day of rest' for me as I experience that ongoing rest & satisfaction in my spirit in knowing that I'm loved by God, kept secure in it & have a certain hope for our uncertain future. Hebrews 4:1-11.
"But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:"
This would occasion the prayer regarding their flight in verse 18.
This verse in turn refers back to Daniel's vision in Daniel chapters 10-12 which culminates with the abomination that maketh desolate in Daniel 12:11. Those hearing Jesus would likely remember from their history a desecration of the temple by a vile oppressor, Antiochus Epiphanes.
Before Judah and Israel are fully restored, they will endure their worst ever persecution at the hand of Satan. ( Revelation 12)
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 also tells us, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
When the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70, the very generation Jesus was speaking to was subjected to a similar catastrophe, enslaved and scattered throughout the world.
Last time Mishel gave verses that where out of context and other things and then changed his view saying he did not know , well yes we already knew that !
So again where is this rapture event found in the Bible a second chance to prove you are not a false teacher ! Go for it !
If anyone believes in the Rapture and all it's doctrines they have no clue on the Bible in general .
If you think you can sin , and expect to go to heaven you have believed a devils gospel .
Both of which M has taught .
I'm not condemning any one just speaking truth to errors !
Amen !
13 Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;
17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
18 What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
As I witnessed the glass tower full of people, in an inferno of fire, the jihadist had gotten a terror attack over President George W Bush, over President George H Bush, and over President Ronald Wilson Reagan, and President George W Bush morning and praying to GOD
So in verse 2, we read, "At that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time". This "second time" phrase is misleading & certainly cannot mean a re-circumcision as that is not really possible nor required. I feel that we can understand it to mean that "what Israel had neglected to do according to God's directions, they must now do as a second (or, renewed) act to perform. So these who will now been circumcised would not just be babies but also men, as the rite has been re-established, which was once overlooked.
But if you're also enquiring about the rite of circumcision, then this physical cutting was the permanent sign required by God that Israel was a separated people, different from any other people or nation ("a token of the Covenant betwixt Me & you", Deut 10:16). If it were only a marking on the flesh, then this would over time be obliterated, but circumcision would permanently show a separation of a people to God. For the Christian, circumcision & all Jewish rites are not observed, as Jesus death & resurrection & gift of the Holy Spirit meant that it would no longer be our skin, but our hearts that would be circumcised, as sin would no longer reign in us ( Colossians 2:11). And this, God also would do for Israel ( Deuteronomy 30:6) which is what circumcision of the flesh should direct all God's people to have: circumcision of the heart. But how often we fail, as Israel failed - but we find forgiveness at the Cross.
As mothers, oh how we hurt when our beloved children are in pain. I pray your dear son's knees to be strengthened miraculously whether it be from arthritis, past injury, not enough exercise, bad habits or whatever. We all need so much help whether it "shows" or not! So many things can start to go wrong that our whole Beings come under attack. It is an astounding pain to have our knees in bad shape, and one that affects our whole being. Soldiers in my family have faced many injuries to their knees and it has certainly touched my own life through two MVA's in 8 years that involved irresponsible drivers. Forgiveness is crucial, even If we haven't caused the problem. And forgiving ourselves is so vital when we have just plain made bad choices as well. So May every drop of grace and constructive help and direction Come to your family.
I pray every blessing and mercy over Mike and your spirit, soul and body and all forms of tender mercies to flood both of you. It is so easy to put on weight and feel down and it can be just as bad for skinny Folks who for whatever reason have severe knee trouble. It's very hurtful, even humiliating when folks face pain of any kind that brings judgment and assumption to us, or our loved ones, as we don't want their struggle to bring them down into a physical or mental health crisis. You sound like a very caring mom and I'll be praying for you as you search for those prayers for strengthening the knees and causing new Hope to rise up for the times ahead...as you stand on His promise. May the Precious Holy Spirit speak to your beloved son about whatever may be heavy on his heart that might not show...we thank God for Jesus Who knows all about it. May His Truth and Love comfort you, dear sister.
Respectfully,
LW
Your sorrow which must lead to repentance WILL find the Father's forgiveness. 2 Cor 7:10, "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death". This speaks of the difference between a true sorrow that comes from a heart that belongs to the Lord as opposed to the World's sorrow (here, means 'regret') which avails nothing. You are truly under conviction of your actions & this conviction can only be from the Holy Spirit Who longs to draw you back into cleanliness & harmony with the Lord.
As much as you now feel the love & companionship that has been missing in your life for so long, the Word of God is clear about entering into a second marriage: 1 Corinthians 7:10-16. Divorce is an extreme permissible act, but re-marriage is not allowed. And that, as you will know, is because the marriage bond is of God & for a reason: Mark 10:7-12. You have been both physically & mentally faithful to your husband for so many years whilst under trying conditions; if at all possible, you need to go back to him & remain faithful in your vows, thereby being God's witness to him that might alert him to his errors. But if you have to leave, then God requires you to remain single. Many Christians in such a situation would prefer to re-marry, but then their position is not for us to judge.
Scabies needs to be treated quickly & the home decontaminated. Anything that might cause us to become alert to sin is useful, but not necessarily a result of it.
Read the gospels , try to hear what God is saying
Genesis 27:41
And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said IN HIS HEART, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
Romans 9:13
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Malachi 1:3
And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
Obadiah 1:18
And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.
1 Corinthians 7 teaches you and a Christian husband may declare a fast from sexual relations for a time (but not years!).
Do not commit adultery. Repent of any impure thoughts. Commit yourself to God to settle this issue. We are not constrained by Old Testament laws. Matthew 5, Jesus restates issues of divorce.
Satan is accusing you in your head. He wants everyone to be clueless and commit sexual sin.
See a Christian marriage counselor, or your Pastor. It helps in court to show you sought advise. Get your own attorney.
Commit your path to the Lord. Listen.
