    Well said and Holy. That was a great representation of Gods Words. We all fall short of the glory of God because we are not perfect and with sin. But we get better and try to be the best version of Christ everyday. This is called sanctification. People really need to understand this so more may come to Christ.
  • Randall Randall - In Reply on Amos 5:26 - 5 years ago
    True. But for the Bible Gods word to be true, it is the way it is. They will have another chance when Jesus comes again. God Bless
  • Randall Randall - In Reply on Proverbs 20 - 5 years ago
    Absolutely not. Your are right to call God Father, I am, and many different names. He is all. Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
  • Randall Randall - In Reply on Psalms 36:11 - 5 years ago
    This is not true! Only God knows your true heart. You are still a sinner even if you are saved. You are not God and therefore you can fall from grace. But your salvation is set and held in Gods hands eternally. Paul says we all fall short of the glory of God. You can have a person whom follows all the rules but without the acknowledgement of Christ as Lord and Saviour you will not see the Father. Read Romans

    No one comes to the father but through me! Jesus. Once you except Christ into your heart you are Justified by his death. Then the road to learning with the Holy spirit is sanctification. You are saved from your sins past present and future period. All will far short of the Glory of God but once saved The Father (God Head) puts his hands over you and that's the end of it, you are his child! Can you still sin, yes if you dont listen to the Holy spirit. Jesus said to guard our minds. Jesus said this be cause he understood past present and future and knew we would struggle will sin in our minds. But a true Christian in true faith and relationship with Christ knows he can fall from grace. And this is why we are having this conversation so that we reinforce Gods words. If you do not have on the full armored of God how can you be perfect? You cant because most of us know we are saved because we have on the helmet of salvation but we are running around naked without the other parts of the armor that make us whole. Evan as we are saved we sin and those who say they are true Christains without sin, are not saved at all. To walk in Jesus's footsteps is to have relationship with God but to be him is impossible. Remember Jesus said we are little Gods with a small G. Dont doubt your salvation because you are not perfect or may fall from grace (sin), but instead doubt your imperfection cant get better to be more like Jesus. GOD BLESS! Jesus came to save us by dying on the cross, so that we may be saved from the raptor of certain death. Our job is to sow and grow the crops through the Gospel, dont worry about the benefits, give the Glory to God, for that is what we will be judged for, not for our sins. So give the Glory to God in everything you do. From the time you get up till the time your lie down and know that he knows your needs, and He The Father loves you greatly. Love in your hearts!

  • Going Forward With Jesus - In Reply on Genesis 1:19 - 5 years ago
    I mean no offense. In both of these comment rooms past history, are close to 200 pages that are able to be read by everybody.

    Genesis has been discussed almost every day. Plenty of good reading available!!!

    There are some scriptures that can be interpreted as Pre-Adamic. I think personally, that if The Godhead wanted to fully reveal Bible vs Archaeology plus science; God would have written a Book in the Bible about it. He didn't. We must accept His reasons.

    The Entire Bible is about Jesus Christ: Beginning to the Ending. I CAN wait till I get to heaven to attend that class on the mysteries of creation to Revelation.

    What does any of that have to do with someone being born again; trusting in Jesus to save their souls And take them to heaven??

    The Gospel is about the Son of God. He is known as the Son of Man. That is who we are to Follow. Clearly, God loves all the sciences! He left plenty for us to discover and investigate; find and show to others. He made ALL of this. That's what Romans 1 is all about.

    We are to rest in the LOVE of the Savior of mankind: believe in him, trust in him and be born again so we can go where He is. He knows you have questions. Learn patience and you will surely get all the answers to your questions.

    In my personal experience, if I have a question: I ask the Holy Spirit and He answers them. It takes RELATIONSHIP to hear His Voice. I was dum as a sheep until I got completely wrapped up in the Holy Spirit. Every day, reading my Bible, being still before His Presence; and asking a million questions.... I fall deeper in love with Him every day!!

    Do we fail and disappoint the people we live with (sorta like sin?) We have to apologize immediately so we can go on to other things without grudge bearing. Relationship goes through rocks sometimes. Climb over and get to the good stuff.

  • Jack C Gutknecht on Romans 15:13 - 5 years ago
    Paul prays that God will fill the Roman church with joy, peace, and hope (15:13)

    I am rejoicing, ever rejoicing,

    Trusting and hoping all the day long;

    Looking to Jesus, only to Jesus;

    He is my refuge, comfort and song.

    What the Lord is saying, is that all shall know him through his death as the new covenant and not that of the old. But by only the death of Jesus shall anyone have a relationship with the father. Not by old ways and works. God Bless!

    Alexander, I'm unsure what aspect(s) of Psalm 99:6-9 you are wanting discussion on, but will write on a couple of verses.

    Verse 7: God spoke to the children of Israel while on their journey out of Egypt into the land of Canaan in many ways & specifically the verse mentions "in the cloudy pillar". This 'cloudy pillar' of course was the means that God used to guide Israel on their journey in the daytime (the pillar of fire at night). But when Israel stopped to camp, the pillar remained at the Tabernacle door ( Exodus 33:10). This then is the reference made in the Psalm that "God spake to them in the cloudy pillar" as God communicated His Word to Moses & Aaron via the cloudy pillar that stood there.

    Verse 8: The word, "Them" refers is to the children of Israel, not to Moses & Aaron (though Aaron & Miriam were also guilty, with Miriam turning leprous). The Psalmist says that God was a God who forgave them (their sins), but also a God Who took vengeance on their inventions. The Hebrew word for 'inventions' speaks of the 'deeds' of Israel during their march, particularly their evil deeds & shameful actions. We know how they wanted a molten calf to represent God ( Ex 32:4), their complaints about food & water, no meat when God gave them manna, against Moses, etc. And God was displeased with them for their complaining & obstinacy (read Psalm 78 to get a fuller picture of these events).

    The reason a saved person cannot fallaway is b/c we are bornagain by his living WORD and his WORD cannot return unto him void, Thats the law with God, My word shall NOT RETURN unto me VOID but shall surely prosper in the thing that i send IT which is ETERNAL LIFE.My sheep have Eternal life and No man can pluck them out of my hand and my Father that gave them me is GREATER THEN ALL and no man is able to pluck them out of my Fathers hand. Them that hath shall MORE be given, but them that hath NOT from them shall be taken what they THINK they have. So true salvation is a have or have not situation.

    Various cultures have their own 'record' of these beginnings & of natural or supernatural phenomena that took place. However, in the 'tale' you have shared here, the problem with this (apart from being something not included in the Bible, in Moses' writings), is that when God created the heavens & earth & brought in light to dissipate the darkness, He did it before he made mankind.

    So if this culture you mentioned say that generations were born & died experiencing this phenomena, then the Bible would refute this account as being impossible as man did not exist at that time. But if you are of the belief that there was a separate creation of humankind prior to Adam & Eve (as some believe), then that would be speculation only without biblical or historical basis to back it up.

    Laurie.

    a. "How can one be lost if Jesus saves him? If Jesus saves (i.e. saved by having faith in Jesus' sacrificial work on the Cross & subsequently indwelt by the Holy Spirit), then no one, whether oneself, another, the Devil, can 'un-save' you. The problem arises when we see a believer, hear his testimony & see his new life, & we deem him a saved/born again person. But do we really know what happened in that encounter with the Spirit of God? Was there contrition for sin, true repentance, & a re-birth experience? We can never know, nor are we given such licence to do so - that is God's department. We are just to accept each other, love each other & encourage each other in our faith. So, the true believer cannot be lost & the test is his continual hatred of anything that smells of sin, his struggle against it as well as a great desire to please God & live for Him. If he wants to & relishes sin, then "by their fruits ye shall know them" ( Mt 7:20).

    b. "Once ur saved aren't u saved eternally?" Yes we are because God's Spirit has done the saving & not man. Sometimes, the Gospel preacher can get so excited & proactive in sharing the Gospel, he won't stop until he gets a confession of sin & prayer of repentance from the unbeliever. We are to preach & persuade from the Scriptures & leave it to the Spirit to take over. So many of those are then convinced that they are now born again & end up derelicts in faith & their final end made worse than the beginning. The Scripture I often use in support is in 1 John 5:13: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that YE MAY KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." We can know now - Today - that the salvation Christ has given us is real & the promise of eternal life is our possession now. There are many religions, including the RCs & Muslims, that have to wait for God's final judgement to know their destiny - Jesus makes it certain for us.

    Still, my original questions remain.

    Satan was not Cains father. Where did you get that? Cain was Adam and Eves son. Satan is a angel ( a bad angel). There fore he could not have sex with Eve. Angels do not have sex for they are neither male or female.

    As long as you didn't curse the Holy Spirit you can be forgiven if you ask. Cursing against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven. The only unforgivable sin.

    Scripture doesn't clearly give us all the details. That's for sure. One of the questions I will be asking God when I see Him face to face.

    The verse you listed but from many different bibles and beliefs did not all have the word "That" in it. This verse, in all the bibles listed quite simply says. " Dont tell lies to your brothers in order to cause fighting among them." We all know by the time we are in grade school that lying and gossiping is not a good thing. It spreads hate. And hate brings violence like bullying which we discourage greatly in our schools and always feel bad for the person being bullied as well as grateful if it is not our kids that are targeted by bullies. This includes cyber bullying.Which is deliberately trying to hurt someone by telling lies, spreading gossip, name calling etc.

    and doing it with an audience which makes it a million times worse. Theres NEVER ANY GOOD REASON FOR ANYONE TO SPREAD LIES TO CAUSE HATE ANGER, VIOLENCE & BULLYING ." That's what God is saying. Being a Christian who ACTUALLY tries to always follow the rules of God & the bible I like to think about how Jesus would handle it. Could you see Jesus sitting on a laptop on social media typing out to the entire world lies or calling people names, delibertly bullying others. Do you see Jesus cheering anyone on that would do such a thing. I think not. Jesus had a crown of thorns pushed down upon his skull and nails hammered into his hands and feet & hung on a cross in the sweltering heat as people below called him names and heckled him. Can you imagine the incredable amount of physical as well as emotional pain he must have felt? Did jesus swear back at them? Did he call them names? True Christian's living a true existence according to Gods law should remember this next time they think it's ok to send discord about anyone even politicians through their face book messenger. Someday you will be judged. Not by Trump, but by our Powerful God who made each & every one of us in the entire universe. God Bless America and God Bless our World.
