I am not 100% sure but there are 4 seasons
Spring, Summer, Fall or Autumn and Winter
Sometimes the Bible calls many years a LONG SEASON as in Joshua 24:7 70 years in the wilderness
    Hebrews 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

The Antichrist, to me I think is already in the world even as the Apostle John said. It can be anyone or anything provided it denies Jesus the Christ and God. it can be even technology, science, entertainment, and so on. to me I believe anything that's in one way or the other pulls you from God or your spiritual life can be an antichrist

17...if thou wilt enter into Life.
21... thou shalt have Treasure In HEAVEN.
23...shall hardly enter into the KINGDOM Of HEAVEN.
    24...the KINGDOM Of GOD.
    28...The Throne Of HIS GLORY.
    29... Shall inherit EVERLASTING LIFE.
notice in these verses JESUS mind is on SALVATION for us, plus notice how JESUS teaches us about SALVATION using different wordings in this chapter, other chapters also, nevertheless the intent of JESUS HEART is always we become SAVED from the lake of fire. John 3:16-21 direct us to SALVATION thereby we are decide if we will accept SALVATION through JESUS.

Notice the words of jesus in verse 14, 17, 21, 23, 24, 28, 29. example: verse 14 ...the kingdom of heaven. verse 17... but if thou wilt enter into life. verse 21... and thou shalt have treasure in heaven. verse 23...the kingdom of heaven. verse 24...enter into the kingdom of god. verse 28...the throne of his glory. verse 29...shall inherit everlasting life. ....all these verses teach us how jesus taught the same thing or salvation in different ways. john 3:16-21 is another very good verse applicable to these verses.

I didn't say I didn't want to be baptized, neither did I say all the people on their death beds, people in burning buildings, people being murdered who confessed their sins to God, knowing they were dying, didn't want to be baptized, I said we don't have to be baptized to have salvation....Jesus told the thief on the cross, " Today, he would be with Him in Paradise", he wasn't baptized.
By the way I WAS BAPTIZED as a profession I was serving the Lord....not for my Salvation...

Hi Roberta, God spoke to them, It's ok! John 14:27 " Let not your hearts be troubled , neither let them be afraid."
  • Adam - In Reply on Acts 1 - 6 years ago
Hi Debra, how do you interpret Acts 2:38 ? If you don't think it's necessary, do you think it's important? If not, why do you think the Bible says this? Do you think there's any downside to a Christian being baptized other than getting wet and maybe feeling inconvenienced or embarrassed? For example, if a Christian wasn't 100% sure that Acts 2:38 meant baptism was necessary or not, why wouldn't a Bible-believing Christian want to be baptized?
  • Debra Fanning - In Reply on Acts 1 - 6 years ago
Adam, I am hearing baptism is part of salvation....It is a witness to the world that God washed away our sins through the blood Jesus shed on the cross and therefore we have been saved .....I used the thief on the cross to make a point to those having not been baptized that they ARE saved " through grace...by faith." Ephesians 2:4
  • Adam - In Reply on Acts 1 - 6 years ago
Does God not have the power to save whomever he wants to? Can't God see the hearts of people? Is God not a fair judge? Why doubt what Jesus says?
  • Debra Fanning - In Reply - 6 years ago
Anyone not saved will not enter into the Kingdom of God.....Is there still time the Word can be spoken to them? If so, go as fast as you can....prayers to you and for them...
  • Debra Fanning - In Reply - 6 years ago
Doesn't matter why, where, when or how....if you feel the God through the Holy Spirit is calling you to make things right with person...Please do so....ask God to help you know how and what to say. Ask him to soften the heart and ears of the person to hear and accept what you need to say....You can call, write or go in person. Ask God to show you and He will...
There is a reason it is on your heart....even if it wasn't your' fault...please do it...

1 Corinthians 15:51-56 51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." 55"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" 56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

    1 Corithians 15:51-58

Speaks of the "sting of death" and how death is overcome. I don't fear death, because I know I will go to heaven....And I won't doubt my salvation, because I'll most likely be in such a poor physical and mental state satan won't be bothered with me. I fear the unknown as in how and where. I fear leaving my family. I don't want them upset or afraid, because I'm not here for them, especially my small grandchildren. I know we all have someone we wonder about. I guess I'm being selfish and for that I'm sorry.....

Very True Debra God tells us we are not to Judge anyones Salvation only He knows their Hearts and Destiny As you shared about your Brother they may Repent on their deathbed I did at the point of Suicide I didn't think anyone could Love such a Rotten Sinner like I was especially God I had hurt Him so much how could He forgive me but He did and will untill Im Perfected in His Love But that does not mean I have an excuse to Continue to Sin Romans8:1 even though Jesus is my Advocate but Sin Pollutes and Hurts So I'm now Working Out my Salvation but not meaning working for it Phil2 God knows those who are His even before we are Born and He tells us not one of us will be lost He Protects our Soul.

Thank you Fred and yes we do indeed need Gods Wisdom not Wordly reasoning and understanding, if not corrected it will lead to acceptance of Sin. Proverbs 4:7 -Proverbs15:2. We were not Born with Gods Wisdom so we all lack it but when we ask in Faith we will receive James 1:5-8 because it is according to Gods Good Will for us as is the Empowering of The Holy Spirit 1Cor2 - Luke11:13 and also Confirmed in the Scriptures is our need to seek Jesus our only Spiritual Teacher Matthew 23:8-10 who Leads us into all Truth and also when we Study the Scriptures as you shared Fred but of course not like the Pharisees did John5:37-40. God Bless you Fred as you reach out to others with His Love.

I believe this is true, that when we are in the spirit of Christ,we are like him,and are as he is. These truths are plainly written in the scripture. Satan and hell have no power over you, not now, or when you die and are translated into heaven. This because of what he did on the cross for us!This is called redemption, through His only begotten Son. Remember that our flesh will always condemn us and say we are not worthy to be forgiven. That is why we pray for forgiveness and thanksgiving. Pray without ceasing.

Thank you Bob, it's very clear in the Scriptuers you shared that we will be in Heaven when we die because we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and our lives will confirm that we do too unless Heart Repentance is on the deathbed like the Man on the cross next to Jesus, they will excape the flames but there will be no Rewards1Cor3 if their works are Wordly not Gods Good Works. I shared the same Scriptuers as you in answer to what is known as the Great Tribulation and what is called the Rapture today but like the Names Trinity, DNA, Aids and Dinosores which are Modern Names too its Reality as we know is also Confirmed in Scripture. God Bless you Bob as He guides you into all HisTruth.

Galations 3:29 shows those in Christ ARE the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob Israel.
Matthew 15:24 - But he Jesus answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
