Evette Clark, it also means emptiness, untruth. Fruitless desire, or endeavor.

Jesus the son of God is the Prince of the Heavenly and earthly Kingdom when it finally will be the Dominion of the Divine Kingdom after sin. So Michael is not an angel created by God but He was the only begotten son of God the King of the universe. He is the arch enemy of dragon that old Serpent call the devil Satan as He was the represtative of God in heaven who came as the incarnated one.

He gave us free will. If not we would be as slaves forced to do his every word. He didn't want zombies following him.

First you got to know that there was a person named Jesus. He of course is all through the bible but not only the bible but through other publications. If you have computer search and you will see that other writings about him was made by others not only the saved but of the unsaved. Most of these speak of him as a leader of a cult. Many who knew him testified of him after his death.

No where does it say who the two witnesses are. But I believe they could be any 2 of these 3. But it could be you and me or any two saints. I ask God lots of time for Him to let me be one of them. It would be an honor to die again for Christ.

NOWHERE: reminds me of a story I heard long ago about a little girl who was watching her Mother post in a forum something like this one. Her Mother posted: God is NOWHERE. The little girl starting crying. Her Mother asked her why she was crying and she said because you typed God is NOW HERE.

Rachael: Seems to me you are honest. You told all of us and even put it in writing. Have trust and faith in Jesus and pray always and I pray for you also that he will come into your heart.

I have read or heard the same thing as Gonzalo. If it is true or not I don't know. But that's not the point. That eye or a sewing needles eye, it is hard for a rich man to entry into Heaven. But not impossible.

If we believe that Jesus took away all of our sin, with all of our heart, might, and strength, we are made righteous in Spirit by the PROMISE! Mystery of Godliness! No man is made righteous by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit abides in you. Jesus was manifested to take away our sin...why would anyone bring them back by not believing Him fully? John says "does not"..."cannot sin"! Holy

Before geopolitics, only present day Tunisia was known as Africa. The land mass south of Lybia was known as AEthiopia by the Greeks. There were scores of ethnic tribes allied under the main and most powerful family called Ethiopia, Cush, or Nubia. The key is "whose land the rivers have spoiled" does not reflect the modern day borders of Israel, but that of ancient Nubia.

This passage could very well be pointing to the time of the European powers trek into West Africa starting around 1492. This contact came as a result of the fall of Constantinople, and Europe needing to find an alternate trade route. The Arabs had direct contact with the Western Empires of Africa as it pertains to trade. Hence the first contact were by the Portugese.

Sabbath day ended at the cross Jesus already fulfilled the Sabbath day. The Sabbath day was a day to rest, when you are resting you are not sinning. Many Christians so called pollute the sabbath day by leaving their house. Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly - In Reply on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
Thus fulfilling Isaiah 11:10. No more sabbath days Jesus is now our rest as we rest in his words. The sabbath day was a day for man to rest from their labour and sin, when you are resting your not sinning. Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Maybe at that time Jesus wanted to help people but didn't want the miracles to drown out his message of salvation? Matthew 6:3-4. Perhaps humility too.

Vanity: the quality of being worthless or futile excessive pride in or admiration of one's own appearance or achievements. I think it means that Solomon felt our life on earth seemed insignificant compared to what's really important. We come from dust and return to dust when we die, such a short existence. James 4:14 says our life is a vapor.
  • Linda on Matthew 11 - 7 years ago
Jesus said: "Ye shall find rest unto your souls..." not your body the body can be weak and weary while the soul is at rest with God.

Hebrews 10 is the answer. Hebrews 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
