"my people have forsaken Me..and hewen for themselves cisterns that cannot hold water." It is so true. Nothing else can fill the void. Only Jesus. There are so many bright religious ideas that do not lead to God's living water. I pray that God will reveal himself to those seeking in the church and cause us to rise up out of our graves and know God is alive and not just a Sunday activity.

David asked 10months ago, "What thought, action or intellectual pursuit can pass knowledge?" in relation to seeking a deeper level of love Vs19 The answer is: experiencing Gods love which is so deep and complete it surpasses humans understanding or knowledge of love until it is experienced. It is a gift of God. Not attainable through mans wisdom or through learning but through God giving.

Favour is for who or upon who? V6.. for all that are oppressed. V11.. them that fear him. V13.. them that fear him. V17..them that fear him V18a.. To such as keep his covenant, and to V18b..those that remember his commandments to do them.
  • Gary Wayne Smith on Malachi 3 - 7 years ago
Doth not Malachi portray what will happen to any house that forsakes Keeping the Commandments Exodus 20 and Walking in the Statutes Leviticus 20 . Did not the chosen ZION perform idolatry Which breaks the first four commandments and is also unto covetness. Nay means Nay to spiritual death...albeit dead is spiritual death...dead bury the dead means none wilt naught affiliate with the dead.

  • Brianna Vs. 1 on Colossians 4 - 7 years ago
This applies to anyone with a position of power over another. This could be a supervisor, policemen, governments. They often think they are the law of the land. That they don't answer to anyone. However, if someone in power is unjust, then their Master God will hold them accountable. They will be held accountable for how they treat those beneath them.
  • Brianna vs. 23 on Colossians 2 - 7 years ago
Insightful! Some religions teach that you must suffer or hurt your body in order to be pleasing to God, this scripture helps us to reason. It is through an accurate knowledge of God's word that our body can be brought into subject. God's word touches our heart and motivates change. We can fast, mark, deny, ourselves but that may not be necessary. Allow God's word to motivate change, not pain.

Jesus is explaining how people react to the word of God. some does not accept it at all some accept it but not in there heart not rooted and when they are tested they cant stand firm, those who because of fame and fortune cant produce the simplicity of the Word that is Jesus Christ. and last the true believer who has taken up his cross and followed Jesus Christ. Luke 9:23 God Bless
  • Joseph - In Reply on Psalms 100 - 7 years ago
to serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is to accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made Calvary to pay for our sin. to accept Jesus Christ is to have elevating life John 11:25-26 . to not accept Him is Death.
  • EROMOSELE CLEMENT EHIMARE on Acts 11 - 7 years ago
I personally love Peter's humility in explaining to others why he did what he did with the Gentiles. Barnabas was his brothers keeper. Acts 11 also shows that God does not count our sins against us , he love us irrespective of who we are and where we are. just accepting Christ as our Saviour is the access card we need for eternal life. God be praise
  • Deborah on Luke 24 - 7 years ago
LUKE 24 is a beautiful chapter...can you imagine having CHRIST appear to you, sit, eat and talk with you! HOW AMAZING THAT WOULD BE!!! What amazes me also is how they had the old testament to teach them about Christ and yet they still didn't know Him. Also how HE had spent time with them and worked miracles in front of them and they still didn't understand Him nor recognize Him when they saw HIM.

Genesis 1:28 Replenish means to refill..... Genesis 9:1 ... similar Noah was told to replenish after the flood...there was already something before, but got wiped out by the flood, hence refill....not just fill.

This chapter spells out the certain history of God's people. Knowing the previous books of history of God's people, I can see it in short review in this 9th chapter.

  • Kenneth Redden - In Reply - 7 years ago
Yes but all that applies to the third day of creation, we of the fourth day have the blood of Christ and don't have to do anything to have eternal life. However one's position in the hereafter will be influenced by a new commandment, John 13:34KJV.
  • Brianna Vs. 17,18 on Psalms 103 - 7 years ago
Our God is merciful and good. While he does provide for the righteous and unrighteous, the scriptures tells us how he pours himself out for those who fear him. To those who obey his commandments and are counted as God's children. This is a good reminder, that we should examine ourselves and make sure we are doing Jehovah God's will. Then we can experience the FULL blessings from God.

It's mentioned that she brought them up not that she gave birth to them.
  • Brianna on Psalms 100 - 7 years ago
Many people wonder why they should serve the true God, Jehovah Yahweh . I think these 5 verses sums it up nicely. Vs. 2 implores us to know our God . The whole chapter encourages us to worship him and find joy in him. Why? Vs. 2 states a plain answer: He created us. Then vs.5 gives this reason: He is Good, Loyal, Loving, and Faithful Forever. Doesn't that draw you closer to our God!?!?

Scripture says God is male, "Father Son Holy Spirit. The 3 are one. When God revealed himself to me I saw the face of Jesus every time I closed my eyes for 2 years. I can assure you God is male. Jesus said, "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father also." Jesus also referred to the Holy Spirit as 'He'. God has created female beings so he understand both male and female, but he is not a woman.

To live this life is to suffer your whole life as l did, not realizing that because you had a calling in your life when born. You were chosen to do special things for the Lord. But growing up did not know God fully, but instead the world ways. Evilness lerked near me causing many a fall and being alone. But God and l fought the trial off. Not knowing-- l climbed out of the pits stronger then ever. Now in the ending of my life l go out fighting for others. With the Light surrounding me, no one will touch me unless the Lord lets them. My strength comes from the Lord each day. Even though the evilness of this world trys and destroy me. I wake up another day living moment to moment walking in His Son Jesus shoes. No turning back now. I chose this fight to the end. Choose this day who you will serve. Fight to the end!!!!
