No but I guess you are going to tell me. You can do lots of tricks with numbers. pick a number between 1 and 9. Multiply that number by 9 then multiply that number by 12345679. leave the 8 out.

Servants, bondmen, Slaves: My least favorite book of the bible. I was born of a Bondman. I was born in a shack where you could look up through the rafters and see the moon and stars. I was born in a sharecroppers cabin. Now, a sharecropper is a man and his family that lives on a mans land and plants and picks the crop and shares the proceeds with the land owner.

mammon is money. The key word here is serve. Money is not bad if you use it wisely. Supporting your family, giving to charity. Greed is sin but not good works.

Able gave a burnt offering.,the one you call God delights in the sweet smell of the fat,who else delights in the smell?YOU, nothing like the smell of a barbecue, yet Cain offered the fruit of the ground which was provided to us for food ,I give you all things for food ,all the trees bearing fruit and herbs from the earth HALLO is there anybody listening

Hi Stanjett. I believe the 2 witnesses are Enoch and Elijah from the Old Testament since they are the only 2 people we have in God's Word who have never died yet. This is just my opinion and like yourself, I love studying the Word of God.

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh Hebrews 11:4 . For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul Leviticus 17:11 . Cain s offering of fruit was from the earth which was now cursed and quite unacceptable to God.
  • Hectord on Genesis 4 - 7 years ago
To Stan Jett. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother s righteous. I John 3:11-12 NKJV God rejected Cain because his works were evil.

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
  • Lauren - In Reply - 7 years ago
Melvin - Some say it was political reasons. If certain Jews specifically the Zealots had strong reason to assume their Messiah was there, they would cause a revolt against the Romans to overthrow them, which would cause a bad name for Jesus since they are misinterpreting the prophecy about the Messiah subduing their enemies. It wasn't Jesus's time yet to stop the heathen, He had to suffer first.
  • Lauren - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 7 years ago
Stanjett: It's seems likely that God didn't reject Cain's offering because he held back or God doesn't like fruit look at the Feast of Firstfruits where God requests the people to offer their firstfruits to Him , it was because the "fruits of your labor" so to speak are not sufficient to fully appease God. Abel's lamb pointed to Christ, not his own works, and that explains the contrast.

The ten commandments was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. Moses walked around with the law of death the ten commandments. Jesus walked around with a new law, the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Galations 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster

Rejecting or denying our Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross, and was buried, and rose the third day, and now sits in heaven at the right hand of the Father. Also read Mark 3:29 Revelation 13:6

And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. When I was a kid, like Moses, I also could not talk plain. Some said I was tongue tied. Which made me very bashful.Anyone asked me a question, even if I knew it, I would say I don't know. I can surely understand Moses here.

Apostle Paul knew his salvation was by God's Grace unmerited right from his encounter with Jesus. He became what he was the saved man by Grace and as soon as he accepted that his sins were remembered no more. Heb 8:12
  • Evangelist Andrew Kelly - In Reply on Genesis 4 - 7 years ago
In Genesis 4 we read that sin is a killer. When you read Romans 7:17-20 Paul knew Genesis 4 that sin is a killer. The problem man has is with sin with the devil. All sin is of the devil period 1st John 3:8. The problem with Christianity is that they are walking around with the spirit of the devil believing that it is God when it is not. Jesus came so we can be washed free and clear from all sin.
