Andrea, People try to make this chapter say Christ proclaimed all foods clean - but the chapter was not at all about food. It was about eating w unwashed hands and the pharisees making it a moral law breaking issue. Jesus pointed their attention to the fact that eating w unwashed hands does not corrupt a person, but rather evil thoughts, acts and words. Same w Peter's vision about the gentiles-

No sacrifices today because there is no standing temple. Neither a Levitical priest hood sanctified for sacrifices. Though we DO have the One True Elohim and Mashiach who has delivered us by His blood. In His Word it does tell of a future time that sacrifices will be offered AND accepted by our Father. So how this fits in the end times I am not certain. Our bodies today are a living temple to HIM

Jesus said we wd know a tree by his fruits thus we know that christ is god the son by his fruits his words are the very seeds of god he breathe on them and they received the h.g. thus the h.g. was his fruit which is a baby christ his offspring via his seed th word. the kingdom has to come via a birth thats y he is saying unless you receive the kingdom as a lil child etc impling a heavenly birth.

It's not what we think, just how many times does God have to point that out:.. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil Prov.3:5-7 ." Then Paul quotes God to say: Phil.1:27-29. And Ps.51:5.

There is a law with god everything has to multiply after its kind, but we see that christ can multiply after his kind which is god being he is able to sow very seed of god he said to whom the word came his seed it made them gods, thus christ can propagate god in us via his seed. thats y jesus sows that godly seed in us thus christ wd have to be god to multiply god thus the h.g. is the granson.

Though a man said LO, I confess Jesus Christ is come in the flesh to no profit. Verily, I tell ye, a repented heart shalt believe IT. For it is written in the Scriptures, Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, AND shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The original Promise was i will multiply thy seed Christ seed as the stars of heaven Thats y the sower will go forth to sow his precious seed in humanity. Its the very seed of God to whom the word that good seed came it made them Gods,God was so pasionate about this PROMISE that he swore by his very self I have said his words seeds ye are Gods. Being bornagain of an incorruptible seed
  • Alex on Matthew 13 - 7 years ago
How do we know that Christ is really God the son? Simply b c he sows the very seeds of God in humanity which is the Word th living Word not the written word, the living word is the very seed of God and this seed can only be deposited in our hearts by hearing his voice etc not by reading anything but by HEARING means divine understanding, its gestation in the spritual realm,HE IS THE BRIDEGROOM GBU

Matthew 1:16 in greek was a typographical error according to the original Hebrew script by Matthew. According to the original text written by Matthew, Matthew 1:16 must be as in "And Jacob begat Joseph the father of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.", not husband of Mary. You can see it from the digital library of Bodleian Library. I can not paste here the link.

Dear sister, i am new to this forum so you may already have the answer. it is a question of salvation vs. justification-both are by Faith. The promise God made to Abraham was by faith, and that's why he is the father of the faith. Justification is by faith also, based on the finished work of Christ. GBU

I appreciate how the Bible is a reminder of how we should be striving to keep our moral standards high. The Bible is very clear on what it says. In these verses it states that if we practice obscene talking, dirty jokes, fornication, etc. we will not inherit Gods Kingdom. Honestly, if we practice these things willingly, and know what the Bible says, what will we say to our heavenly Father!?!?!?!?

The person taken up was Paul, he experienced a vision or supernatural out of body experience 14 years previous. He did not know how to put it into words or would not speak about it. We know Paul had an eye condition which may be the thorn in the flesh he mentions and this may have happened on the road to Damascus.

The Bible has advice for everything!!!! Our Masters, may be anyone that exercise authority over us, like a supervisor. We are encouraged to keep a good work ethic, as Jehovah God will repay us if our fleshly "master" doesn't. It even instructions these "masters" to deal kindly with their subordinates. After all, we ALL have a master in heaven, whether we recognize his authority or not.

for Verse 35: In my christian walk, i've heard it explained that the women were disrupting the service and Paul was addressing order. My personal view is that it may have been a cultural thing...not sure and i don't rely on commentaries!

Let everything be done decently and in order. i think that we are getting back to bare bones times ahead, gathering in homes or small groups is the way the church began. We can believe for miracles and see the Holy Spirit move wherever three or more agree...let's stay strong.

Can one be a good christian and use profanity? I think not. My co-workers claim to be Christians , but curse with every breath. They even defend their cursing, believing them to just be words, or saying God doesn't care. This verse proves to me that God does care. How can you uttering blessings and saying foul language out of the same mouth? The Bible clearly says this is not right.
