was there a time before the HS was given, like the O.T., there had to be people saved? And those who were are part of the dead in Christ, that will be resurrected on "that day."

    Amen to that!

Hi, if you search ' genesis 1:28 hebrew replenish' you will see several articles explaining this. Replenish just means 'fill up'. It was a stylistic difference in KJV, because in verse 22 is the same word, but that was translated fill instead of replenish. There's other instances of fulfil and other variations that aren't necessarily from a different Hebrew word.

Yes a sense of humor and a wine bibber...but i do believe that he liked to see people enjoying themselves, that's why He liked weddings!

We need to heed ...while it's still day! we will by edifying the body and by witnessing to the lost. this chapter shows that there is a resurrection and also a separation from God... John 9:4 there is a time when no man can work.

Banks have probably been around a very long time, because people had coins as currency then and needed a place to securely store it so it wasn't robbed.

Hello, I think the answer is YES we will see our loved ones in heaven who were saved. You can find videos online of interviews of people who have had out of body experiences. Search Life Beyond the Grave. Also Colton Burpo - The Boy Who Went to Heaven- he was just a boy and met relatives and told his dad details that he would not have known yet if he hasn't actually experienced that.

Hello, Jesus as the Son of God was unique, to whom else did He ever refer to be called the son of God? As in older times, the Judges title referred to an office conferred upon them and they were referred to as gods or sons of the Most High. We represent Christ in the world today and are identified by the Name Character of "Christians"

Jesus mission laid out perfectly by John! Yes He was sent to the Jew first and then the gentile everyone else v. 31. He came to take away the sin of the WORLD. The Jewish nation failed in taking the gospel message of Messiah to the world, but God isn't finished with the nation yet.

maritza, thank you for your post. i do believe that anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord can be saved. The question is whether or not it is right to have objects of worship, or idols in our lives, homes etc. You are also right that preachers that sell kerchiefs for healing are bunk! it may be that God chooses at times to use things as instruments, like the widows jars or other things.
  • Teri on Luke 18 - 7 years ago
i think all these things are to remind us not to think too highly of ourselves. God is in control and we find strength in weakness when we put our trust in Him. He knows our frame..try to be humble and teachable.

i agree and believe the time for spoon feeding is over. If your teacher doesn't study how can he deliver solid food...we all must study to show ourselves approved.

Dear Servant, look up all the verses on assurance of salvation and maybe you will be convinced that you can know that you are saved, NOW! That's the life worth living that Jesus paid for. The bonus is that we also have obtained eternal life in him also. GB

Michael, you really nailed it perfectly!

Keep in mind matthew 6 about doing alms and remember that God looks at the heart. some think they are getting "rewards" but may find their works were burned up! others, do not kind things when they should and miss the opportunities to really please God.
  • Teri on Luke 9 - 7 years ago
don't get too accustomed to this world. Jesus was just passing through and so are we! We get entangled with the "cares" of this life. we like to be comfortable, and there's nothing wrong with that, except you have to keep your eyes on the one that matters-Jesus and eternal life with Him.
  • Teri on Luke 6 - 7 years ago
I agree Patty! David could not escape torment until he called upon the Lord. There you find hope, peace and restoration!
  • Teri on Luke 5 - 7 years ago
We can forgive offenses, only God redeems man from his sin nature. No priest, pastor, or preacher can do it either. Sin is eternal separation from God, make sure you are forgiven by Him only but strive to live in harmony with everyone...

Jesus is God! He came in the "form" of a man...He is the High Priest according to the order of Melchizadek with no beginning and no end, selah. He is seated at the right hand of the father, and has rested from his work. He cleansed the temple and tore the curtain by which we have access...to come boldly.
  • Teri on Mark 14 - 7 years ago
because of the HS we now have the power to resist sin, which we could not do before we were saved. We need to call on Him daily for the ability to resist temptation. He always provides a way of escape, but we need to recognize it.

Yes, the Antichrist is a deceiver, an counterfeit. We have only a short time left to witness and save some!
  • Teri on Mark 8 - 7 years ago
Jesus models the heart and will of the father at all times. He always has compassion, as he teaches the disciples and us how to follow. Precept on precept.
  • Teri on Mark 7 - 7 years ago
Jesus is God, and makes no mistakes because He Knows All Things! It shows that by healing the gentile woman, God is no respecter of persons...

What clothes should men and women be wearing on Sunday at church?
  • Christian - In Reply on Hebrews 3 - 7 years ago
It delights the Father when people put their sins at the cross and rest in Jesus. If we don't have unbelief, then we are living in the total rest and peace of Jesus. Everything else that comes after that works is the evidence of our salvation not the cause of it. Matt. 7:23 was caused by doing works while in unbelief and not completely trusting in the work of Jesus completely.
  • Tom for verse 6 on Acts 13 - 7 years ago
Acts 13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: Barjesus... I think he was pretending to be Jesus. Not going to work! Praise the Lord!
