so many prophecies fulfilled from Gen to Malachi in the O.T. This chapter brings it all together when your spiritual eyes have been opened. He died in our place and paid the sin debt for us. So greatful, thank you Jesus for saving me.

God desires to be intimately known, i think the reference to both Abraham and Sarah reminds me of the relationship He had with them, especially to call Abraham "friend" but to be reminded to put away sin so we can have fellowship with Him and experience all the blessings He desires to give us! Comfort, joy, gladness, song...

My head hurts from reading the remarks on this chapter. I want to encourage all of us however, to hold fast to the doctrine that was delivered unto us at the beginning. God created the heavens and the earth, and everything seen and not seen. Read Colossians. Next, if Jesus lied then he sinned? I think not! We must trust that all will be made clear in heaven when we will see HIM as He is. Amen

Yes this chapter is about Israel, like all of us they too must recognize their need for repentance and turn to Yahweh! Messiah Jesus is the Only way.

the oracles of God were given to the Jews, not because they were of any greater importance than any of God's creation...but He chose them. This chapter is about Jesus' assignment on earth. He came to his own and they received him NOT. He will deal with the nation of Israel and redeem the remnant out of the earth of all peoples at a later time to come-v.23

Everytime i read this passage i just tremble. How Hezekiah seemed to self concerned to really understand what he had done? I have heard we are most vulnerable after a mountaintop experience but this is devastating to read about.

God is waiting for whosoever will call on the name of the Lord...v18! His arm is outstretched still to those who need to repent. I was once rebellious and my daughter too, but praise the Lord that He waits for us. That's what we want for ourselves and our children, and that's what Father God wants for His creation.

Babylon is "confusion" many today need to come out of her. This chapter speaks to me to only follow hashem. Babylon is a symbol of Satan's delusion and lies. Beware of the leaven of the pharisees.

Adam and Eve had a perfect life. What a shame that you can have absolute perfection and give into sin and do evil. Sad human nature.

That's a good point. God wants us to do good and doesn't tempt us Himself, but allows us to give in to our own desires or through Satan's temptation.

The Bible literally says Jesus is the son of God the father so that's why I believe it. Matthew 17:5

I wouldn't dare do that. I believe the Word says to not to challenge God- not to put Him to the test. Testing the spirits is ok though- if they say Jesus is Lord you know the spirit is from God.

Hi brother Bruce, You said - "We who are Born-again can eat what-so-ever..." Do you mean to eat any creature? Irrespective of its effect on the body and subsequently the mind? The Lord characterized clean vs. unclean foods for a reason. On 1 Tim 4:4-5 - The issue the believers were having was in regards to foods sacrificed to idols. Not clean vs. unclean foods. Acts 15 21, 1 Cor 8, 10...etc

I have 2 thoughts here, first of all the Lord God means to fulfill his word always. We have to take his words literally and heed them so we can avoid judgement. Secondly, He alone can deliver us in time of distress if we look to him and not our own way.

It reminds me that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church, though she may be battered against, the Lord Jesus will come.
