Jesus said, I will send a counselor. There was no mention of a spiritual mother. Jesus said, love God with all your heart and soul. He did not say to love a spiritual mother. Dear beloved do not allow others to feed beliefs that are incorrect. This is spoken of as misleading or deceiving, even the elect. Get out of such a system to a church that teaches the whole bible. I love you! Kurt

re: "Simply" God's ETERNAL Salvation vs. "temporary or probational" salvation? Please "study" prayerfully carefully 1 Corinthians 5:1-5 And Also 1 Corinthians 3:8-15 And "ask" these questions: 1 Did the UNrepentant saint "lose" salvation 2 Do the "co-laborers" saints With God, who built "wood, hay, And stubble" lose salvation, or is Verse 15 "false"? Grace And Peace Unto ALL!

Verse 11 says that Israel profaned the Holiness. God’s Holiness can’t be profaned because it is absolutely perfect. But our actions can give His Holiness misrepresentation to others about what it is. To have profaned it Israel would have had to be in possession of it. Therefore they backslid from their position and commitment to Him and His character in themselves.

As I under this scripture. These people that are being referred to are people who think because of there WORKS, they can or have the right to inter the kingdom of God. We are saved by Grace. Not WORKS. What you do dose not get you in the kingdom of God.Judaism for example. WORKS dont save You
    Read Ephesians,2: 8.
  • Stephen R Wilcox on 1 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
A text without context has lead many down strange paths. Catholics use verses in this chapter to justify Purgatory. Wow! Paul is saying do not edify the one who gives you doctrine but let the doctrine live or die under its own merits. It will lead to the Ultimate Truth and eternal life or to falsehood and the Lake of Fire at the end of this world.

Great chapter about commitment to the Lord and God's deliverance in time of trouble.
  • Lawrence on Genesis 1 - 7 years ago
Perhaps too much is being made of Genesis Ch1 Verse 3 "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." I don't think God means that he created 'a light' at this point but only created the concept of light to act to push back the darkness. Perhaps the light, after he creates it, comes from his glory. Much the same way a worker might turn on a desk lamp to light his workbench.

God would not call believers in Jesus "sons of God" (as He does throughout the New Testament), while referring to demons/fallen angels as "sons of God" in the Old Testament. Paul tells us that God has never called an angel his son (see Hebrews). God doesn't change. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Adam in Jesus' geneology is called "the son of God." Seriously people.
  • C Boyer on Genesis 6 - 7 years ago
God never called an angel (fallen or otherwise) His son, according to the apostle Paul in Hebrews. Jesus is the Son of God--not brother to fallen angels. Adam in the gospel geneology of Jesus is called "the son of God." Adam is not a fallen angel. John says "Beloved now we are the sons of God..." Seth's lineage (sons of God) intermarried with unbelievers and were wiped out in the flood.

this resembles the 70 people Jesus sent out to preach the kingdom of God. And what will happen at His return. Those s that that survive the tribulation will be taught by the saints Gods laws. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths. Is 2.3 Micah 4.2

Love this book, in response to someone named Nicole G. about how to reach the Lord. One of my hardest things to learn in life: Be still, be quiet, pray earnestly and the Lord will reach out to You Nicole.
  • Alan on Genesis 6 - 7 years ago
I keep noticing a claim by Christians that Noah warned people of the Flood while he was building the Ark, and since nobody listened to him, they got swept away in the Flood. Sort of a reverse of the fable of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. But that's not actually what the text says happens, is it? Why is that teaching so widespread?
  • Lilian on Hebrews 12 - 7 years ago
Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. He was despise by our shame died on the cross so that you and me will have life. Thank you Jesus for the blood you shed for us amen hallelujah

Question: when reading this scripture can anyone tell me : Are people told they cannot come into a church building, having already ask to have their church membership removed and had been granted their request.
  • Vanessa on Matthew 3 - 7 years ago
as you see he his saying repent from your own thoughts, your own ways and follow God's divine way, sin is the devil device. Repentances means to repent with all your heart to God, be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and to be purged from your sinful ways, be made new with the spirit, remember you cant serve 2 gods but only 1, I choose our Father who art in Heaven, Amen! be baptized, be cleansed!

  • Brianna vs.5 on Psalms 37 - 7 years ago
Another scripture on being successful. We have to live our lives according to God's standards in order for him to act in our behalf. We also have to rely on him, not ourselves. Then, God can act for us and we can live happy lives.

  • Gordon kayes on Hebrews 10 - 7 years ago
    V 26 I think Irene meant v 26.
    Here is my understanding.
Hebrews is about Salvation through Jesus Christ only
The sin of the Hebrews is unbelief, A rejection of Christ to go back to the Law and faith in ones own works (self righteousness" To God that is the worst thing one can do- reject his son. saying Christ died in vain. Hence the worst punishment. see Matt 21 40-41

Verse 48~The leaders were not worried about whether what they were doing was right or wrong, they were concerned with maintaining their position and authority.
