Thank God for the Book of Psalms which is relevant to every situation in our lives.
We should praise God at all times for it is in Him we live and move and have our very being.
  • Theresa on Proverbs 21 - 8 years ago
Jim, I think you meant verse 20 concerning money. I agree with you.
  • Alex on Isaiah 62 - 8 years ago
Jere 3 v 17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the Throne of God.Meaning the kingdom of God and all nations shall be gathered unto it Only way all nations cd be gathered unto it is if it were within us. As Jesus said the kingdom of God shall be within you which is N. J. the kingdom of GOD.Paul tells us that O. J. is like Hagar and is in bondage with her children, CAST OUT THE BOND WOMAN .ETC
  • Jeff Berry on Genesis 3 - 8 years ago
The Word of God deserves more than just a cursory reading. Did God create darkness or is "darkness" the result of the creation of light? The word "created" in Isa 45:7 is more accurately translated (the) "one-creating"
  • Alex on Isaiah 62 - 8 years ago

We must remember that God is in control. The Lord is able and will bring us down, if we fell to recognize Him. He has is a mighty God!
  • ALEX on John 13 - 8 years ago
The foot washing was a HEART washing, Satan enters our hearts not our feet, Jesus had always said what comes from a MAN HEART is what DEFILES him, He neva said our personal hygiene defiles us. He says to eat with unwashed hands defileth NOT a man. Jesus said he that eateth bread with me has lifted up his HEEL against me,But Judas neva assaulted Jesus with his heel.ITS OUR HEARTS THAT NEED WASHING

  • Peter A. Okebukola on Isaiah 62 - 8 years ago
Today, December 6, 2017, President Donald Trump of the US announced the movement of the Embassy of the US from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The prophecy of Isaiah is getting fulfilled. Great is the Lord.
  • A disciple on Zechariah 12 - 8 years ago
"And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." God is putting all the earth into the furnace to be melted, to show what is in their thoughts; who is on the LORD's side, and who is an antichrist child of the devil! Jesus will come to save Israel!
  • A disciple on Mark 10 - 8 years ago
Marriage is a wonderful blessing and kindness from God. How dreadful for a man to be alone in the world, and a woman to have no man to be his companion and help build his house! But no one seems to give us the kind of advice and deep insight we need to build a successful Marriage relationship. It takes love, first and always! And it takes humility and honesty, and not being too proud to learn! :)
  • A disciple on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
"The whole human race deserved destruction..." We hear this kind of preaching a lot; and I have to admit, I too have parroted this idea. But we should really pay attention to the meaning in so many of the Lord's parables, about lost sheep, lost sons, etc. and the love and tender mercy of God, and His view of a lost and sinning world! Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more! Freely forgiven!
  • A disciple on Acts 26 - 8 years ago
Anne; you say it! Whatever is in our heart, whatever grace, whatever truth, whatever real knowledge and experience in God; will be reflected clearly for all to see: and so the Holy Spirit in us will THEN indeed be able to convict and convince men, by the truth in us. Lip service and salesmanship doesn't fool anyone but those who have no discernment. Stage-playing is a cunning art of the devil.
  • A disciple on John 3 - 8 years ago
Stand a man; if as you say, everyone who doesn't believe in Jesus is evil; what does that make the one who tells the unbeliever or unclean, "Stand by yourself, away from me; for I am holier than thou!" The difference between the one who comes to the light, and those who don't; is that our deeds may be manifest; that we give an honest accounting to God, like Abel; and show God our trust in Christ!
  • A disciple on John 3 - 8 years ago
Alex; There is no competition between Baptism and the Cross! Neither Jesus nor any of the Apostles ever told anyone that had been Baptized by John, that they were in danger of forfeiting the benefits of His Redemptive Sufferings! If we are not Baptized into Christ, and into the Father, and into the Spirit; then we are none of His; and in no wise in a condition to be Baptized with fire and Spirit!

Stand a man (cont.) Jesus has washed us clean by His word and has reconciled us to God by His blood. NOW we are clean every whit; but we still need to wash our hands and feet daily. In many things we all stumble or miss the mark. Repentance and faith in Christ brings remission of sins; both the immediate effects of conversion and the sanctification of the Spirit process. Be always honest with God!
  • A disciple on John 3 - 8 years ago
Stand a man; I understand very much your enthusiasm; but you will find as you go on with the Lord, that there are some serious and important inconsistencies in your thinking just now. Jesus said to the disciple; those who forsook all and were following Him, and loved Him; If you then BEING EVIL know how to give good things to your children..." If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves. HONESTY
  • A disciple on Habakkuk 1 - 8 years ago
"Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous." Everything for which the devil slanders God and accuses His People of, he himself is the one doing those things! The children of the devil can only imagine to satisfy their lust for power and authority by slaughter and oppression; and this is their religion!
  • A disciple on John 3 - 8 years ago
"That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." What do we have to do then to "Believe" in Jesus? For many of us when we first get saved, we don't know a thing except that we have to repent of our sins and change our life by following Jesus with all our heart. What if someone's on their death-bed after a lifetime spent running behind other saviours and following other gospels "instead of" Christ and they cry out in torments and horrible fear of death and imminently God's eternal judgment and they cry to Jesus to save them? It's an awful risk to take, to wait till the very end and then in utter desperation hope that there's a God and a Jesus to help! The Lord said that He wouldn't turn anyone away who comes to Him with a good and honest heart and sincere repentance. So we hope for the best but take the precious Promise also as it is a most solemn warning for those who do not take a course in life, but think they can push it to the last minute. God have mercy on us all!
  • Createams on Exodus 25 - 8 years ago
This is the purpose that Moses brought Israel out of Egypt to serve God. So here all Israel was to work together to build the tabernacle and for this generation it’s the first time their working together for something they can call their own.
  • Standaman - 8 years ago
Verse 18: The "last time" that John talks about here is the time period that began with Christ's first coming and will end with Christ's second coming when "time shall be no more". Everything that has happened from Jesus resurrection until now was to set the stage for the final showdown between God and the devil, good and evil, Jesus and the Antichrist at the battle of Armageddon.
  • Standaman on 1 John 2 - 8 years ago
Verse 29: To do righteousness means to believe in Jesus. The Lords commandments are to believe in Him and to Love one another. Once a person does this he is righteous because Jesus cleanses him from all his unrighteousness. "let no man deceive you. he that doeth righteousness (Believes in Jesus) is righteous, even as He is righteous." ( IJohn 3:7)
  • Standaman - 8 years ago
24-27: The solid rock foundation is Jesus. If we depend on Him and Him alone for our Salvation and build our life around that fact then we can survive any difficulty that may come our way. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous runneth into it and is safe." Proverbs 18:10
  • Standaman - 8 years ago
15-20: The fruit that Jesus is talking about here is the fruit of our mouth, the things we say. Cause what comes out of our mouth is what proves what's in our heart. "Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God" If a preacher or anybody else preaches that we are saved only by grace through faith in Jesus then you know he is of God and of the truth. Truth=Jesus.
  • Standaman on Matthew 6 - 8 years ago
Verse 22 and 23: Remarkable! Here Jesus is saying we're either 100% full of light and righteousness or 100% full of evilness and darkness. There's no such thing as partly good and partly bad, partly righteous and partly wicked. The only way to be full of light is to believe in Jesus cause He is the light of the world. All who believe in Jesus are full of light, all who don't are full of darkness.
  • Standaman on Psalms 14 - 8 years ago
The fact that there is "none that doeth good, no, not one." proves that the only ones who do good and are saved are those who believe in Jesus. Cause since all of us are evil sinners undeserving of eternal life ( Romans 3:23) then that means the only way to be saved is to have your sins forgiven and righteous imputed upon you by faith and the only way that could happen is by believing in Jesus.
  • Standaman on John 3 - 8 years ago
People who reject Jesus are evil. People who accept Jesus are righteous. What sins each of us may or may not be guilty of is irrelevant. Evil people don't repent of their sins cause they are the real self-righteous hypocrites who don't want to admit they are evil. A righteous person admits he is evil and, therefore, repents and asks Jesus to forgive him and give him everlasting life.
  • Charles Northup on 1 Corinthians 10 - 8 years ago
We must remember it all was written by God and has to agree as one writing? The Father and The Word and The Holy Ghost and these 3 are one.
