  • Cyrus on Jonah 1 - 8 years ago
Jonah was a man who knew God despite his weaknesses ,he knew God will forgive Nineveh if they repent, because He is.God of mercy...people could have seen him as false prophet after what he proclaimed fails to happens, the last chapter of book of Jonah explain his character well.
  • Mild Bill on Psalms 5 - 8 years ago
The Pharisee stood, prayed thus,God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers,or even as this publican.I fast twice in the week,I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying,God be merciful to me a sinner.Saved by mercy and grace of God.Romans5:8 while yet

  • Wayne on Luke 9 - 8 years ago
Alex, are u for replacement theology or not? Couldn't tell by yor statement.
  • A disciple on Mark 15 - 8 years ago
Eddie; that was a very good question! Actually it wasn't that God was looking for someone to die for our sins; for He Himself had announced from the beginning that Christ would come in the flesh born of a woman to undo the works of the devil and save us from our sins, by His own bruising Genesis 3:15. Who the LORD looks for is a man after His own heart whom He might teach and reveal His Word.
  • A disciple on 2 Chronicles 9 - 8 years ago
Eric; King Solomon in all his wisdom and glory was made to be a type of the glorified Christ reigning over all Israel and the world. It was very terrible betrayal for him to let himself be consumed with going after strange women so that he forsook the LORD when he was old! This is a fearful warning to all of us! NO gifts from God nor yesterday's victories put us above needing to watch and pray!
  • A disciple on Psalms 119 - 8 years ago
Puwahmah; I try to understand, you talk about being honest as a Christian, both toward God and men? This is the very heart of walking in truth in Christ in love out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith without Stage-Playing! We have to keep our hearts and minds under strict discipline against wicked and unclean thoughts and desires: we do this by staying close to Jesus and not sinning.
  • A disciple on Hebrews 9 - 8 years ago
Louis; Could you please explain in your own words, and your own understanding, how it is impossible to keep the Law and be a Christian at the same time? Interestingly, the Lord Himself said that the Law and the Prophets wouldn't pass even up to as far as if the heaven and earth passed away! And since when does someone who completes his schooling then have to condemn and forsake all he's learned?
  • Wayne on Luke 9 - 8 years ago
Vv 34 and 35, a cloud came over them and as they entered the cloud, fearfully, a voice came out of the cloud saying, "This is my beloved Son, hear ye Him".
  • Angel on Deuteronomy 28 - 8 years ago
I real enjoyed reading Deuteronomy chapter 28 it brought out in me joy at the being than sorrow or pity because it's a shame that a person would choose darkness over the light of The Lord God that has so much to give and ask little in thought.I perfer to be with JESUS. AMEN

  • Elsie on Proverbs 5 - 8 years ago
Proverbs Chp. 5 - Children should steer clear of actions that may seem harmless only to regret such when the consequences following such actions were not anticipated. Male children should steer clear of "loose women and prostitutes". They may believe they are having fun only to realise that such fun lead to remorse...when it has become too late to remedy the situation.
  • Louis Dean Chambless on Hebrews 9 - 8 years ago
I know a man who believes in and confessed to follow the whole bible, the law of Moses as well as the law of Christ. This is vast ignorance and is impossible. He is immovable in his unjustified beliefs.

you are yahweh ben yahweh you go yahweh to you can teak to yahweh i love yahweh ben yahweh you will of i love to Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes, than break the law of God. By the word of God we are unspeakable gainers. Every man hates to have a lie told him, but we should more hate telling a lie; by the latter we give an affront to God. The more wehim help; therefore he looks up s
  • Eric on 2 Chronicles 9 - 8 years ago
It is amazing to me that one of such wisdom could be so foolish. I do not want to speculate on why he did what he did, but it seems evident to me that he was not wise enough to read God's word daily. For if he had, he would have read that God had said NOT to bring in an over abundance of gold, and NOT to buy horses from Egypt. And, isn't it interesting that the amount of gold brought in was 666?

  • Bob on Psalms 85 - 8 years ago
This Psalm Of David’s is not only a blessing in personal application as many have stated. It is a word of Prophecy given through The Spirit of God to David as the King of Israel and the forefather of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It tells of the Return of Israel to God and some of the events that will accompany that which Our Unchanging God will do as He remembers with great Mercy His child Israel.
  • Rev. Billy Mayo on 1 Peter 4 - 8 years ago
1st Peter 4:2 is the verse which should make us either recognize or doubt our salvation. If we cannot find the desire to abandon the pleasures which Satan so vividly displays then we should have a serious conversation with our pastor and our christian friends.
Learning to submit to the desires of our Lord, is paramount to our salvation.
Ask yourself. "What does Satan really do for me".
  • Tommy Hadden on Isaiah 58 - 8 years ago
The Word is saying, "The Fast", is to get your eyes off yourself. Dealing to others the depth into the teachings you have received. You can only teach what you know to be true by what you have experienced from God. Anything less is unfruitful to others and shows the degree of your own comprehension. Luke 22:31-2
When your faith allows you to overcome the tricks of Satan, then strengthen others.
  • Victor on Psalms 103 - 8 years ago
    A reminder to be thankful.
  • A disciple on Psalms 127 - 8 years ago
"Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep." Why are we anxious? and why do we think about the things that God has the care of concerning us? Our work is to believe in Jesus and follow Him!
  • A disciple on Psalms 126 - 8 years ago
"When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream." We hear people at work cheering themselves up with little sayings like "Livin' the dream" and we think "better wake up!" Reflecting upon this "life" altogether, it seems like "it can't be real!" Reality and truth is found in the Word of God. We wait for Jesus' return, and to awaken the world from this nightmare.
  • Joyce Joseph on Judges 13 - 8 years ago
