Marie Rose: Tell your friend to read 1 John 2:3-4 concerning keeping the commandments. We
know him if we keep his commandments, if we do not keep the commandments, we are liars
and the truth is not in us. This is a clear statement from John. There is no other interpretation for these verses.

It's true, having faith in God's Word brings you peace of mind, and you can mediate and have discernment in the choices you make in your life.
  • MockingBird on Romans 10 - 9 years ago
Faith comes by hearing God's word over , and over , and over , and over , and over , and over , again , and again , and again , and again , and again , and again . Once I've heard , it is time to act on that faith and be doing God's word. God expects me to be doing His word as well as hearing His word . I expect God to do things for me and He in turn expects me to do things for Him as in obeying Him !! Praise God Forever more !!

The Gentiles are grafted in so we are step children, and step children never inherit the full benefits.
  • Lu2677 on 2 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
Paul calls the Gospel of Christ "his gospel" because Paul walked by faith, he did everything in faith, he lived in the Spirit, he abides in God's Word.
  • Lu2677 on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
Spivey, It is the whole counsel of God that sets us free. We must believe in all of God's word; Genesis through Revelation. Men's opinions don't matter, God knows the thoughts of men are futile. The word of God is all that matters. If we don't abide in His Word, we cannot enter His Kingdom.

Christians, those who are born again, washed in the blood of Jesus, by faith alone, are the temples of the Lord.

Abraham had faith even as he took Isaac to sacrifice him to the Lord, and the Lord provided a ram! God is true to His Word, we never have to be afraid that He will require more of us than we can give. Jesus was His perfect sacrifice for us. God gave it ALL for us so that we can come to Him as we are through Jesus.
  • A disciple on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
Spivey; I think every honest and sensitive man can appreciate your anguish. It doesn't help to tell someone who is afraid, not to be afraid; unless you can show some understanding and answers to allay those fears. All the story is written in the Bible! Sin makes us Not Fit For The PRESENCE OF GOD! The Son of God Jesus Christ came in the flesh to give His life for our sins, and reconcile us to God.

Ray: The Law saves no one. It shows we need a Savior! Neither is there Salvation in any other:for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be Saved. Acts4:12 /By The Blood we are Saved. We are Cleanse by His blood. Revelation1:5 / At the same time We are Baptized with The Holy Ghost and with Fire. Matthew3:11/Made New! 2Corinthians5:17)Tug on your Heart ask forgiveness

I John 3:6- whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not, whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. V.8- he that commit sin is of the devil, for the devil sinneth from the beginning. 1 John 5:18,- we know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God, keepeth himself, and that wicked one touched him not. Jesus has the power.

continuing... Irene; You may know already, but the reason that the English word "LORD" is used, is because the Jews adopted a tradition that they are not permitted to speak or pronounce the Name of "I AM;" which many transliterate as Yehovah. That's why they always say Adonai (LORD), instead; and use all capitals to signify Him whom they can't name! Amos 6:10 announced this as a coming punishment.
  • Wayne on 1 John 3 - 9 years ago
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, he that believeth not shall be damned. As far as salvation goes, it's in either believe or not believe. I Peter 3 tells us that baptism does not save us, as a religious exercise. Outward proof to the world the work has taken place inside. For by grace are ye saved by faith. It is the gift of God. Gifts are free, no works involved. AMEN

Remember the word that I said to you that the Servants is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me they will persecute you also If you keep my words they will keep your words also.Thank you Lord for your words I believe you Jesus that if we follow and live like you we have to humbly carry our own crows but obedience to your words are more important than sacrifice I will praise you Amn

Hi Irene; Translating the Bible from the original tongues into other languages has always been a challenge just by its nature. The Hebrew word which is translated into the English, GOD; is El-o-heem, which is in the plural form; and depending on the context can mean gods or mighties or angels. The King James Version is indeed a masterpiece; and I love mine; but it is not the original language.

Marlene: Yes that is right, when The Father calls John6:44/ we feel the tug in Our Heart we asked forgiveness we're cleansed by The Blood of Lamb, at the same time The Spirit moves in: 2Corinthians 5:17 We will have a new Heart. We will know, We will have to tell others, We will be so happy!

  • Bruce on Galatians 1 - 9 years ago
Spivey: you can choose how long you will live and with a new body, no pain,no hunger, for eternity! Jesus will wash us from our sins in his own blood:Revelation1:5 when you fill a tug your heart and you know you need salvation just ask the Lord for forgiveness John 6:44/ you will be Baptized with The Holy Ghost and Fire: Matthew 3:11/ at the same time you will be made New! 2Corinthians 5:17 (Saved!)
  • A disciple on Romans 8 - 9 years ago
Marie Rose; it sounds like your friend is under some bad teaching. The LORD is not unclear about this; that nothing unfit for His presence shall be admitted into His presence nor inherit glory. Much of the problem I think, is in the very wording that those kind always use. We do not accept Jesus! That is outrageous arrogance, and ignorance of God, and of one's self! God accepts us for Jesus' sake!
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 9 years ago
When we compare all four Evangelists' accounts of all that the Lord Jesus spoke of, concerning the completion of the age, and His coming, we can see not only events around the immediate end, but also the whole course of the world during this last time. Matthew, Mark, and Luke give us "the impression" of a rather shorter time frame; while in John is specifically God's purpose with us in this age.
  • Bruce on 1 Corinthians 11 - 9 years ago
Irene: Genesis 1:1 in the beginning Elohiym created the heaven and the earth/ in the beginning God,in Hebrew that is Elohiym the plural of God, in the beginning ------- created The Heaven and Earth. V:26 let "us"make man in "our" image after "our" likeness:---. (el-o-heem)

A disciple - study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 my friend, if you say that you study by rightly dividing the Word of truth and being approved by God, I say God bless you. I gave you the verses and I don't believe you understand it in no disrespect to your beliefs. The body of Christ, God bless. .
