the Holy Ghost replaced the 'lot' when the H.G. fell on all the 120 in the upper room - including Mary and the other women which makes them all - Pentecostals, because this happened on the day of Pentecost. This was the beginning of the N.T.; not the 4 Gospels; they were still O.T. Jesus was the TESTATOR, and the testator has to die before his will can come into force. He had not died yet.

Acts 1:26 - " ..... and they cast forth their lots ..... "; Lev. 16:8; 1 Chron. 6:14; Jn. 19:24; Jn. 7:39. The 'lot' was Go's accepted way in the O.T. of choosing something for His people, because of Jn.7:39. Which proves the 4 Gospels were still O.T.; not N.T.; not until Acts ch. 2 when Peter gave the FIRST message of Jesus new church. Then the Holy Ghost replaced the 'lot'.

The worldly concept of peace is an absence of war. During the time when the Lord Jesus Christ earthly ministry, Israel is under the colonization of Roman Empire and wars are eminent during that time and people of Israel wants peace and security and longing for the promise Messianic king to deliver them from Roman Empire and have peace in their promised land. Jesus Christ is giving them assurance that the peace He is offering is more than the peace they are expecting. An inward peace that surpasses logical understanding. Peace that comes from the Father in heaven is not the absence of chaos and wars, but the absence of fear. If you fear for something, like losing job, losing someone you love, losing security, losing something important, losing the battle, then you don't have peace in your heart. The peace what the Lord Jesus Christ offers is the complete TRUST in Him, having the full confidence that no matter what you will not have fear because He is control of your life and everything.

Matt. 10:9 - just as the spirit gave the flesh (Jesus) what to speak, the spirit does the same for us IF - we are prayed up in the Holy Ghost everyday and obey His (Jesus) commandments Jn.14:15. When Jesus said He didn't speak of himself, but what His Father gave him, He was saying this of His flesh man, that He wasn't boasting of Himself in the flesh - as many have always done.

Jn. 12:49 - Jesus was speaking of the Spirit (God) in Him (flesh), just as we are flesh with His spirit in us. Matt. 10:9. God, the spirit, dwelt in Jesus the flesh just as God the spirit dwells in us - yet we are 'one', not three. The only difference is - Jesus was God; we are not God, but we do have His power to use, we are sinful flesh; Jesus had no sin.

V. 18 - " ..... hath lifted up his heel against me." I've often 'pictured' this v. in my mind as - someone 'thrusting' their heel at someone, but it was shown me just now - it is a simple 'turning away' from and 'lifting up' your heel as you walk. You are walking away and your heels are lifting up 'against' - whoever.

As far as a walk with the Lord goes, don't ever say you would never do this or that, but - the Lord willing I will stay with Him. The former is prideful; the latter is humility.

V. 38 - 42 yrs. ago I first came to the Lord in repentance at a church altar and I heard of a woman who had been in the ch. forb7 yrs., a Sun. sch. teacher and - she backslide - for 14 yrs. I was just new in the ch. and ignorant and full of myself and said, "If I was ever in the ch. that long I sure wouldn't backslide!" Well, 5 yrs. later the Lord showed me different; I backslide for 34 yrs.

Born into sin .. free will.. will you contort and manipulate the faith and word to adhere and conform to this world or pick up your cross and seek christ in this dark corrupt deceptive world? Light shines in darkness but darkness will never comprehend

V. 9 - " ..... he that hath seen me HATH seen the Father ..... "; Jesus didn't say, I am LIKE the Father, He said I am the Father, Jn. 1:14; ! Tim. 3:16.

V. 24 - The ways of God are - unsearchable. Here Aaron flat lied about the situation , yet - God made him a priest of the Holy of Holies anyway. Just goes to show - God KNOWS our hearts.

Despite the discouragement words from Peninneh, Hannah used her Spiritul Instrucment which is prayer effectively and efficiently, another test came through the high priest, but Hannah was not discouraged because she was focused. Jesus told His disciples that "Howblt this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. She got answer to her prayer. May God give us the spirit of prayer.

(verse 32) Moses knew the importance of the Book of life, Jesus told His disciples that whosoever that will master must be a servant first, Moses display the quality of a good leadership by saying that God should blot his name from that book of life,and God retun back to them with mercy.
