Praise ye the Lord. All our praises belong to GOD. He alone deserve all the praise
  • Irene123 on Leviticus 21 - 9 years ago
    L. Eames - Eccl. 12-13; Deut. 10:12-13; Micah 6:8 ; these are beautiful scriptures, aren't they. Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 2:3. They make obeying the Lord Jesus so - easy. That's all one has to do is what they say; and His commandments are all found in the Gospels and the epistles.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Isa. 59:19 - " ..... when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall raise up a standard against him." C. Odoemena, do you know what the 'standard' is?

Thank you Father, Lord Jesus you are our Father in heaven, hallowed be thou name! You are a good God and I will praise your holy and awesome name for the rest of my life. This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it. Amen!
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Deuteronomy 5 - 9 years ago
The 12 Commandments are rendered here for our admonition, adherence and guidance. Not to be found blameworthy in the Judgement Seat of Christ, we need to seek and earnestly pray for God's Grace and His salvation in order to abide by the dictates of the Commandments. Flesh alone will fail us. Amazing Grace will ensure we resist the devil so it will flee from us.

April; Yes, it seems obvious enough, even in today's language, that it refers to a woman on her period: and she should be kept apart and quiet. As far as fornicating; who cares if they've been together already for a long time? it is sin; and yes they need to repent of that rebellion and uncleanness! Should they get married? Why wouldn't they? Isn't that the honorable and mature thing to do?

"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord..." Whether by word of knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures, or by word of prophecy and revelation; these things Paul often spoke about, and it was a fundamental part of the Doctrine of the Lord. Accuracy is absolutely important, as it is the truth revealed by God's Spirit about the things coming. No part of the truth is left for guessing.
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 9 years ago
The description the Lord gives here, about the kind of times leading up to His coming and the end of the age; are the same things searched out and spoken of by all the Prophets concerning the Day of the LORD. An interesting study on the root meaning of the number 666 has shown that it actually implies the removal of restraint, and of going over all bounds; which is where this world is rushing to.

  • Glenn on Jeremiah 32 - 9 years ago
This scripture asks the question, is God supreme. Yes God is supreme. He created us, who are we to doubt or question His greatness. He is sooo awesome. His question actually states to us He is sooo ready, able, and willing to help His creation, mankind !"

  • Ben Davies on Psalms 121 - 9 years ago
Psalm 121 is God's unfailing promise to us. Let's keep the promises close to our hearts as we remind him of them. He said it and has done it for me. He will do more and even new things once we believe in his promises and power. Amen.
  • Trebor Jean Forbes on Psalms 34 - 9 years ago
WE WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT, BUT BY THE DOING OF THE WORD IN US
  • Patrick on Leviticus 21 - 9 years ago
I think Michael said it best, if we were to live according to Leviticus, we would all have bushy beards, none of us would eat meat, we would not be able to socialise with disabled/little people, we would not be able to wear clothing of mixed fabrics. But many of us do these things, so will those of us who do these things be surely put to death or ex communicated? Also is it right to own slaves?
  • Bruce on Matthew 24 - 9 years ago
Richard: You got the puzzle coming together. Revelation 6:8 power is given to:4Horsemen over 1/4 of the earth. Wars, starving, dying are in 1/4 of the earth. Those in Christ are imprisoned tortured, beheaded (getting worse)V:29,matches the 6th seal.
If His people in(USA)would preach Salvation everywhere they too will be persecuted: John15:20/ Not Servin no persecution:judgment! Luke12:9/

  • Peter P. Maginde on Isaiah 2 - 9 years ago
This is a great chapter when jew and gentile shall together come to jerusalem to worship The Lord on Zion. This is the time when righteousness will overcome evil and shalom on earth as it is in heaven.
  • A disciple on Jeremiah 15 - 9 years ago
(see also Ezekiel 23:18) "Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth." Was this the Prophet's mind, or God's? and if it is a grief and horror to us, how much more to the Lord when He is forced to say these things about a people He has worked so hard and suffered so long to save!
  • Danielle on Matthew 24 - 9 years ago
The body of christ is just that a body. Jesus is within that body. The two are seperate, but yet one.
  • A dsiciple on Proverbs 8 - 9 years ago
"O ye simple, UNDERSTAND wisdom: and, ye fools, BE YE of an understanding heart." (v 5) "How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? TURN YOU AT MY REPROOF: BEHOLD, I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT UNTO YOU, I WILL MAKE KNOWN MY WORDS UNTO YOU." (1:22-23) The LORD gives wisdom and knowledge to them that obey, and them that ask!
  • Irene123 on 1 Corinthians 9 - 9 years ago
    J. Thorton - Paul is asking 4 questions - to which the answers would be "yes". to all 4. V. 2 - "If I be not ... to others ..." refers to those who do not believe Paul's testimony - Jews, Gentiles. Alto' there were many Jews 'n Gentiles that believed - there were many more that didn't ( Matt. 20:16); And it is still this way today.
  • A disciple on Exodus 32 - 9 years ago
(verses 25-29) "Who is on the LORD'S side?" We have all heard the explaining away of why the Lord said; "If any one come after me and 'HATE' not his father, mother, brother, sister, etc... he cannot be my disciple;" with the watered down words like; 'LOVE LESS.' But this example with the Israelites shows perfectly, just what kind of spirits are those who receive not nor hear our words about Jesus.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 127 - 9 years ago
    V. 5 - " ..... and in His word do I hope." It doesn't say "in some of His word", or, in just the O.T. or N.T. "In His Word" refers to ALL of it.
  • A disciple on Exodus 32 - 9 years ago
"And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?" As long as the Lord has us to be in this present evil world, we will have to be steadfast and vigilant against the wiles of the devil; and we absolutely must guard and protect the sacred charge of our high calling in Christ, to withstand the defiant and backsliding heart of the hypocrites.
  • Irene123 on Romans 8 - 9 years ago
