I wish I knew more about Jeremiah 50.

I was brought up in a prophecy home and Church and have so many speculations and conjectures that I have have not been able to make a solid conclusion of chapter 50 and 51. I have heard that Babylon is the United states, I have heard that is is a spiritual entity etc.....
Does anyone really have a good answer, your comments would be readly accepted.

This is a very powerful psalm! Much like the other psalms. This one pretty much describes the world like it is now ; as it was then.

in this verse i think that the Lord needs true worship from us,to be courageous and know that God is fighting for us. We need also to b obedient to Him as the three soldiers obeyed their Leader David and they were courageous no matter the philistines were in their camps so this calls on the cost of discipleship,we need to sacrifice no matter how the battle is hard but for God for he has victory.

the comments are insightful. Psalms 91 was introduced to me by my Spirit Filled Mother who wanted me not to be afraid of the storm that had awaken me out of my sleep. The short of her words were if you trust in God all the storms that you face in life can not stop you or turn you against Almighty God. As your love grows for Him, your trust will grow also. How do you love God. Through obedience.

Reply: 12:8 tells us "for to one is given "BY" the Spirit". It is made very clear for one to possess any of the gifts must have the inward dwelling of the Holy Spirit and it's enabling power. A person cannot possess any spiritual gifts without the Holy Spirit that only comes by repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and baptism. The gift(s) are given only by God for mutual benefit of body of Christ.

Let's me know that there is no limit to where I can pray to my father which is in heaven. If I want to pray all day everyday I can and he will hear me and answer how he wants to answer. Its in his will as of how he want to respond to my prayer not my will.

The church of God for sure dwells by His gracious mercy. mankind has been taking spiritual commands for granted, but as the case is, my prayer is for us to abide through divine power of God to be able to prove beyond doubts our true love for Him.
