My Interpetation Written and Spoken by REDAPPLETREATY4MEONLY
Hi, everyone. I restarted my Bible study today after a few breaks. Today I read the first book of the Bible, Genesis 1:1- End. Here is what I learned.
1. Our God is the creator of all things. He has the power to declare anything into existence and anything out of existence. He has declared light into our lives from the very beginning, and we must not allow the darkness to overcome it with our actions.
2. God has created everything we need to survive and succeed as living beings. However, we need to find wisdom and understanding from the scripture to fully utilize it to our own advantage
3. God makes me understand that to build is not enough; we need to put a proper system in place for maintenance. After He created everything, He created humans to maintain them
I understand that the word 'corn' may not seem to fit the time of Jesus; the Greek word was 'sporimos,' translated in the KJV as 'corn fields,' which refers to grain fields. The Greek word 'Stachus,' translated in the KJV as 'ears of corn,' meant in Old English, heads of grain or spikes of grain, the part that contains the seeds.
In Old English, 'ear' was used in the 800s, 'corn' in the 1100s. 'Corn' was used for any single grain, such as wheat, barley, or oats. The corn we know today is actually maize; the name 'corn' was adopted in the 1800s. Jesus and the disciples were probably eating wheat, as it says, rubbing it in their hands, they were separating the wheat from the chaff.
Some of the Old English terms are still in the KJV; sometimes they need a second look, like corn or the word 'replenish' in Genesis 1:28. The first thought might be to refill, but back then it meant to fill up or to fill completely.
That's a great question. I searched the internet and found this answer, which opened my eyes to this matter (taken from that source).
First, a clarifying question: What "heaven" is being referred to? When we hear the word, we often think of the dwelling place of God and believers in the "new heaven and new earth" described in Revelation 21. In Scripture, though, the word "heaven" means different things in different contexts. It can mean the sky above, as in Genesis 1:1. Heaven can mean the spiritual realm where angels dwell, as in Luke 2:15. Heaven can also mean the throne room of God, as in Psalm 11:4.
Satan rebelled in what we might call the heavenly realm, the spiritual dimension where angelic beings operate.
It's important not to confuse the future "new heaven and new earth" with the angelic realm that existed before the fall of Satan. To understand how sin could have entered that realm, we need to look closer at the nature of angels themselves-who they are, how they were created, and what kind of freedom they were given.
The Bible teaches that Satan was once a glorious angelic being. One key passage often cited is Ezekiel 28:12-15, which, while addressed to the king of Tyre, is understood by many scholars to also contain a reference to Satan himself. The figure described is "blameless in [his] ways from the day [he was] created until unrighteousness was found in [him]." This suggests that even in the heavenly realm, angels could choose between right and wrong, just as we can.
Angelic freedom should not be given more weight than Scripture allows. God's purpose is not beholden to creaturely choices. He doesn't take risks. In the end, Satan's fall served God's greater purposes. The devil's rebellion was not outside of God's sovereign plan, but part of it. Without the fall, no cross, no redemption, no ultimate display of God's justice, mercy, and grace.
We read in Jesus's longest prayer in John 17. For the reason Jesus was sent, He says, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
There is one people of God, as stated in Ephesians 2:15-16.
Scripture does not teach that Israel and the Church are two peoples of God with two destinies. Our final destiny is Revelation 21:1-7. There is not one verse in the Bible that outright says we go or are taken to heaven. From Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21, the entire Bible is about the Plan of God and the grace of God. From the beginning of creation. Revelation 3:14 to the end, Revelation 22:12-13.
Genesis 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
The mystery is that the blessings of Abraham might come on all believers, Jew or Gentile, through Jesus Christ, Galatians 3:14. Jesus had to fulfill the covenant of the law to bring in the new covenant that was prophesied in Daniel 9:27.
The Bible has one theme, one covenant of grace, with one Church united in Christ, with Gentile salvation in view from the beginning. Jews were being saved back then, and today, in God's plan for ethnic Jews, not by giving them a separate destiny as a separate people of God, but by bringing them back to Jesus Christ through faith.
I believe you're right in that we must be born again but I don't believe that's to become "made in the image of God.
I believe that's to become "son's of God"
I believe man being made in the image of God speaks of man made as a triune being.
In Genesis 1:26 God said, Let us make man in our image, AFTER OUR LIKENESS.
Adam and Eve was created in the image of God and I believe Gentiles 9:6 suggests that image and likeness was and is inherited in the Son's of Adam, which we are!
We have to be born again to become son's of God. John 1:12.
Even here the word "son" is not a direct "Son" of God used for Adam and the Angels in the original language.
If your "battle" is with believing that Jesus is God, may I suggest the following scriptures for your consideration:
Genesis 1:1 along with John 1:1-3, Revelation 19:13, Colossians 1:15-17, Matthew 1:23, John 10:30, John 14:9, Mark 2:5-7, John 8:58, John 20:28, Isaiah 9:6, Philippians 2:5-7, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 1:8, 2 Peter 1:1, Revelation 1:8, John 5:18, 1 John 5:20, Luke 24:52, John 9:38, Acts 10:25-26, Titus 2:13, Hebrews 1:3, Revelation 22:13, Micah 5:2, John 17:5, John 1:14. There are more, but these should suffice.
You mention that "Christians say that there is no separation between Christ and God," and that the bible shows otherwise. Jesus said I and my Father are one, and He also said that if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father. This may not mean anything to you, but in the book of Hebrews, Jesus is described as the APOUGASMA (the out beam) of God's glory, God projecting Himself through the time/space factor in the person of Christ. Jesus Christ, being God, was never separated from the source. This is why Jesus can say if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.
The best example I can give would be taking a flashlight in a dark room and shining it on a wall. The flashlight is the source, and the light is projected on the wall from the source. There is no separation unless the flashlight is turned off. Now, imagine the flashlight being God, and the light shining on the wall is Jesus, again, no separation. Jesus is said to be the true light which came down from heaven, the APOUGASMA of God.
If you are sincerely struggling with the deity of Jesus Christ (Him being God), I hope these scriptures I've provided might help. Also, if you would like, I can share my personal understanding on Matthew 26:39 and Luke 22:42 and why Christ would ask this.
If I may ask, are you a Christian? If so, who do you say Jesus is?
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth . Gen 1:1
Note it was not Heaven that was in darkness but the earth . Gen 1:2
For that heaven needed no sun or moon for God was the light thereof .
It was the earth that was in darkness and needed heavens light .
And it was not God that was in darkness but man fir " God is light and in Him there is no shadow of turning "
Genesis 1:2 is the recreation of the earth . Genesis 1:1 was the primary creation of both .
The Spiritual and earthly . For all things were made by Him both visible and invisible .
The earth is the Lords .
And God is the "God of all flesh".
He did not need permission to bring about change and always brings light before He starts to work .
The Lord when He walked this earth did not seek permission either to go and do good .
And when challenged referred back to His Father and to what was written .
Man was created in the image if God but he is BORN in the image of Adam .
Thus " shapen in iniquity".
We are by the fall and because of Sin more children of darkness than we are of light . Though Man was created for the Light . Fir shine a light into a man's eyes conscious or not and his eyes will respond to it . Put a man in a place with no light for long enough and he will suffer . We were created for the light .
Did not God command the light to shine in the darkness ? Even of our own hearts ? Fir by nature we are " children of disobedience " children of wrath" which is why we MUST be BORN again not of that corruptible seed but if the incorruptible seed which is the Word of God":
The entrance of Thy Word bringeth light".
Then God begins to Work .
" But this is the condemnation said Jesus ."The light has come but men love darkness more than the light ".
To love your sin more than righteousness is ruin . All have sinned that is not so much the problem but rather it is the will.
God is not willing that any should perish." But that is His will.
Thank you dear Father in Heaven. You who see all things and know all our needs. You give what we need at the right time. Hallelujah Amen. Your creation Lord God was so beautiful that You pleased it. Like for "Faith joshua". Genesis 1:27-30 Thank You for all the blessings You have given him. We remind You of this word and You will provide for him and his family, Amen in Jesus Christ's name according to the will of God the Father, Amen
by the power that resurrected from the dead I decree and declare light in your situations where there is darkness( genesis 1:3, Malachi 4:2, life where there is death( Ezekiel 37)
"I can sense your desire to uphold the integrity of Scripture. I think these questions deserve biblical answers, not merely a caution against asking them. Even faithful believers struggle with such questions, especially when raised by others in evangelistic or teaching contexts. These weren't abstract inquiries, but they were rooted in sincere biblical curiosity, some even raised to me by others, including fellow believers and even a preacher I know. So, I'm content with partial understanding, but not avoidance.
I do understand the importance of having a strong foundation of belief. That said, I was hoping for direct engagement with the questions I raised, particularly about the census tax in Exodus, the possibility of other intelligent life, the historical discussion about King James, and (Why) the understanding of the Trinity by Jews vs Christians. Revisiting those specifically would be reasonable.
And for Jews not understanding Genesis 1:1, "Elohim" is plural, but Hebrew often uses plural forms (called plural of majesty) to refer to a single being especially for God without implying multiple persons. Jews were monotheistic as to how God revealed to them. To them, God was one as declared in Deuteronomy 6:4: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."
They would not read Trinitarian theology into the text because that concept had not yet been fully revealed to them by God. And about Revelation and Genesis those books weren't even available to OT Jews. There was only verbal historicity passed down through stories. And Divine encounter.
So applying them retroactively to their context doesn't quite work. Their faith was based on what God had revealed at that time, not on later texts. Considering that the Trinity is a revealed doctrine through Christ, How could one expect the Jews to understand the Trinity ( Genesis 1:1) if God hadn't revealed it to them. Just like Saul didn't understand until it he had divine encounter. So who caused this confusion?"
Hello all dear friends, remember that we believers are guilty of loving one another. So I love you all and pray for you all daily. No need for thanks, because Jesus should have the thanks and the glory. He is the resurrection and the life, He Is.
Thought and reminded you of the confusion about Adam has become. But since there is a resistance in this topic. From Genesis 1:27-28 And Hallelujah Praise be to the Lord who is in Truth the Light, in Righteousness and the Resurrection and the Life. Now it is not necessary to say anything against it. Here the Scripture is clearly marked because here it is written in the plural! In first chapter of the Bible, everything comes from. It is the church in the world who have simply changed history, not me nor others who have seen this. And how small we humans are who can't see the whole picture from the first chapter. It's tragic that we have narrowed our vision. And just as our adversary wants us to do, we do it. But God be thanked for all things in the holy name of My Lord Jesus Christ. Love u all
Thank you for reading our responses to you Keygbo and please remember we can only offer comment to what the Scriptures say & how we understand them. So even with Genesis 1:26,27, there will be different opinions based on our reading & understanding.
We note that in these verses, God speaks of "our likeness" and then in v27, "his own image". And we remember the Apostle John in John chap 1, wrote of God's Word being a vital aspect of His Character & that He gave flesh & mortality to His Word, being Jesus, His Christ given as our Sacrifice.
When I read these verses together (and others), I understand that in these Genesis references, God is speaking of His whole Being involved in His creative Work of both humans & everything else in this world & the universe. What I mean is that God, the One & only God, involved Himself completely in creation; He spoke things into existence (His Word - that Word which would one day millennia ahead become Jesus), and God's Spirit sent forth to perform those works (whether in creation or placing that Holy Seed in Mary, or even changing lives of those who would believe).
So, I do see in Genesis 1:26,27, that the Triune God (the Father God, His Word & His Spirit - all One) is revealed to us, and mankind was blessed with His Image: His Word & Spirit also working constantly in them. But man's fall into disobedience & sin changed all that and we needed a Savior to redeem us & God's Spirit to renew us & help us live holy & acceptable lives in a sinful & corrupt world. Such is the Mercy and Love of God for us. GBU.
I don't understand Bennymkje. Are you asking if I made that statement with an earlier comment from you in mind? Or, because of someone else's comment?
I was just expressing my view on this question to the original poster, that the Bible doesn't speak of any other human creation aside from the two first people revealed in Genesis 1:27. And Genesis 3:20 adds to confirm this, "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the MOTHER OF ALL LIVING". There were two points I was making: that Adam & Eve were the first humans of God's Creation and their lineage only is given in the Bible without any reference to any other non-Adamic-derived humans. Therefore, Cain would have married within his near or extended family as others did in that era. If someone chose to believe that two races were in existence at that time, then their belief is without any biblical warrant and problems of sin and salvation arise as well.
But I did find your comment to me on this, and I quote it: "Does it? (referencing my comment against another race of people). God framed the worlds by the word of God and the Spirit is not giving us a treatise in ethnography but of faith, the one language and one speech. God planted the garden and set man and woman as representational examples so with one man's fall sin enters into the world etc. It is neither on earth or in heaven as literal minds would make of it. So man after the fall chooses according to their free will. In the story of Noah we have the dove coming with an olive leaf plukt of and nations populating the new earth and these are to be understood as the Spirit has stated it. Where faith is the one speech and one language either we believe the word as inerrant. This is merely my understanding of the Bible. We explain the spiritual with spiritual passages." (End of your comment to me). That's all I have as your response and found that your answer did not address my comments, rather you took it into another direction.
'but the view for a second human creation, aside from Genesis 1:27, should be rejected as something not given in the Bible" where did you get this idea, certainly not from comment I trust?
Thank you Gigi for sharing further on this important matter. How careful we need to be in handling God's Word & then in disseminating it to others ( James 3:1, where 'masters' = 'teachers, instructors'). Of course, we can only do the best we can with what knowledge & clarity the Spirit has blessed us with, but remaining especially guarded when sharing that with others.
I think of the recent question about Cain and from where he found his wife. I had to be clear that the answer was not found in the Bible, rather my belief from what the Word has given to us about that era, the people named & their migration. And this means my answer can certainly be open to other possibilities, but the view for a second human creation, aside from Genesis 1:27, should be rejected as something not given in the Bible; thus much care must given when thinking of promoting that theory, or anything that is not clearly founded and seen from the Word. Blessings.
Thank you for your response Bennymkje. If I might refer to it now.
From what I gather concerning Adam & Eve & the garden, you do believe these people existed, but the garden "is a spiritual place" and "is a snapshot illustrating the fellowship of God with Man". I could understand the garden being that common ground where God & man fellowshipped, though I would probably use Genesis 1:28,29 and Genesis 2:15-19 where God speaks to Adam as a more realistic account & example of their fellowship together. And so this would make Eden not some sort of spiritual place but a literal place where these people walked & fellowshipped. But if the real meaning of it is a spiritual place (as you infer), then I ask myself, 'how has this knowledge helped me understand what I'm reading and is it beneficial in some way?'
To Revelation chap 7: 144,000. "Which is more nonsensical than believing 144,000 as a specific number than allowing the 144 as a symbol to explain the believer who is blessed with all spiritual blessings in heaven and on earth?" Does the fact that verses 5 to 8 clearly specify the composition of this great number have any bearing on what you believe as the believer being blessed with all spiritual blessings? This is probably a prime example of how we read the Scriptures. So when reading this from you, the questions that arise are: why is 144 a symbol to explain the believer's spiritual blessings? Where in the Scriptures can we find support in such a manner for this number? How then do you interpret verses 5 to 8 describing the 12,000 numbered & sealed from the 12 tribes of Israel? Knowing that you have disconnected the physical Israel from any future fulfilment of prophecy, the 12,000 from the 12 tribes would then represent whom? Sorry to make this long, but wanted to find out how you arrive at such interpretations when the Bible is so specific in its narrative and any departure from it could very well lead us into error.
The account in Genesis 1:1 is the creation of heaven and earth . The spiritual and earthly or seen and unseen . Genesis 1:2 is not about that heaven in Genesis 1 for that heaven needs no sun or moon for God is the light of it .
But rather Gen 1:2 is about the re creation of the earth and everything that follows is almost exclusively about the earth expecially chapters 1 and 2.
Thus we have a ' heaven ' betwixt the waters above and the waters below . It is not a " sound" it was created as was everything by his Word ( Jesus Christ) John 1 . For there is nothing made that was made visible and invisible that was not made by Him. The Word .
Then we have another ' heaven' of the 'earth' " He made the stars also " thus we have two heavens that is earthy and one where Gods throne is .
I think you are over complicating things and missing the simplicity of dcrioture. That is the creation . Of heaven and earth and the heavens that came later after verse 2 .
Some translations have pluralised verse 1 and made that heavenS this is quite wrong .
For God is a zGod of order and that order is clearly laid out first in gen 1:1 then all that follows concerning the earth in gen 1:2 onwards .
While you are right about the errors of some we must also be sure we do not also fall into error ourselves and nor can we justify our own errors if any by our perceptions of another's .
to get the red Scripture callouts which show that particular verse so when hovering over it with the cursor it opens that particular verse, just type the verse as shown in the example below.
" John 1:1 " or " Genesis 1:1 " ect.
Type it the way you see it in the red, misspelled or written out it won't highlight red.
God bless for your sharpness - that's exactly what your writings have conveyed to me!
I've been studying your teachings by writing them down on paper and also noting my own insights in my Bible as I read. That's why I wanted to ask: would it be alright if I "keep" your texts for my personal study? They've been truly valuable to me.
I was actually in Judges 14, reflecting on Samson's seven-day wedding feast, and your words made so much sense. As you said, "for this purpose, the Word or the Law establishes seven days" - from Genesis 1:3 to Genesis 2:1-3.
Hello T-rex. This verse, as all other portions of Scripture, are translated given which manuscript texts are used, the quality of the translators & their work, and the era in which the work was done (i.e. how original words were understood in the language of the day). It probably needs to be stated, that Isaiah 45:7 reference to "evil", is not a direct reference to the sin in the heart, rather to the effects of sin as we live in a fallen state & in a fallen world. The Hebrew word given for 'evil' is 'ra', which is variously interpreted as, 'evil, bad, wicked, harmful, unpleasant', which then gives rise to other Bible translations using words such as, 'disaster, calamity, sorrow, etc'. So when we understand that 'evil' here is not a reference to God creating sin or desiring mankind to be sinners & living under that state & always under condemnation, rather that sin & its effects upon His creation must be the result when mankind chooses to disobey God & live a life of estrangement from Him, desiring to fulfil their lusts.
So, when we re-look at Isaiah 45:7, we see that God has directed Isaiah to record that 'He (God) forms (or creates: another Hebrew word used for 'create') the light; and He (God) also creates darkness'. If He creates light (as we are told in Genesis 1:3-5), and He "divides the light from the darkness", then we understand that darkness was the default situation & God chose to shine light into that darkness to dispel it. If He takes away that light, we return back to darkness.
Likewise, since the fall in Eden, sin has become the default over mankind's condition, indeed affecting all of creation. We became enemies of God, yet the God of Love & Mercy has prevailed to bring about "peace through the blood of the cross" ( Colossians 1:20) & even before that, to instil peace by His Mercy & right living for Israel. But if that peace is taken away, in performance of His Will, what is left? Evil is created: sin's default - no peace with God or man.
Hello sir, from your words it sounds like you already decided what you believe before you look into it. You say interpreters added their own thoughts in italics and I wonder where does such an assumption come from? Sometimes articles like "the" or "a" are needed to complete the translation and they indicate that with brackets or italics. The fact that its being presented in the first place shows more transparency. Other Bibles don't indicate that. There is no word-for-word language translation, you end up missing words and would be incomplete and grammatically incorrect sentences. You can even do a Google Translate of basic words and you might input 4 words and get 3 words back, or vice versa. It doesn't mean there's a grand conspiracy to deceive you and it doesn't mean the devil is behind it. I would suggest studying any foreign language and you will learn more about how translations occur. I looked at the FAQ and saw this below. You can see in the examples "that" was used to complete the translation which is just following English rules, or "it was". I don't think the devil is behind a big conspiracy to make it grammatically correct and clear to readers. The fact that the translators were this transparent shows how careful and forthcoming they were. Also, all of this can be checked anytime against the original Greek/Hebrew so its not like anyone is able to get away with sneaking extra words in.
Q: What do the words in italics or [brackets] mean?
A: These are words the translators added from the Hebrew and Greek to make the English complete. It is also seen in italics in some Bibles.
Examples:

The most controversial word in the Bible is , " dispensation " and it's mentioned in the Bible four times by Apostle Paul.
The best meaning of " dispensation " is ... In the Bible, dispensation refers toa period of time when God governs the world in a particular way or Dispensationalismis a method of interpreting history that divides God's work and purposes toward mankind into different periods of time. Usually, there are seven dispensations identified.
The first dispensation is called theDispensation of Innocence( Genesis 1:28-30and2:15-17).
The second dispensation is called theDispensation of Conscience, and it lasted about 1,656 years from the time of Adam and Eve's eviction from the garden until the flood ( Genesis 3:8-8:22).
The third dispensation is the Dispensation ofHuman Government, which began inGenesis 8.
The fourth dispensation, called theDispensation of Promise, started with the call of Abraham. During this dispensation God developed a great nation that He had chosen as His people ( Genesis 12:1-Exodus 19:25).
The fifth dispensation is called theDispensation of Law. It lasted almost 1,500 years, from the Exodus until it was suspended after Jesus Christ's death. That's why the four gospels are a extention of the Old Testament. The Mosaic Covenant, or the Law, found inExodus 19-23.
I know when we hear heaven we think of where God is but there are three. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands, Psalm 19:1. The first heaven is the sky, the atmosphere the air we breathe, and where the clouds float so beautifully.
The second heaven is the galaxy where God placed the lights in heaven for signs and seasons, as we see in Genesis 1:14-19. The place of the sun moon and all the planets and stars we call space.
The third is where God and all the angelic beings are. This is the heaven we see King Uzziah saw in Isaiah 6:1, which Stephen saw when they stoned him in Acts 7:55-56, Paul spoke of in 2 Corinthians 12:2-4, and we see all that John saw in Revelation.
Thanks for the insightful input. In conclusion, God love for mankind is absolutely immeasurable.

God loves all his creation of mankind, but for those with a reprobate mind and chose to live in sin intentionally and refuses to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ and never will, (worker of iniquity) God hates... unless they sincerely turn from evil and try to live a life to follow Christ according to the biblical texts "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." Psalms 51:10).
God love is present regardless, because God is love, but His love for mankind is welcomed with open arms if we choose Him:
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." John 4:7-9.
Thanks for the insightful input. In conclusion, God love for mankind is absolutely immeasurable.

After He created everything, He created humans to maintain them
Thank you, my fellow brother and sister.

I hope this helps.
God bless,

See part 2.
Blessings.
Love u all
We note that in these verses, God speaks of "our likeness" and then in v27, "his own image".
GBU.
I think of the recent question about Cain and from where he found his wife. I had to be clear that the answer was not found in the Bible, rather my belief from what the Word has given to us about that era, the people named & their migration. And this means my answer can certainly be open to other possibilities, but the view for a second human creation, aside from Genesis 1:27, should be rejected as something not given in the Bible; thus much care must given when thinking of promoting that theory, or anything that is not clearly founded and seen from the Word. Blessings.

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Blessings
May God in Jesus name give us understanding. Amen!

God does things in three's .
The first is the earth was made void.
Genesis 1:2
And theearthwas without form, andvoid; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
The second was Noah's food.
Genesis 6:17
And, behold, I, even I, do bring afloodof waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
The third is the church age and the Rapture inwhich was revealed to Apostle Paul in a revelation and we are living in it right now.
Jesus stop reading in the middle of the verse. Did Jesus Christ keep the third Gap Theory a secret ?
Luke 4:18-19
18 The Spirit of the Lordisupon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Note: Jesus was reading Isaiah 61:1-2 , but stop in the middle of chapter 2. Jesus knew the Church of Grace was going to begin.
What Jesus said that day was important in describing the times in which he ministered, but he closed the book before he finished the sentence in Isaiah.
Equally important as what he read before he sat down, was what he purposely did not read all of the verses
The sentence inIsaiah 61:2continues:
"and the day of vengeance of our God" - Isaiah 61:2
Why did Jesus Christ keep the resurrection a secret from the Twelve Disiples ? ? ?
Mark 9:9-10
9And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
10And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

During this dispensation God developed a great nation that He had chosen as His people ( Genesis 12:1- Exodus 19:25).
Ray, in Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
I hope this helps,

Thanks for the insightful input. In conclusion, God love for mankind is absolutely immeasurable.
1st precept:"Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into." 1 Peter
1:12. 2nd precept: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 1:27

1:12. 2nd precept: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 1:27
