A beam was used to hold up a ship. The wider the beam the more stable it was. I am inclined to believe that pride is a beam because it can have you lifted so high up where you think that your better than everyone else. It 's deceitful because when its in the eye of your understanding it can and will blind you from seeing the truth. "It 's the water of the Holy Spirit holding you up and not the beam. " Remember when Jesus was in the boat and the storm was raging. The disciples were scared but because they had Jesus he spoke to the wind and said peace be still and it became still! A beam wont protect you in a storm of Satanic doubt and unbelief but the Word of God will. You will find God 's word when you rest in the spirit of God continually. His spirit will keep you from pride because pride forms judgment and pride comes before a great fall! SHIPWRECK FAITH

You can take things, especially scripture, out of context and think you know what something means before considering the setting, or without reading the chapter.. that will give you context. It always comes back to the same thing that people ignore. We all behave differently. This 'judge not ' is meant to be a warning not to be prejudiced towards others because of racial or cultural or even personal differences in the way others behave. In other words it is wrong to judge other 's behavior based on your own standards. This scripture applies to other 's behavior or lifestyle, and not someone 's harm to another.

I had a family of filthy pigs , who abused their children both violently, and sexually. I was very upset to see my church deliver a large basket of food to them. Was I wrong?

Jesus is teaching his deciples and us not to judge without being able to look at our own lives. sometimes we hypocritically want to judge others with one measuring stick and use quite another for ourselves and our friends. He didnt say not to get the mote out of your neighbor eye just make sure your sight is clear of something larger than the mote, sometimes we avoid correcting people or telling them the truth because we have done something in the pass. But this tells us get the beam out sothat we can help our brother remove the mote

Jesus Is teaching us that there will be those false prophets who will come to deceive the children of God by their false prophecy ,so as children of God we have to be aware of that kind of people ,by listening to the spirit of God ,
  • CHRISTHU DOSS on Matthew 7:5 - 11 years ago
It keeps me away from judging others.
  • MockingBird on Matthew 7:15 - 11 years ago
The devil is transformed into an angel of light. I believe that God gave of His Holy Spirit to be able to discern who or what is a false prophet. You will know them by their works. Never accept anyone on a first impression. If it were possible could deceive even the very elect. Penny I have thought that Obama is the for runner of the false prophet The word teaches that the false prophet will not show himself till the church is taken out. 2 Thessalonians 2 I am planning on not to be here when that happens with my Lord 's help.

Ask if you have notice that the Lord could have put the words ask, seek, and knock in order but God is so wise that He put it this way so we can see that we have to ask take the first letter off all three words in the order God put them in we have to Ask and is shall be given.

God recently showed me in the spirit many dry and dusty roads that curve that lead to death and destruction. But the God showed me this straight road that leads to life.I have been battling my will over Gods and he has made it very clear I need to choose his will over mine by showing me the joy of doing his will verses the emptyness and ultimatley death of doing mine.

  • MockingBird on Matthew 7:12 - 11 years ago
How I want to be treated is how I should treat others . I am not to expect from those to return the same unto me . God will repay me in the way that He sees fit. I will get a return but not as I think I should get the return for the good I do. Now if I want to be treated in a bad way all I have to do is treat others in a bad way. I most assuredly will get a return on that also . God will return to me all that I dish out !!! I am to Love others as I want to be loved and I love me very much to be honest !!!

To Joshua Math chapter 7 verse 14 remark we are saved by the Grace see John chapter 1 verse 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
  • Joshua mbugua on Matthew 7:14 - 11 years ago
the fact that Jesus died on the cross does not exempt us from the law. There cannever be freedom without law even Adam had been given law in the Eden. Hebrew says that bcause of change of priesthood it was necessary for the law to be change. It was changed to produce greater holiness than the one produced by the law of Moses.
  • JaySun on Matthew 7:1 - 11 years ago
"Judge not, lest ye be judged. " Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Be careful what you think and feel and project outward into the world from what is inside your thoughts, heart and mind because the world will become that in which you desire most. As human beings, our power is immense, limitless and all pervading just as the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit 's. Our compassionate brother Jesus Christ forewarned us of what we keep in our hearts and minds and the assessments and judgements we make about our life and the lives of others for our world around will become a direct reflection and manifestation of those judgements that we keep in our hearts and minds. Judge not lest ye be judged, except for Jesus...he can judge though right? Now why would Jesus warn us "judge not lest ye be judged, " if he himself was and is judging us by all of our thoughts, feeling and actions? It would be quite hypocritical for our Lord and Savior to be not practicing what he preached. Feel the words, try not to interpret them. Feel the Love, not analyze the hate.

What ever u ask u need believe and. Have. Faith that is. Done before. Seeing it and what ever u seek u shall find. If u are right with God cause he knows our heart and when u knock. The door shall be opened because. He is the only one who can open doors that are closed in our life
