However, when Jesus was resurrected in His glorified body, He defeated and triumphed over death and the grave, Satan, and all principalities and powers. Colossians 2:15 describes how Jesus openly made a spectacle of them. I believe this was part of the celebration of the victory when Jesus, through the Spirit, went to the angels chained in darkness, made a spectacle of them, showing that He had triumphed over them and that they are eternally defeated.
I wonder if they bowed a knee to Him then or will have to in the Great Day, as said in Philippians 2:10, "things/those under the earth".
I will leave it here. I understand some may not agree, but this is my understanding of this. May our study be for the truth.
God bless,

Chastening vs. wrath
Song of Solomon 8:6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
This poetic passage defines; more or less human love and it's capacity to maintain a grip that overwhelmes the soul. We know that our God is a jealous God; therefore He is committed to sealing us until the day of redemption ( Eph. 4:30). Jesus went to the cross; and purchased us with His precious blood ( 1 Peter 1:19). This process; of course keeps us from the depths of hell but also holds us fast in cords of love ( Hosea 11:4).
His own hear His voice ( John 10:27). It is a very simple methodology for determining who are His children and who are not. Anyone that tells you we are all His children clearly hasn't read 1 John. Those passages show that our actions demonstrate our motives and loving our brothers and sisters in the Lord is a major factor. A more basic thing is this; unregenerate man hates God; while the love of Christ is demonstrated in our souls and we can't help the fact or contain the truth of His presence if the Spirit dwells within. There are seasons of rebellion and other things that cause sin and grieve the Spirit but if He isn't living in us then all we can do is regret the consequences of our sin; we can't truly love God. This explains men replacing all sorts of things for the love of God; idols; sensuality; materialism; and perhaps most dangerous humanism. This concept of all man being basically good is the result of the evil fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We deem unfair God's wrath and judgment yet know that we are guilty and stand condemned before a Holy and righteous judge and king.
There's a lot to unpack here. Basically though sanctification is present with all true believers; the painful process of weeding out all that remains of our old self.
Do they end up in Hell, experiencing eternal torment? Would you like to know with a yes or no response and an explanation?
"If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:"
Isaiah 58:14
"Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:"
Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.
Romans 10:12
"For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him."

Thanks again for your feedback, however I must address the thought that Peter and Paul preached the same message.
That would be like trying to mix oil and water.
PETER'S MESSAGE: FAITH + WORKS UNDER THE LAW
Primarily to Israel ( Matthew 10:5-6; Galatians 2:7-9)
Before and during early Acts (esp. Acts 2-3)
Grounded in prophecy and covenant promises
Supporting Scriptures:
Acts 2:38 - "Repent, and be baptizedfor the remission of sins"
Acts 3:19 - "Repentthat your sins may be blotted outwhen the times of refreshing shall come"
Matthew 19:17 - "If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
James 2:24 - "By works a man is justified, and not by faith only." (Written to the twelve tribes, James 1:1)
PAUL'S MESSAGE: SALVATION BY GRACE ALONE, WITHOUT WORKS
Sent to the Gentiles and all men ( Romans 11:13; Acts 26:17-18)
Begins mid-Acts ( Acts 9 conversion; commission in Acts 13)
Based on the revelation of the mystery ( Romans 16:25; Ephesians 3:1-9)
Supporting Scriptures:
Ephesians 2:8-9 - "By grace are ye saved through faithnot of works"
Titus 3:5 - "Not by works of righteousness which we have done"
Romans 3:28 - "A man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."
Galatians 2:16 - "A man is not justified by the works of the law"
Final Note (Rightly Dividing View):
Peter preached what God had revealed since the world began ( Acts 3:21), rooted in prophecy.
Paul preached what was kept secret since the world began ( Romans 16:25), revealed through the mystery.
Transition period in Acts explains overlapping elements, but Paul's gospel of grace fully replaces works-based requirements for salvation in the present dispensation.
thanks again, God Bless!
And thank you also for responding! It is a blessing to have communication with other believers and get insight that I need... And yes your friends situation is definitely sad and unfortunate also with his marriage.. I do believe that people can become sooo fixated on something that they act insane over it. As you know also. My Husband is a great man, loves the Lord a great provider, but he definitely becomes a dog with a bone about certain things and he goes overboard like he has to prove he is right. And it is overwhelming. Before I was pregnant not a problem I didn't like the stress but I could handle it better, now I have a precious gift inside of me and I can't think of myself so my focus has switched to our child... We do not have a home Church as of now, our area is very limited on what is available in the sense of Biblical churches. So please keep that in we both want to be in Church but can't figure out where to go in our situation. We used to be very involved in evangelism, passing out tracks in Rochester Buffalo, attend all sorts of Fellowships then COVID happened the churches shut down so we opened our home and we had people here twice a week great Fellowships lots of food and then churches opened back up people moved on seasons change and we have tried a few different Churches but they were either way to legalistic or extremely Calvinist. My Husband is not open to counseling, I have suggested that, so I don't know I just try to make the best of everyday...
My question was do such people end up in eternal hell of torment? Not if God knows them or not, nor what we should do.
If an unrepentant believer (I refer to him as a believer because he knows what Christ had done for us & continues to preach and maintain a leadership position.), despite knowing that, he continues to live in serious sin without repentance, would they not end up in eternal torment, even after we correct them, & God disciplines them?
What is the difference between such a believer who is unrepentant & an imposter as you claim, both of whom live and continue in unrepentant sin (rape, sexual exploitation, murder, causing conflicts, managing laws, people under their leadership with influence and money etc.) , even after God disciplines them, and only pretend to repent at old age pretending, while continuing in ministry or leadership work, but still continue in those sins (sexual exploitation, deceit etc)and die?
I'm asking specifically about the FATE of such both the "imposter" and the unrepentant believer(if they fall into that category) who die without a change of heart even after God's correction, only pretending to be faithful & repentant still commit those sins, while preaching the word of God in leadership role. I'm asking Where do they end up? Do they end up in eternal torment & suffering of hell (The blazing furnace. The lake of fire) for all the devastation they caused on people's life.
If they don't end up in such hell of torment, how is God's Judgement impartial, fair and unbiased in such case?
I'm not asking what we must do or If and what God Does to discipline them. I'm asking what happens to such people, shouldn't they end up in hell of suffering too, held accountable, as they sin had greater effect on lives? If not, isn't that unfair. & unjust? I hope you understand now. Please give a direct answer to this.
But we should pray that the Father of Lights sees from on high. Dear Father in Heaven. We pray that it is Your will, Lord our God. Hears our humble prayer for help to save our brother from the darkness he has become entangled in. Preserve the brother's heart, O Lord, so that it will be preserved. We humbly ask that You allow him to return to Your house, reveal his sin to You Jesus, let him confess his sin to the Lord Jesus and he will forever, so he will be free forever, Amen. He will rejoice greatly in the Lord Jesus, he will praise You the King of Kings. He will love You and Your community. We apologize for his actions, without thinking about whether it is idolatry or selfishness. We thank Father in Heaven that You understand all things. You see all things and know that people are straying from Your truth, they have come in to darkness. We need Your justice. We ask for forgiveness Lord! We ask for Grace Father, Amen in Jesus Name, the name above all other names, Jesus Christ.
The above is what sinful man's response is to the Gospel & the Holy Spirit's change that has happened internally & will exhibit externally as the Spirit is allowed to work in that redeemed life. However, your question is about the "unrepentant believer" continuing in unabated sin. Are we in a position to know whether that unrepentant believer is even a believer? As the apostle did, so we must do also: share the Gospel with them, show God's requirements, give God's warnings, teach and encourage from the Bible, nurture and help. Where sin was rampant in a person's life, where false teaching was brought in to distort the Truth, where believers are led towards sin instead of godliness, and the works of Satan are seen in the person rather than the works of the Holy Spirit which leads to brokenness, repentance & change, then that person is an imposter & to be identified as such & consigned to the world of darkness (as the apostles did).
But a true believer is sealed & adopted into the family of God & he will know when he strays or plays with sin by the Spirit speaking within him. If he resists the Spirit's warning & encouragement, then punishment, even death ensues, so "that the spirit might be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus" ( 1 Corinthians 5:5). I don't believe that any true believer will enter the Lake of Fire; if God sends him there, it is accepted that they were unbelievers without a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led life on Earth - just imposters defaming the LORD's Name & leading His people astray.
Yes, i got some reasonable answers for a few questions.
I agree. Speculation doesn't equate to truth, and the absence of evidence isn't automatically proof of something's nonexistence. Lack of proof simply means we don't know for sure.
And that's a good point. Lack of Scriptural evidence doesn't mean extraterrestrial life isn't possible, but we can't be certain without proof. The idea of God creating beings beyond Earth is interesting, but the vast distances make it hard to imagine how they could reach us without divine help. In the end, whether these beings are spiritual, physical, or something else is all speculation. We just don't have enough to know for sure. I'm more keen on knowing the response for my other questions. Such as (Accountability After Being Saved). And appreciate your insight.
(Accountability After Being Saved)
Someone I know shared a real-life experience that left them deeply troubled and asked me. Honestly, I'm not sure about the answer.
So, hence posted it here. I understand 2 Tim 2:19.
But, I still don't get what happens to them, where they would end-up?
Would an unrepentant believer, of continued serious sins (as mentioned above), till death, end up in eternal torment & suffering of hell (The blazing furnace. The lake of fire), as those actions caused life long devastation, if not, how is that justice? Shouldn't such hell be reserved for such people too, rather than just losing "rewards"?
I just wanted to state that your husband's condition (in respect to his pressing you to conform to his belief), is not uncommon. A friend of mine (& not a believer), also presents such a condition (or personality). He can be very focussed, compulsive, even to the point of harboring rage over a matter that he believes in, when that matter is not being favorably considered by others. Simply, this is about what he has learned about maintaining smooth traffic flow at road intersections, using roundabouts. He is correct in that they do greatly help and do lower accident rates, but his fixation on this has so consumed his time & energies, that for more than ten years now, he has directed mail to the same govt authorities over and over again. I've tried to calm him down, even stating that after a few emails on the matter, most of these authorities would simply see his name and trash the mail, not wanting to waste their time with this constant repetition and barrage. But he remains unmoved.
This friend does have a psychological disorder, and unfortunately, has caused the complete breakdown of his marriage (on other issues). When he gets into such a state with me, I've learned to bear with him & respond appropriately until he lets the matter go. But within such a special relationship as a marriage, I know that it must be so painful with a sense of hopelessness, when real love still exists between the couple. Does your husband recognize he has a problem & prepared to go for counseling? His (or your) Church elder/pastor should be more than willing to mediate/guide to a proper approach to theological differences. Those having ADHD or OCD typically reflect such behaviors; is he willing to be helped in this regard? Please keep the matter in prayer, as well as stay calm & oblige him so that your health & the baby are not placed at risk.
This is such a reassurance knowing Jesus is closer to us than a friend. The Father draws us to Jesus because Jesus chose us to be in Him before the creation of the world. And Jesus says that no one can snatch us out of His hand. So know that God will keep you in Jesus. Trust God in this just as you trust Him to have called you to believe and has equipped you with faith to believe and so His will is done in you. You are Jesus' forever and He has set His love upon you since before creation to be forever saved, justified, adopted as a child of God, sanctified in the Holy Spirit and glorified with Jesus in the place He has prepared for you to dwell with Him forever.
Addiction is so brutal and it offend leads to such despondency as he is encountering. May God deliver him swiftly and keep him from relapsing. In the mean time, O LORD, comfort Philip and send people to him who can help him and especially speak Your words of Life in Christ to him.
?!
Thanks for the response...
I find the entire 2nd chapter of Acts an indictment of the Jews for murdering their Messiah not a how to be saved to the body of Christ. But a (repent) change your mind message to the Jews.
To whom was Peter addressing?
The audience in Acts chapter 2 (KJV) was primarily devout Jews from many different nations who had come to Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost (also known as the Feast of Weeks), a major Jewish pilgrimage festival.
Acts 2:5 (KJV)
"And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven."
These were Jews and proselytes (Gentile converts to Judaism) who had come from all over the Roman world to Jerusalem.
The phrase "out of every nation under heaven" emphasizes the international diversity of the crowd.
List of Nations Present ( Acts 2:9-11, KJV):
"Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
Cretes and Arabians..."
This shows that the audience included Jews from:
The Middle East (e.g., Mesopotamia, Judea)
Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey)
North Africa (e.g., Egypt, Libya)
Europe (e.g., Rome)
Arabian regions
The audience in Acts 2 was...
Primarily Jewish (including native Jews and Gentile converts to Judaism)
Multinational, gathered in Jerusalem for the Jewish feast of Pentecost
Devout and religiously observant, as they had made the pilgrimage to Jerusalem
This context is crucial to understanding Peter's message in Acts 2, especially verse 36, where he says:
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly..."
He was specifically addressing Israel-the Jewish people, not Gentiles.
Part 2
I do not for sure that we will come to know the truth of whether God has created other physical beings elsewhere in the universe in our afterlife and/or after Jesus returns and the re-creation of the earth and all that is the cosmos. I can wait till then to find out. I think we will be so amazed at what we will come to know when we are glorified. God's greatness, power, creative plan for the entire universe will become known to us as well as coming to know angels and other spiritual beings who remain sinless and holy by the decree and power of God in keeping them this way. There are myriads of such spiritual beings. And there is most likely a wide variety of them like the "wheels with the wheels" Ezekiel saw. (They definitely are alive).
We live in an age where science fiction has imagined so many possibilities that influence our generations alive today and contribute to our fascination and wondering about the possibility of other types of beings elsewhere in the universe. But we do need to be cautious of getting pulled away from what Scripture reveals by the draw of speculation to where we spend too much time and energy exploring what God has not revealed to us.
Scripture is written for and given to humans that we may know God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, God determined it wise not to reveal all things about the universe or the spiritual realm to us while we are in this life. And so, we must be content with this because God determined this for our good. Personally, I do not favor the exploration of space because God has given mankind earth to inhabit, not Mars or the Moon or even a space station. So I think that any efforts to do this is folly.
CrossTalker, this is a good question to discuss. It is important to put all these matter in proper perspective subject to what we know is God's will in Scripture as we wait for the glorious appearing of Jesus, our God and Savior.
In reading this thread about your questions it seems that you received good answers from those who responded.
I just want to speak to your question about species of life that do not inhabit earth. We call this alien life because they are not natural inhabitants to our planet.
I agree with Chris that there is not Scriptural evidence that such exist. Lack of Scriptural evidence does not mean that such may not exists. There is so much we do not know of what God has done because He has not revealed all to us in Scripture.
However, we have learned so much about scientifically that is not mentioned in Scripture, such as atoms, other galaxies, atomic energy, genomes, and medical knowledge that treats diseases. These things truly exist and God has allowed us to discover these in the time He has appointed for us to come to know such things. When we consider all that has been discovered or invented in the past 100 years are present life would amaze even those who lived 200 years ago!
But when it comes to extra-terrestial beings, we can only speculate. Some think that such beings are demonic or angelic, which may be true. some think that they may be humans from the future traveling back in time. This idea we could only prove if we are able to encounter and converse with them. Others think that indeed we are being visited by beings from other galaxies. But again we cannot know if this is true or not.
So, all of this is speculation and must understand that we have no proof of the existence of such being, with the exception of spiritual beings that inhabit the spiritual realm such as angels, demons, princes, powers and principalities.
For me, I think it is very possible that God has created beings that inhabit areas across the universe. But if they are not spiritual beings, I do not think any physical being could travel those great distances to our planet unless God has granted them either eternal life or an extremely long life span.
See part 2
I do understand the importance of having a strong foundation of belief. That said, I was hoping for direct engagement with the questions I raised, particularly about the census tax in Exodus, the possibility of other intelligent life, the historical discussion about King James, and (Why) the understanding of the Trinity by Jews vs Christians. Revisiting those specifically would be reasonable.
And for Jews not understanding Genesis 1:1, "Elohim" is plural, but Hebrew often uses plural forms (called plural of majesty) to refer to a single being especially for God without implying multiple persons. Jews were monotheistic as to how God revealed to them. To them, God was one as declared in Deuteronomy 6:4: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one."
They would not read Trinitarian theology into the text because that concept had not yet been fully revealed to them by God. And about Revelation and Genesis those books weren't even available to OT Jews. There was only verbal historicity passed down through stories. And Divine encounter.
So applying them retroactively to their context doesn't quite work. Their faith was based on what God had revealed at that time, not on later texts. Considering that the Trinity is a revealed doctrine through Christ, How could one expect the Jews to understand the Trinity ( Genesis 1:1) if God hadn't revealed it to them. Just like Saul didn't understand until it he had divine encounter. So who caused this confusion?"
Thank you for responding also!! I value all opinions and people's time. I'm thankful for the reproof also! I ask the Lord frequently is there a purpose in all of this contention? And I do believe that it is a refining tool the LORD is using. Because GOD knows our deepest most inner parts... I desire nothing more than to have a great marriage, where things are simple and we can celebrate our Love for the LORD together, raise our child in the fear and admonition of the LORD. But like Paul I'm stuck, how do I perform. It doesn't help that we do not have a home Church. So it really just is me and him rubbing elbows all the time.... Please pray that the LORD will help me, change my heart, to be more helpful in this situation. Because it is hard to have someone do a 180 on you and go full force into in this case different doctrine. But I'm ok with it, that he has his own mind, he is just very obsessed. And that is the contention.
This terms only applies to Jesus Christ whose humanity was devolved from the Word was God. Analogy of the incorruptible seed explains the logos aspect of the Word which was with God. As such Isaiah refers to him, 'For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant.' And being born again for man is applied for the Word become flesh, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."(1 Pet.1.23) This ought to explain the inheritance of the Son covers 'the uttermost parts of the earth'. God sent his only begotten Son to the world and uttermost parts has one end on the earth and the other world unseen. These two worlds are framed by the word of God. ( Ps. 2.7-8; Heb.11.3) Gospel of John says, 'And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.'.(1.14). Inheritance of saints in light shall help us understand in what sense we need take of blessings to Abraham and other heirs of promise. In the everlasting Covenant, man was created after our image and after our likeness'. (Gen.1.28).
God sent his only begotten Son to the world.
The word of God serves like a seed. "For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear." (Mk.4.8) On the basis of the Covenant we shall see the third day provided for vegetation and the Spirit mentions the seed,-' whose seed is in itself, upon the earth'. So, we shall do well to see Jesus Christ, where 'after our likeness' so the tree of life applied to him applies equally to the trees of righteousness. Incorruptible seed created the bread from heaven which equally valid as saying the only begotten Son.
the Word becoming flesh was after the Similitude that existed in heaven. The Father Son relationship explains 'after our image' and man is called to the same relationship in his Son. The writer to the Hebrews cites this, "in all things it behoved him to be made like untohisbrethren."
