Please check back in an hour or more. Thank you for your patience!
I will pray for your brother.
May his recovery go well and his skull and brain heal properly and quickly.
I am sorry your lungs are needing medical attention in this illness but the hospital is the best place to be to get what is needed. I am thankful you were able to get there and now we shall see what the tests and exam reveals.
Some people try to wait things out at home until they get so bad they are in a life-threatening situation. I am glad God made you wise to seek help before then.
I am praying for a full recovery without further complications. So glad we are in the hands of the Lord and no one can snatch us from that place!
Thanks again for your kindness. We have had several friendly discussions over the years which I truly have appreciated. I thank you for the many things you share here with everyone.
God Bless!!!
Brother Chris,
Thank you! Yes, we are blessed to have God's word in written form. Without the Lord through His Spirit putting it on our hearts to study, and giving us that hunger, I doubt we even would. I'm reminded of a Bible a Christian brother/friend gave me several years ago, and inside of the cover, he wrote "This book will keep you from your sin, or your sin will keep you from this book." There's a whole lot of truth to that!
Every blessing to you also my brother!
GiGi,
I'm glad to hear that some of the things I have shared were helpful. It is nice to have such a place where each and every one of us can share the things we have learned, and by keeping an open mind, we also might learn from others and grow together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
May the Lord continue to bless you always!
Brother Spencer,
Thank you so much for sticking with me through this entire study. I hope you're ready for that quiz!
God Bless!!!
Aer805,
Thank you for your kind words. It is always good to pray for the lost, that the Spirit might convict them of their sin and their need for salvation so they might surrender their lives to Christ.
Blessings to you also!
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
Matthew 5:18
"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
Proverbs 7:2
"Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye."
Revelation 22:14
"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
15.8 "And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled."
(Rev.16.17-18 "And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done./And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great." It is thus the Law of the Spirit writes judgment upon the world that rejected the Covenant. The Law speaks of this world in terms of light and darkness. "And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."(Gen.1.4)
The world framed by the word of God has only single speech which is faith. (Heb.11.3) The world unseen was made to appear and it is what the announcement of the Word in 16.18 leads to. What is the first heaven and the first earth but what rejected the Covenant? " And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband./And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God." (Rev.21.2-3)
The temple is characterised by angel who receives command from the throne, indicating the divine Will of the Father shall be fulfilled by the Son. It explains "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."(Gen.1.1)
The angel who guides St John necessitates the tag, 'another', as in Rev.8.3-5 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer" " and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake."Altar, "I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,"(9.13)
Seven trumpets
Before the seventh angel sounding we have the four angels in charge of the river Euphrates."which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men./And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them."(9.15-16). What are the four horns? They angels having power over the waters, the four winds (7.1) and over the fire,"And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire."(Rev.14.18) Lastly we have four angels over the harvest (14.15-20) The Command number Four refers to Jesus Christ the Word became flesh.
The Ark of his Testament
144,000 on mount Sion make up the ark of his testament (Rev.14.1). Re.11.19 "And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
Rev.15.5-6 "And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:/And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen,
15.8 "And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels
Throne/Temple
Gen.1.1 The Heaven and the Earth refer to the throne and ttemple respectively. The Earth abides forever and we the Covenant in seven days. (Eccle.1..4.). The Decree stated in Ps.2.7 refers to the day where His Kingship and eternal priesthood i("Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek,-Ps110.4) This is explained by an angel to Apostle John.( Rev.1.1)
Throne. 'Heaven is my throne" so what kind of Temple Israelite shall make by traditions of their fathers and what the Shall by the blood of the Lamb. Ask yourself before we discuss the book further.
Re.4.1-2 " a door was opened in heaven" "and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne." 4.5 " And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices." Here the Law of the Spirit takes over and from three POV we shall consider the testimony of Jesus Christ in whom is the fulness of God.(Col.1.19)The voice-over brings the angels in sevens and it is as consistent with the significance of the whole number Seven. Seven days of the Covenant set the gospel and wrath of the Lamb for those who refuse to enter the God's rest.(Gen.2.1-3)
Gospel of the Father and Gospel of the Son is established as a New Testament. 12x12 gives the blessedness a volume. Both from heaven and from earth is promised to him and 1000 explains 'the forever' aspect of his perfect sacrifice.
Rev.7 .14 By the blood of the Lamb "These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb./ Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them." This is one group of 144,000.
Temple
The temple is characterised by angel who receives command from the throne, indicating the divine Will of the Father shall be fulfilled by the Son. It explains "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
In Romans chap 10, you can see (at the beginning of the chapter) that Paul is referring to his great desire to see many more of his countrymen come to salvation. But Israel's great downfall was that they rested on the Law, that only rigid obedience to it meant a righteous standing before God. But Paul states that Christ's coming has nullified that imposed Law of Righteousness with the Law of Faith for those who would believe in Him. And what was the Law of Faith, as opposed to the Jewish Law of Righteousness? Verses 8 to 11 gives us the answer; the Law of Faith demanded two things: by confessing (whether by testimony or when challenged) that Jesus Christ was indeed the Lord & Lord of their lives, and by believing (without doubting) that God raised Jesus from the dead.
Then in 1 Corinthians chap 15, the message is still on the Gospel, but there was a problem in the Church there. 1 Corinthians 15:12 & following verses tell us that there were some in the Church who said there was no resurrection from the dead; and Paul goes on from there on this matter, that if there's no resurrection then Christ remains buried. That is why Paul began with the Gospel (in this chapter), emphasizing that Christ died according to the Scriptures, was buried and ROSE again the third day (and this was witnessed by many).
So, in 1 Corinthians, Paul's emphasis was on the fact of the resurrection of both Christ and each one of us at the time appointed, whereas in Romans, Paul was dealing with the need of Faith & not dependence on the Law for salvation. Then your question would be answered by this: that "confession made unto salvation" was specific to Paul's message on the Law vs Faith and was not required when referencing the resurrection from the dead. GBU.
You went far and beyond what I expected and it was well appreciated by many of us for this great study material.
God bless you!
Let's hope the church can wield the sword of the Spirit and have some authority against these forces of wickedness in high places.
It helps knowing you have an enemy that constantly wants to steal; kill and destroy but I think that the concept of having any enemy is politically incorrect in today's form of Christianity we see today. Thus; we are enemies of God but more concerned about making people comfortable to draw crowds to fill a quota in America today; by and large. Once leadership downplays evil in the world then they dumb down the vigilance to stop their own hearts from being deceived. Spiritual war is a deadly serious battle and I am glad you are up for it.
I hate to see you suffer seeing what is going on but He allows these things to put our trust only in Him. I am convinced that what used to be known as "travailing in prayer" is what only a few know how to accomplish and they are rewarded for this I think I can say pretty confidently. It is easy to give up and become bitter and angry at what we see; I can say firsthand getting mad with Satan and trying to take him on is a fool's game; but we should walk in the Spirit and allow Him to bring righteous indignation. We all know; sadly things are going to get worse. Prayer can hold things back or lessen things somewhat but being realistic about the day and the hour we are in is hard to deny; for those old people like you and I.
As we warn of course we can look ahead to the glory of His coming which no doubt may anger the world. I listened to an extremely depressing video by a nonbeliever who was dreading heaven as destroying our individuality for one thing. Hearing an unrenenerate mind discuss this is extremely grievous. I'm glad for one to have you as my buddy and for your sake am glad you have a support system for yourself.

Thanks again for your message. This may come as a shock, but I am in agreement with you on everything you just said. Like you, I also believe that Christ will return once. It is known by many as the Second Coming of Christ.
Also, my understanding matches yours that there is only one Day of the Lord which is when Jesus returns. It will be a day of judgment.
About the Messiah and what the Jews believe, I have visited several Jewish websites to see what various Rabbi's had to say, and from the things you have read, and the things I've read, their descriptions of the Messiah all point to Jesus as their Messiah.
God Bless!!!
I was thinking today of the one person you originally were conversing with who insisted that the KJV was a "perfect" translation and you were wishing to show how the English translation differs from what the original Greek said and meant. She did disappear soon after you began posting on Matthew and we have not heard from her since. Today I was praying for her, as I often do. I do hope that she did hang with us for many of your posts so that she can be enlightened to know that her premise concerning the perfection of the KJV is faulty.
Most of us know that translation errors have occurred. But we do know also that God will make His word alive and active in the life of believers. He will not fail us. The truths of His word will prevail forever.
Thanks again for staying with this study to the end. Your knowledge of Greek is a skill many of us do not have, so we do need make us of how you contribute here. Thank you and may God bless you in abundance.
I feel that the LORD knows that through this great passage of time since the original writings of the Gospels & the Epistles, and with the fragments of the DSS & the various MSS that have come to us, we today are truly blessed to have His Word in our hands, even with their many variations & mistranslations. What we have been given is true & holy & the Holy Spirit is given us to help us work through all this & make the Word meaningful & applicable in our lives. After all, it is our heart's condition & longing for the LORD our Father and His Son that matters to Him & His Spirit will lead us into all Truth, even as our Savior prayed, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." May we pursue it with every fiber of our being. Every blessing brother and thanks again for this great work and commitment.
I was thinking today how we should definitely be praying for the families of the flood victims and that any who are missing but alive ca be found alive.
Here in Washington state, the search is still on for the father who killed his three lovely daughters. It has been six weeks.
My friends know the mom and also the three girls. They say that she was exemplary as a mother. Now all of her children are dead and she has lost not only these she loved dearly but her "momhood". Also, she is concerned about her ex-husband coming to get here since he is still unfound. On top of all this, many people have posted really ugly, erroneous comments about her, criticizing her for having these children with a ma who is mentally ill or being the one who was trying to push the father out of visitations or custody which led to his actions. Just terrible that people who do not know her to speak publicly these things. She is really affected by these comments, but is taking measures to protect herself from such insensitive remarks. We should be praying for her and that her ex is soon found so she can have peace.
Being in the high information age that is available without much delay leads us to being exposed to so much more that is happening worldwide that in prior times. So this fact magnifies the effect of so many catastrophic and wicked events on us who hear of these vicariously through the news.
We should use this information to be more serious about praying for those we will never know as well as those we know dearly.
Thanks for the reminder.
I will make a broad generalization here; that some planning certainly is wise for supplies as we head toward ever more perilous times; but fear shouldn't be driving us. Nonetheless, with so many situations that could easily shut down society each of us should pray about what we can do not just for ourselves but to be a blessing to others at that time. While we are wisely storing things if able it is just as important to warn everyone about the wrath of God to come. Since it will be a time worse than any before or after ( Matt. 24:21) perhaps if He comes soon someone can benefit from food and supplies and of course Bibles. It is pretty clear that once the 2nd seal starts there are supernatural events going on that cannot be avoided by natural means where a quarter of the earth perishes. No doubt much contamination occurs; perhaps as I have alluded to before with precious metals hoarded as James 5:3 states; we also see gold and silver will be cast into the streets eventually.
Ezekiel 7:19 says They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
As for now I have actually been able to do some quick transactions and purchase silver at below spot and resell; the Lord has blessed these endeavors with a limited budget. It is certainly possible for a time it will be used for transactions if money isn't available; but at the same time people have been in situations with power outages in particular where cash only is accepted. As long as we are here I don't see cash totally eliminated; although other currencies or electronic options could be another way to invest.
I praise God that He allowed me to pass out a tract entitled "Remember Lot's wife" today. I seem to have a lot of them
I thought it would be prudent to offer condolences to all those families with deceased or missing loved ones at present in Texas.
Many have discussed theories of God judging after agreements are made with dividing the land of Israel; weather being controlled; etc. No doubt it is a sign as it was in the days of Noah if we look directly to flooding as an issue greatly exacerbated these days; I have a couple from my church who went to some place in South Carolina that had the word pines in it near Myrtle beach; I pray they weren't caught in the North Carolina pines flood the other day as well if they are there yet at all.
Whether with a name like Mystic this was truly a Christian camp was another question; along with the VIP crowd there. This is not time for all that conjecture-it was revealed that there was indeed sufficient staff at the NWS at the time despite the political witch hunt on the subject.
It seems we are fortunate to even have a few days to digest the latest disaster before something else comes up. There seems to be no end to the wars going on; and here in the Philly area there was one shooting last night where 12 people were shot; several fatally and another separate one with 4 shot. That was just one night with others on other nights especially bad on the holiday weekend; and I'm sure the garbage strike isn't helping the morale there (I'm fortunate to be in the suburbs).
Anyway; let us pray for and strengthen one another. I appreciate the attitude of my friend in church who doesn't listen to the news anymore; there has to be a balance. I was thinking today about how fast the rapture will be ( 1 Cor. 15:52); BANG it will happen in a flash and a sonic boom?
God bless,
RLW
In Closing (Part 3):
I would like to end this study in prayer,
Our heavenly Father,
We give you praise and thanks. We thank you for your provision and we thank you for your faithfulness. Your word and Your Spirit are an encouragement to us all, because life can be discouraging. Life is difficult, as you know, because you sympathize with our weaknesses. But we're so thankful that you uphold us. You cause us to overcome. And you have given us a birth into a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
In spite of our difficulties we face here in this life, we have such a glorious future to look forward to. And as Paul said, it's not even a comparison to the suffering that we have here, to our eternity forever with Christ.
Lord, we pray that you would continue to use your word, and the studies that we've had together, not just the study I have presented over these past few months, but the things that each and every one of us here have to share, as an instruction, and as an encouragement to us as we finish out our pilgrimage here on earth.
We ask that you continue to minister to our hearts and minds as we fellowship together in this on-line forum. We pray that the time we spend here will not cause us to lose our focus of fellowship with your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We ask that you continue to give each of us a never-ending hunger for your word.
We thank you, and we pray these things in Jesus' name, Amen!
In Closing (Part 2):
I again want to thank everyone who has commented on these studies and given me the encouragement to see this through. To any who may have been following along but not commenting, I also thank you and hope that something I have shared may have ministered to you in some way.
I give the Lord all praise and glory. I have nothing to boast of as far as knowledge goes. I can only understand what the Lord allows me understanding because without His Spirit, the bible would be like any other textbook, just words on a page. But His word is alive to those who truly belong to Him. And it's on His time, whenever He thinks I'm ready for more.
Only He knows what I'm ready to handle. I'll mention no names, but I view some of you as being far more knowledgeable of God's word than myself and I praise God for the things He has given you to share with the rest of us and for the things I have learned from many in this forum. We all have something to share, and we are to be like the Bereans, take what we are given, and then search the scriptures to see if what is being shared is true.
Again, I thank those of you who have encouraged me to stick with this, and I give all glory to God for leading me through this and blessing me with the time to complete this study. It is my hope that the Lord will continue to draw us all to Himself, even when we feel like giving up because it's just too hard, or we're too busy, and that when we get to that point of exhaustion, that He will push us even more. We should all desire to know Him more and more each and every day through His written word. That should be our constant desire. God is faithful so may He teach us also to be faithful to Him.
In Closing (Part 1):
This is all I have to share from the book of Revelation and concludes this study of the New Testament from a Biblical Greek perspective. This is something I thought from the beginning would not take so long and I probably would have stopped back in Matthew if some of you had not have encouraged me to continue on.
This was originally intended for one person, someone who asked me to do this but dropped out early on in Matthew. My intent was to compare the New Testament of our English Bible (Specifically the KJB) with the Greek text (Textus Receptus) which was the text used by the translators. This was in no way whatsoever meant to discredit the KJB, or any other English translation, but to show some differences between the English and Greek texts, and also to show how the Greek text can be used to enhance ones understanding and give a more clear and literal meaning of what our English text is actually saying.
There is so much that we miss from our English text. English is such a general language where words can have more than one meaning. That's why I believe we have so many different denominations out there. It's because believers can't agree with each other on what our English bibles are saying, even though we might read from the same bible. Koine Greek has been said to be the most exact language there is, and I believe this is why God chose such a language. With so much doctrinal teaching in the New Testament, it had to be an exact language.
The KJB is my bible of choice, and it will remain so. But I also believe that there are other English translations out there that are also trustworthy, and we should never condemn those who choose a translation different from ours. Most of us, if not all would agree that it is God's Spirit that leads us into all truth and reveals the truth of His word to us. So, if someone chooses to study from a bible that we do not agree with, shouldn't this same concept apply?
Revelation 22:19 - And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Please notice that it doesn't say the book of the Lamb.
God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. You don't want to take away from the book of Revelation and make it be something else rather than what it is. It is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
We are given the benediction in Verses 20 and 21:
Revelation 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
Then he says the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. And again, as with all the letters, notice the word (be) in your bible is in italics. It's because it's not in the original text. It's not a wish, or a prayer. It is a statement of fact.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you all. And then the final Amen!
Thanks and God bless you.
Revelation 22:15 - For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
For without, that is, outside are dogs, and sorcerers, PHARMAKEA, meaning drug users, and whoremongers, which is PORNEA, the word pornography, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes, or does a lie.
A lot of things that we're involved with in life is dependent upon the lie. A good salesman knows how to work the lie to make it seem true. We've got to be careful!
Revelation 22:16 - I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
First of all, He is the fulfillment of the Messiah who is to come through David, as we see in 2 Samuel 7:12-16. He is the fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant.
And He says He is the bright and morning star.
It was prophesied in the Old Testament that Messiah would be as a star in Numbers 24:17. And also, when we were in 2 Peter Chapter 1 Verse 19, we also saw this where Peter alluded to Jesus as that morning star.
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
And whosoever is willing, desiring, let him take the water of life freely. It's an invitation from Christ!
Revelation 22:18 - For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
There are no more "new prophecies" after the book of Revelation. Anyone adding more is adding to the book.
I am going to push through and plan on finishing this out tonight.
Blessings!!!
Revelation 22:11 - He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
After all of this, basically John says what we said earlier. If a person is going to be corrupt, they're still going to be corrupt no matter what.
A person who has a heart for the Lord, they may be involved in sin and corruption, but when they hear the gospel, when they have a heart response to God's Spirit convicting them of their need of Christ, they'll be righteous, and they'll be holy.
So, it's basically just a statement right across the board. Whatever you're going to be is what you're going to be, corrupt, unbelieving, or righteous and holy!
Revelation 22:12 - And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
We studied this in 1 Corinthians 3:11-17, a very important piece of scripture. This is where Paul says that we will all stand before the BEMA seat of Christ. It's not the White Throne Judgment that we just read in Chapter 20. It is the BEMA seat, where our works will be tested as to what sort it is.
We're going to be tested with fire. It won't be the lake of fire, but we're going to pass through fire, and our reward will be whatever is left over after the fire burns everything else. Paul says we will suffer loss. Things will be burned that are human and fleshy and not the Spirit of God at all. And our reward will be as we come through the fire.
Revelation 22:13 - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
You see, here's the Lord. He says I'm coming quickly. And He takes the titles that God gives to Himself from the Old Testament ( Isaiah 41:4).
Revelation 22:8 - And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
This was probably a natural response. After going through all of this, and getting to see and experience all of this in the spirit, he falls down to worship before the feet of the angel.
Revelation 22:9 - Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Then he says unto me, See thou do it not: for I am your fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book:
And then he gives a command: worship God. Why would an angel say this? At the end of Hebrews Chapter 1, it says the angels are ministering spirits to those who belong to Christ, to those who are saved. So, the angels see themselves as part of God's work among us. He says don't worship me. I'm just a messenger like you are. But rather worship God.
It's kind of interesting because even from the Old Testament, you cannot worship anyone but God. It is blasphemy to give worship to anybody but God. But yet after the resurrection of Christ in John Chapter 20, when Jesus appeared to the disciples behind closed doors, and Thomas was with them, Thomas sees Him and says, "My Lord, and my God."
Well, if He's not Lord, and God, it's blasphemy! Jesus didn't tell him "Hey, you shouldn't say that, Thomas. I'm just the Son. I'm not God." No, He received Thomas' worship because He is God. Worship Him!
