V. 5 I had thought for years they would come saying I am Christ, meaning they would say they were him.

As I look around I see many coming saying "Jesus is Christ" but then the theology is messed up;

Plant your seed and get rich is not in the Bible. Jesus came to set us free from sin, not make us rich. I believe in planting your seed into the Kingdom of God, but as Mark Lowery said, "check the soil". Many tell you that once you give the money its none ya business what they do with it. I believe you must know so you can tell its really going into the work of the Lord, or just to update the model of airplane they have. Jesus walked when he could have ridden on a donkey, horse or chariot. He was a modest man who went about doing good.

Proverbs 3: It scares me to think now where I would be without Christ/God in my daily life! I have put my trust in HIM and he continues to bless me with opportunities to bless others on my journey through this life. You can NEVER go wrong trusting GOD! Though Satan is bound, people are born sinners, as children of Adam. Sin had it's beginning with Satan. Man never returns to an innocent condition, and we know how leaven works. "The devil made me do it", has been a laughable punch line, but it hearkens back to the seriousness of the fall of man in Eden. Born dead in trespasses and sin, is the condition of all people born in the flesh. "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" = Nothing. But for the grace of God, all people go to hell.

The Earthly kingdom of God, is what God intended for Israel, who instead wanted a man king, like the nations around them.

I can't think of any verses that specifically conform to what you want, but you could take a look at the following:

The interpretation of Selah is not certain. We know that when it is used in the Psalter, it's often used in Psalms that are sung or in praise to God. Therefore, it can mean "to lift up or to exalt" as an ending to some declaration. Or, it could be a direction or musical notation to the singers to "pause, be silent or become louder or softer according to the musical director". So, one cannot be certain as to its meaning or even how the Jews today view that word or if they even take much notice of it in their readings.

The mention of Queen of Heaven in Jeremiah chapters 7 & 44 refers to an Assyrian & Babylonian goddess, also known as Ashtoreth & Astarte by other groups. She was thought to the wife of the false god, Baal & women were particularly inclined towards her, as she was known to be a 'fertility goddess' as well. Sadly, Israel, who often was severely accused & punished by the True God for their embracing these false gods & goddesses, are seen here in Jeremiah actually giving much of their time & importance to this goddess, thereby bringing on God's Anger again through the prophet.

And though Israel largely rejected such worship later on, & certainly Christians are careful not to introduce idols & worship of them into our faith, Roman Catholics still practise idolatry & venerate & worship Mary, even referring to her in one of her titles, as the "Queen of Heaven & Earth". I wonder where this belief & worship of anything else but the True God emanated from?

GARNISHED means actively, regularly, being filled up with the Word of God: the Bible. Maintaining close, daily contact with The Holy Spirit, through prayer and praise. Empty means you need to fill up on more scripture. Swept, means there may be dust curls of forgotten idols? Go thru kids things too.

Demons produce "fruit" that reveals their names: depression, fear, torments, unclean, religious. They cannot cross the Blood of Jesus. Plead the Blood and ask God to send angels to guard the 4 corners of your home. Thank Him. You will soon be aware of peace in your home. Again, garnish your spirit. Fill it up on the power of Jesus and his Bible.

Demons are brain damaged and keep hoping for different results. Remind them they are going to hell.

Here is my understanding of Colossians 3:5. Interesting, it says mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth;

Mortify means put to death. It means to allow the members of your body and its desires to die. Stop trying to revive them. Stop trying to reach back into the old life. You're losing desire for those old things, so let it die.

And he gives us a list of 5 things:

Fornication, which is sexual immorality. Uncleanness, which is all sexual impureness. Inordinate affection, which is physical passion.

(Evil concupiscence), which means evil mental desires.

And covetousness, which we call greed. And the word covetousness literally in the Greek means the desire to have more. Being greedy and covetous is the desire to have more than what you have.

And notice what he calls it: which is idolatry:

It's a form of worship and it's idolatry toward God to be greedy and have the desire to have more than what God has given you.

Paul gives us the cause in Verse 6.

As you know, God is now speaking to Job (from Job chapter 38 onwards). God gives Job a whole list of things that He does, to which Job & others cannot have input to - all this to show Job that God is in control, not Job - He knows what He is doing & how He looks at things & at people.

So in Job 39:13, God refers to the peacock & ostrich, who carelessly leave their eggs buried in the earth, ignorant that something can pass by & crush those eggs. God says that He has deprived these animals of 'wisdom' to know or to look ahead as to the other possibilities of the eggs' survival. The bird only knows to lay its eggs & bury them; she gives no further thought about their further protection. Like the proverbial ostrich which buries its head in the sand, believing that no one can see it, since it can't see anyone.

Job was not to be like such animals devoid of understanding (you will need to look for this truth as you read the Book of Job, as it would be too much to write here). Rather Job needed to realize his humanity, his lack of wisdom & need to accept God's actions & dealings with him.

After this great dialogue by the Lord, Job finally realized that his wisdom lay in his being quiet before the Lord ( Job 40:3-5). As James 1:19 says: "let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath".

Are you referring to the mentioning of 'beasts' in the Book of Revelation?

If so, we start to read about these 'beasts', otherwise translated from the Greek, as living creatures, in Revelation chapter 4:6. You can read about their description from that verse onwards, but they seem to be located in "the midst & round about the Throne of God", signifying a very real part of the Presence & Holiness of God. Of course, the Apostle John could not see God, as no human can do, so all these visions that John received, were to show him something of the beings & activity in Heaven - and that all there, are in constant worship of the One Who lives eternally & to fulfil His Plans for the World. These 'beasts' are not angels & they are also distinct from the other beings that are in Heaven & that surround the Throne of God.

I enjoyed reading your comments & response & do agree with what you've written. Though, I had to spend a little time considering your understanding of "Lordship Salvation". As much as I detest such categories, I realize that these terms are necessary for an understanding of a person's position without the need to detail all the beliefs that come under its umbrella.

After reading more about Lordship Salvation (LS), I actually seem to agree with it, when one considers its antithesis, "Easy Believism", which I certainly don't espouse to. You wrote that LS, as you've recently learned, is heresy. You also wrote about it: "Our attempts at obeying God don't save us from sin! Nor do they "keep" us saved or "maintain" our salvation. (& disobedience, after being saved, doesn't cause us to lose our salvation.)." Forgive my ignorance, but does LS actually infer that obedience to God saves us/keeps us saved from sin, likewise, disobedience causes loss of salvation?

I couldn't find the above claims by those proponents of LS, rather that it is a correct understanding of Scripture, to indicate that a person truly saved by the Blood of Christ & reborn, will in all seriousness & compulsion, want to live for the One Who purchased him & be His disciple in all areas of life. There will be times of falling into sin, not unrestrained sin of course, but the Spirit within will immediately impress conviction, with great spiritual discomfort & a requirement to seek forgiveness & change. If he should neglect this & continue to persist in disobedience, then his testimony before the Lord might seem hypocritical to us, but ultimately to be judged & dealt with by the Lord & not us.

So, what I'm saying, is that I agree with you, it's just that I'm unaware of LS propagating a teaching of 'salvation through Christ & the keeping of the Law'. Of course, I have other views of the application of the Law in the life of the believer in Christ: but that's another matter for another time. Blessings.

Rapture is a state or experience of being carried away. The English word comes from a Latin word, rapio, which means to seize or snatch in relation to an ecstasy of spirit or the actual removal from one place to another. In other words, it means to be carried away in spirit or in body. The Rapture of the church means the carrying away of the church from earth to heaven.

The Greek word from this term "rapture" is derived appears in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, translated "caught up." The Latin translation of this verse used the word rapturo. The Greek word it translates is harpazo, which means to snatch or take away. Elsewhere it is used to describe how the Spirit caught up Philip near Gaza and brought him to Caesarea ( Acts 8:39) and to describe Paul's experience of being caught up into the third heaven ( 2 Cor. 12:2-4). Thus there can be no doubt that the word is used in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 to indicate the actual removal of people from earth to heaven.

It is commonly asserted that the word rapture doesn't appear in the Bible, and this absence is held forth as evidence that the teaching of the rapture is a falsehood. But this claim is untrue. The word rapture does appear in the Bible. It appears in the exact same way that words like angel and apostle appear in the Bible. he word rapture is simply the anglicized form of the Greek word (harpaz) that appears in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 in the original text.

To begin with, the English word rapture is derived from the Latin participle raptus from the verb rapio. And Latin rapio and Greek (harpaz) are cognates - they are the same word.Don't be fooled by the superficial differences between Latin rapio and Greek harpaz. The - (-az) on the end of (harpaz) is not part of the shared stem but a common Koine Greek verb ending.
