Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. When you pray, forgive. Have faith in God. You can speak to the mountain and tell it to move. The Christmas season is a time to celebrate the wondrous works of the Lord. When Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, God visited mankind through his precious Son Jesus. Mary was favored by God and the angel of the Lord told her that she would conceive in her womb, and bring forth a Son whose name shall be Jesus (St. Luke 1:30-31). He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and he shall have the throne of David (St. Luke 1:32-35). David was a king anointed by God. However, Jesus' reign and throne is forever. He is the greatest King and his kingdom has no end. The angel told Mary, The Holy Ghost (God's Spirit) shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest (God) shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Jesus was conceived holy, born holy, lived holy, died holy, was resurrected holy, and reigns holy on his throne with his holy angels in heaven. This is complete and magnificent holiness. Jesus is God's gift to mankind. Through Jesus, God redeems us and guides us through all truth (the Word of God). Jesus shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Prince of Peace, and the Everlasting Father. Of his kingdom there shall be no end. Jesus shall save his people from their sins (Matt.1:21). We can all be saved because of the obedience and suffering of Jesus. Let us swiftly seize upon the opportunity to have salvation -- it is free. Just ask Jesus to help you, and He will save and preserve your soul. Jesus is our Saviour. He makes us whole. All power is given unto Him in heaven and in earth, by God. When we serve Him, He is always with us unto the end of the world ( Matt. 28:18-20). Worship the Lord and receive His blessings each day.

1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 is one place you will find it. But, you will not find the word "rapture" in your English Bible. The word rapture comes from the Latin word Raptus. The original language (Greek) uses the word harpadzo which is basically the same thing. So whether you use the word rapture, raptus, or harpadzo, they all mean the same thing, to be "caught up" or seized by force. And that is what is found in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4.

1 Timothy Chapter 5, Verses 17 & 18:

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, that is, acknowledge that, especially the ones who labor in the word and doctrine, or teaching. For the scripture says, and there are two pieces of scripture here that Paul uses to back it up.

First of all, Deuteronomy Chapter 25 Verse 4: He says thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treads out the corn.

In 1 Corinthians Chapter 9, Paul says, "You don't think that God was talking about oxen do you?" If you have oxen treading the corn, you got to feed the oxen too, or else he's not going to be around to tread the corn for you.

The second scripture is Luke 10:7. The words of Jesus, The laborer is worthy of his reward, or hire.

So acknowledge those who labor in the word, and in doctrine, and make sure that they're taken care of.

Try Thessalonians Book 1 Chapter 4

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. ( Hebrews 13:16-17)

Elsewhere the word is translated simply as lust. Here it seems to imply obsessive sinful desire.

As far as interpreting Scriptures, prayer is always a good idea first so you don't "miss it", "it" meaning the meat or manna that'll fatten up and edify your spiritual man. Also praying in The Spirit/stammering lips/speaking in tongues, ushers in The Holy Ghost so you can interpret The Word in a spiritual way instead of in a fleshly way. That is why (in my experience) The Gift of Tongues was the first as evidence that you had/have The Holy Ghost because as you speak in tongues, you can feel the Holy Ghost fall on you with such a sweet quickening, with a curious yearn for more of an intimate relationship with The Father, who can then bless you with more of The 9 spiritual gifts. The Gift of knowledge and wisdom (God will open up and give you a peak at the most mind blowing beautiful awe inspiring knowledge that pertains to what you or whomever The Lord wishes you to minister to, with the Wisdom of when to use it and/or to whom to share it with, so that they too may become blessed and a walking blessing) if it doesn't witness with you now, it may not be what you need as an answer right now. But debating Scriptures, will only bring strife/distance someone that may have been on the precipice of giving all to God but was turned off by a debating battering spirit. Yes we are to gather together & reason one to another, but as I read a few of these thread comments, its reading like a political "I'm right you're wrong" type page, we're speaking of the most sacred of sacred and are blessed enough to even get a glimpse of such artistry/strength/healing/beautiful poetry that IS ALIVE! That is exactly why you shouldn't minister to anyone who doesn't want to hear it. "don't cast your pearls among the swine", what are pearls? The Word, who are the swine? foolish scoffers. I was blessed with The Holy Ghost at 8 with a vision of red ribbons blowing out of my mouth into the wind as The Tongues burst out of my mouth, felt like I was going to die if I kept my mouth closed.

I hope I'm not misunderstanding you, & please forgive me if I am. But the Bible states otherwise than your overall message.

While it's true that many church institutions (& traditions) teach lies, & while it's true that nobody who lives in (I guess you mean habitual) sin is free from sin, not one of us is, has been, or ever will be able, in this life, to be free from sin by trying to obey all of God's laws.

It's impossible for us to do this perfectly, 100% of the time, & under or in any & all circumstances! That's why Jesus Christ did it for us instead, praise Him!

I once thought Lordship Salvation (which your message seems to espouse) was correct, but recently I (& others) have learned that it's a heresy.

Our attempts at obeying God don't save us from sin! Nor do they "keep" us saved or "maintain" our salvation. (& disobedience, after being saved, doesn't cause us to lose our salvation.)

Repentance is important in salvation & for sanctification, but repentance (or anyone/thing else, includ. the keeping of the Law) isn't the Savior, the Son of God is.

Jesus Christ is the only one who kept the Law perfectly & was, is, & will always be sinless; He is our perfect & complete sacrifice for our sins!

I pray that you & others would see this truth! It isn't right that anyone should be held in bondage to this legalistic, joy-destroying, Christ-depreciating false gospel.

1 Chronicles 1--16. In this account it speaks of "beast"

What or who are the beast? Who are these beast?

It seems from the other Scriptures that show Jesus' baptism by John, that it was only John who witnessed the descent of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus. We know that other people were around as John was also baptising them, when Jesus approached him. There isn't any mention of the reaction of the crowd, if indeed they saw this anointing. This was a special revelation to John that Christ was indeed the Messiah, the Son of God, Who would not baptize with water as he was doing, but with the Holy Spirit.

Alan, not sure who you were directing this enquiry to, but it's very likely that the Apocryphal Book Ecclesiasticus was being referred to as it contains 51 chapters & not the Ecclesiastes in the Bible that we read from.

Anyone in Christ ought to capitalize on grace, it's sad not to hear the church talk on grace yet the epistles on all their salutations made reference to grace.As the church we need to wake up and follow this trajectory of grace, there is something the Apostles knew on grace the modern church doesn't know.

The church has been telling lies to the people. No one is free from sin who lives in sin!!!! I repeat! No one is free from sin who lives in sin! The only thing that saves you from sin is not to do it!!! Keep the laws statutes and commandments and judgments of the Most High . Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand!

Chanting is never heard of in the Bible. When the Jews sing, they usually use their song book, the Psalms, & also words from other Jewish sources. Christians sing from a hymn book, chorus book & such like, where hopefully, the words fully align with the Scriptures.

Being conversant with the chanting done by Hindus (similar to the Buddhists, I assume), it demonstrates generally a continual, monotonous set of words or rhythm for the primary purpose to elevate their mental (& spiritual) state to a 'higher level'. They can do it in Temple worship, worship at home, or in solitude (as the real version (not Western) that Yoga demands). It's this constant repetition & mental 'vibration' that incites a person to achieve a different state of mind & euphoria.

And for the Christian, this quest is totally against Scripture. We are never told to neutralize our minds & wills so as to attain a higher level of consciousness. However, we are told in 1 Peter 1:13, "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ". "Girding up" means that we have to maintain strict & constant control of our minds, what goes in & what comes out. We are never to disengage our minds & wills from our control - if we do, we might be subject to other spirits having access to us. But when we gird up our minds, we demonstrate our subjection to the Holy Spirit within us, declaring that we want to only hear His Voice, & only be led of Him.

Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Our minds have to constantly be guarded. In this verse, the example of the pull of the World to conform to their standards & their understanding of life's matters, remains ever before us. But we have to renew our minds (i.e. make an effort rather to conform to God's Standards for us).
