I'm surprised that as a former RC you didn't believe in the pre-existence of Jesus (as the Word of God, of course). The Nicene Creed specifically states that Jesus was there prior to His birth in Bethlehem. "I believe in the one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages, God from God, etc.etc." Anyway, now that the Light from God's Word has now shined upon you, your knowledge of your Saviour has increased making more sense of God's provision of His Own Sacrifice for each one of us. Blessings.
  • WHAT THE CHURCH SHOULD BE - In Reply on John 14:12 - 5 years ago
Church is so much more than a "show" on tv. Jesus took it to the streets and so should we: anyone who names the Name of Jesus.

I was a baby Christian with a teething ring when I first went out to evangelize in street ministry. Roswell New Mexico: home of the little green aliens with huge back eyes.

Most of us know enough to get all of our neighbors saved. Some we know and love. I used my own gas to pick up people and take them to church the first time; and take them back home.

A week later I found out we need to pray to the Lord of the Harvest. Who is Jesus Christ. Bible calls it intercession: same thing Jesus does 24/7x365 for All Saints. He sends us people who are ready to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

That was in the 80's. We set up film projectors, weekends on the Courthouse lawn and showed Rapture Movies to hundreds of people. Witnessing is fun! Why are we so scared to talk to strangers?? It's done every day on Facebook! Etc.

Try to stay off of private property.

Satan likes it when we stay home scared to open the door. Guess what? Jesus is The Door.

Matthew 24 is happening NOW. This is everybody's last chance to go get those rowdy teenagers in the house and show them a Rapture Movie and pray with everyone of them. Collect up some 3.00 Bibles from Goodwill to give away to them! It's an offering of your money to Jesus's ministry. Absolutely blessed!

I'm going to mention something that churches don't teach. Satan has demons named: "Spirit of Heaviness". You can Google what they do to people. Make you depressed, lethargic, lazy, unmovable, uninspired, almost paralyzed. Ever feel that ? See the world going to hell, but you doubt you can affect it? You be the guy that prays to the Lord of the Harvest and see how quick you get free from brain damaged demons. They're scared of Jesus Loving Christians. :D

Pray about what I've said. Feel alive. Be filled with the Holy Spirit! Not self pity. Not Fear.

  • Validity of the KJV Bible - In Reply on Ecclesiastes 3 - 5 years ago
Israel has found almost ALL of the original. Scrolls. They're locked up of course.

You can see them by googling or 700 club has videos of it.

Comparing the KJV Bible to other versions. King James of England spared no effort to get a Bible into "the little" lay people who did not have Bibles.

People, priests were burned at the stake for smuggling a page of scripture so everyone could read it.

We are so spoiled. Anyone can walk into a Goodwill Store and find a Christian KJV Bible. Careful not to get a Jehovah Witnesses Bible or even a R.C. Bible. KJV's are getting harder to find.
  • Church Freedoms under Attack - In Reply on John 14:12 - 5 years ago
Well currently the Democratic House is enforcing a ruling in Nancy Pelosis' home state, California: that all Christians are forbidden to sing in Church across the USA.

Only a percentage of members can attend Church due to crowding during a pandemic.

For a while (maybe still?) police were made to cruise church parking lots and write down license plate numbers. I think there was some (Christian) public outcry over that.

People really don't see how easily we can be played to worship the Antichrist. We have a Constitution that separates the State out of Church matters; not the other way around.

    Church is a privilege now.

We better wake up and pay attention. What's happening is pretty bad.

It's simply because they want to mislead people from the truth. That's why they made a lot of versions. If you are searching and looking for the truth about God or the real God you must read the King James version because its 99.9 % accurate from the original version. It was proven when the scroll of Isiah was found in the dead sea and when they checked it from the King James version it was 99.9 % accurate and this KJV is really infallible. That's why the reason is simply to misinformed or deceived people or drive people away from the truth.

I think if everyone wants to be more enlightened search if it is really true about the scroll of Isiah.

    Wesley's Notes for Hebrews 6:6

6:6 And have fallen away - Here is not a supposition, but a plain relation of fact. The apostle here describes the case of those who have cast away both the power and the form of godliness; who have lost both their faith, hope, and love, # Heb 6:10|, &c., and that wilfully, # Heb 10:26|. Of these wilful total apostates he declares, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance. (though they were renewed once,) either to the foundation, or anything built thereon. Seeing they crucify the Son of God afresh - They use him with the utmost indignity. And put him to an open shame - Causing his glorious name to be blasphemed.

People's Bible Notes for Hebrews 6:6

Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away. Apostasize from the faith. To renew them unto repentance. He is so far fallen that he has no capacity left for repentance. Judas the Apostate sorrowed, but his sorrows became despair. There was remorse but not repentance. Seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh. By rejecting Christ they place themselves with those who rejected him and crucified him because he affirmed that he was the Son of God. Those meant are not those "overtaken in a fault" (Ga 6:1), or backsliders only, but men once Christian professors who not only turn away from but oppose Christ.

There are only 2 judgements in the future:

Bema judgement of Christians for rewards or crowns, or no rewards.

    Great White Throne Judgement.

Satan and the false prophet will be first to go to hell. For 1000 years. Then only satan is released a short time,

Your like a dog with a chew stick that won't chew. Who cares what angels have under their robes???? Anybody ???

How about President of Turkey saying today that He's going to run Israel out of Jerusalem? Now try to imagine Biden to tell someone as crazy as Erdongon that we might have to enforce sanctions....

How do you arrive at this conclusion, Jimmy? If the 'Jerusalem Jews' are not the real Jews, nor for that matter, those Jews that are living in other parts of Israel & the world, then how can we deduce that the 'negros in America' are the true ones, given that Jacob, along with his ancestors & descendants, were not of African heritage? If anything, one would have to submit to the mixing of the races, removing the purity of many of the Jewish people.
  • Adu Opoku on John 14:12 - 5 years ago
As believers why are we not seeing 'greater works' today within the Church community?

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Jesus Healed everyone he encountered who was sick and diseased and he performed many miracles, He also died on the cross as atonement for our sins and came to reconcile us to God who has now forgiven us. So why as Christians are we continuing to live outside of God's original plan which was in place before human sin first entered the world after creation?

Even I don't know what this means being the Beginning of the creation of God, you cannot refer to a few verses and make a point about this topic which you call the trinitarians. There are as well as many places that clearefies that Jesus is Lord and God. Amen.
  • Chris - In Reply on Psalms 2 - 5 years ago
To understand Psalm 2:12, we have to take in the other verses as well. Starting from verse 6, the Psalmist speaks, under the inspiration of the Spirit, about a coming King to set up His Kingdom in Zion (Hill of Jerusalem). God refers to him as a His Son, & One Who is begotten (the Hebrews writer quotes this in Hebrews 1:5 when writing about the superiority of Jesus over the angels).

And to this Son, all of Earth will be His possession (in that day) & so the solemn instruction & warning to the "kings & rulers of the Earth" (v 10), to be wise & not foolish. The wise one will "kiss the Son" (v 12): not a literal kiss of affection, but as in Eastern cultures, one of homage/obeisance to one who is greater than them (it may be a bowing down, or a kiss on the hand or garment). So when the Son (Jesus) is acknowledged & worshipped, the one doing so will not experience His Anger or rejection as those who show Him disdain. But it is one thing to acknowledge the coming King, but another to put one's trust & love upon Him. There will be a time in the future, when Jesus will not only be acknowledged as the Messiah & King by all, but will also receive the love & trust that His rightfully His from those who are witnesses of this, turning their unbelief & rejection into belief, trust & deep love for the One Who comes in the Name of LORD. Psalm 118:26 and Mark 11:9,10 show the first cry of joy at Christ's coming.

So, the Psalm 2 is a prophetical Psalm - maybe unknown to the writer, but now revealed to us in Jesus.
  • CK on Psalms 83:18 - 5 years ago
The name given at Psalms 83:18 is derived from the Hebrew consonants Yod He Vod He, or YHVH, referred to commonly as the Tetragrammaton. Because of IGNORANT and FOOLISH Jewish "tradition" of refusing to pronounce "the name" based on the commandment to "not use the name of thy God in vain," the original pronunciation has been lost to history. However, based on the Hebraic tradition of names having meanings and their numerical coded messages in Gematria, the pronunciation Yahweh has been given as the closest Hebrew approximation to the name in modern times. In English, it is translated a Jehovah and the J is pronounced with the J sound. In Spanish the J is pronounced with the H sound, and there is no "h" at the end in Spanish spelling. Each language has their own TRANSLATION and pronunciation for the Hebrew name Yahweh.

Satan the Devil does not want humans to know the name of the only TRUE God, Yahweh/Jehovah so that we would not KNOW who the true God is nor call on His name and worship Him. This is why the name has been all but removed from translations of the original scrolls, even though on the originals it was written 1000's of times. JEHOVAH is the only TRUE God and Jesus Christ is His SON, whom Jehovah gave as a sacrificial ransom, once for all time, for redemption of the Adamic sins of humankind, in order that all who believe in Jesus and OBEY His commands would be forgiven our sins and receive everlasting life.

How that everlasting life is defined is a different thread.
  • Jimmy on Joel 3 - 5 years ago
It is time for the truth to come. God is talking about the family of Jacob when he speaks about his people.

remember God change Jacob's name to Israel. The people in Jerusalem are not the real Jew. The people he

speaks of being scather is Negros in America.

  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 9 - 5 years ago
Yes Norman, your statement sounds 'OK' to me. I concur with every word you've written & as I look at not only the Sun & the Earth, but also at Man, indeed anything with life, I can barely comprehend the complexities of cellular structure, of their organs & operations and the capability of everything within us functioning in harmony within the bounds set for us. To believe that all this can just happen without a Creator is quite simply mind boggling & says nothing good about such darkened minds that are otherwise exercised in accomplishing great things for man's good.

Romans 1:20-25 speaks well on this abnormality. Even though, he who is not inclined to believe in a supernatural creator & may not set up idols to worship, yet he is persuaded that he is his own god & answerable to none else, & that his goodness comes from within him or because of compulsion from a worldly authority. To him, the rejection of God, of His creative Powers, of His Love & interest in the affairs of His creation, is an absurdity & this only shows to us who believe & to the heavenly host, that the 'light' that man believes he has, is in fact the light that leads him to greater darkness. The path he chooses may seem right but the end of it ultimately brings him to spiritual ruin ( Proverbs 16:25).

Many people believe that the soul leaves the body during near-death experiences and survives after death, but in 20 years of research on out-of-body and near-death experiences I never found any convincing evidence that this is so.

Dont be decieved in the 5th seal the believers die for the word the ones left are the ones that are part of the system now.1/4 of the world will be killed the believers will be beheaded for the word and given a crown of life Rev. In trumpets a 3rd will die after that. The rest that survive will be apart of the system that has taken the mark of the beast. Jesus makes it very clear not to be deceive by man he will not come untill the 7th trumpet judgement.

It's not in the Bible. It's only a myth to justify people relying on themselves rather than God. Biblically, God helps those who depend on Him and know that without Him, they are completely helpless.

Hi there, I've never heard of such a passage in the Bible. Sometimes people mistranslate and misunderstand verses like the telephone game and end up with an entirely different phrase/meaning they repeat and assume it's from the Bible. I know of other phrases like this that a % believe, but isn't from the Bible. That's why it's best to take anything a man says with a grain of salt and just read God's Word directly. God bless.

Thank you for that nice reply brother David. Like my statement of just not calling myself "perfect". I know when I make a little mistake, with maybe some bad thoughts, say because something may annoy me very much. Like we all probably go through. I have no doubt our Father forgives me for every little mistake I may make. As in prayer always asking for his eternal mercy and forgiveness and it is done. To correct you though I do not think "anything we do is sin." I'm not redefining anything. I could probably write down about thirty things, in the Bible, we should try to stay away from and that's not everything sinful in the world. I have honestly repented, with help of a power not of my own, the Holy Ghost, and will do my best to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ always. Knowing I'm doing spiritually well. Not just thinking it. The closer you draw to our Father the closer He will draw to you. Luke 18:9-14 is a good parable of the Lord about humbleness. James 4:6.

It's very sad you say "your god" and "the God I serve." As you seem to portray I am not serving the one Almighty Holy Eternal God. Our Perfect Father in Heaven. Me thinking most who post on this site are focused on the same Almighty God. As we can tell being through Jesus Christ.

Also as you stated. This will be my last post on this subject. I just want to apologize if anything I've stated has made any kind of tension between us. As I don't want. God Bless you brother David. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Please tell me if this sounds ok to you all. All it takes for me to believe is go out side and look up at the Sun that has been burning at the perfect temp to support all life on the Earth every since the day it was created and never has ran out of fuel so how many things do you know that burn that never runs out of fuel and then look at the Earth and everything in it and it is so complex and there is no way it just happen or evolved. It was all created and created by our God and no one no matter what they say could change my mind! There is not one thing that could change my mind. Praise the Lord. I really do not see how anyone could not believe that this world was created by God. Amen
