I might be intruding in your conversation, and please accept my apology. But you have stirred my curiosity on something. You mention Judas walking away from his salvation. Someone else in another post said that Judas was a Christian. I have never heard anyone refer to Judas as being a Christian, or saved for that matter. In John 6:70, Jesus said have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Jesus did not choose Judas Iscariot to become evil. He chose him to be part of His ministry because he was evil, because the scriptures must be fulfilled that He be betrayed, And He can't be betrayed by one of His own. There has to be a demon in the camp! Judas was evil the entire time, and only Jesus knew it.
But I'm still impressed by how after three years, Jesus can announce to the disciples at the Last Supper that one of you will betray me, and none of the disciples knew who it was.
You would think that after three years, if Judas Iscariot is a demon, you would think that the others would have noticed something strange about him during that three year period and say "I knew there was something weird about that guy!"
But they didn't know. He talked like them, acted like them, and looked like them. They couldn't notice any difference over three years. You would think maybe over a month that he could deceive them for a whole month, but three years?
That is scary! That's why believers in the body of Christ, even in our day, in the last days, we must trust and go by the Word of God not by appearances.
I'm glad you responded. I did not intend to make it seem like I was referring to the early church being like today's church. I hope others will not get that impression. I was a little sporadic in my thoughts, going from the church today, to the early church, and then back again, so I see how it can be taken the wrong way.
The church back in the first 300 years seemed to have their act together until Constantine came into the equation. Most of today's problems stem from the church becoming too large, and it was never intended to be that way, and I'll explain my reasoning in a second.
But I think most of our problems come from opening the door to everybody because we've become more concerned with numbers than teaching the truth of the gospel. It seems as though success is based on how much money the church makes, and how many people we can pack into the church. (Mega-Ministries)
The reason why I say that the church was never intended to be too large comes from studying the parable of the mustard seed. The mustard seed was not supposed to grow into such a large tree. I also have to keep in mind that in Mark's gospel, when Jesus was explaining the parable of the sower to the disciples, the first thing He said was, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
That's key to me. If I understand the parable of the sower, I will understand all parables. I can't understand the others without understanding the parable of the sower. So when I study the mustard seed, I conclude that the birds represent evil, as in the parable of the sower. So we have birds lodging in the branches of this mustard seed plant. I see the mustard seed plant as representing the church.
The seed is planted in the ground, and it grows to be a monstrous tree, which is not normal for this herb. The mustard seed does not grow into a tree. But it grows so large that the birds come and lodge in the branches. And these birds are evil, and they come and mix with the good.
In Rev. 20:4-5, John sees the souls of Saints who were BEHEADED for refusing the Mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation. John writes that they will rise and reign with Christ for 1000 years and that this is the FIRST RESURRECTION!
If according to John, the beheaded rise in the FIRST resurrection and Paul said those who are alive and remain are not caught up until AFTER the dead in Christ are resurrected, then this means the catching up or rapture takes place AFTER tribulation!
Now compare the above with 1 CORINTHIANS 15:20-23:
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of those who slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; AFTERWARDS THOSE WHO ARE CHRIST'S AT HIS COMING.
Notice only one resurrection of the dead in Christ is mentioned here! Which, according to Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 must take place BEFORE we who are alive and remain are "caught up" with them!
When did Jesus say the dead in Christ would be resurrected?
John 6:39-40: Jesus said, "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up ON THE LAST DAY.
John 6:44: Jesus said, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up ON THE LAST DAY."
Is the LAST DAY the start of thousand year reign of Christ?
I believe so....then it is eternity and time is counted no more
So if Jesus himself said the dead in Christ will be raised on the LAST DAY, and Paul said we who are alive and remain will not be caught up (raptured) until AFTER the dead are raised, then where does secret pre-trib rapture fit in?
The Complete Jewish Bible by "messianic believer" Doctor David Stern writes:
Presenting the Word of God as a unified Jewish book, the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) is a translation for Jews and non-Jews alike. It connects readers with the Jewishness of the Messiah. Names and key terms are returned to their original Hebrew and presented in easy-to-understand transliterations.
The CJB is a translation of the Bible into English by Dr. David H. Stern. It consists of Dr. Stern's revised translation of the Old Testament (Tanakh) plus his original Jewish New Testament (B'rit Hadashah) translation in one volume.
In Isaiah 14 (REMOVED LUCIFER AND INSERTS MORNING STAR) Their argument is Lucifer is a "Latin" word that does not belong in English. About 20% of English comes from Latin. Does Taco not belong in English since it is Spanish?
Satanists and Luciferians know who Lucifer is. Read Carefully
Isaiah 14: (the fall of Lucifer)
11 Your pride has been brought down to Sh'ol (Hell)
with the music of your lyres,
under you a mattress of maggots,
over you a blanket of worms.'
(KJV uses Lucifer Stern inserts MORNING STAR who FELL from Heaven)
12 "How did you come to fall from the heavens,
MORNING STAR, son of the dawn?
How did you come to be cut to the ground,
conqueror of nations?
13 You thought to yourself, 'I will scale the heavens,
I will raise my throne above God's stars.
I will sit on the Mount of Assembly
far away in the north.
14 I will rise past the tops of the clouds,
I will make myself like the Most High.'
So who fell from heaven going to the pit of Hell? THE MORNING STAR.
Who is the Morning Star? Stern says Jesus is Yeshua
Revelation 22: 16 "I, (Jesus) Yeshua, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright MORNING STAR.
Did you catch it Jesus is Yeshua the MORNING STAR in Rev 22 and in Isaiah 14 Yeshua fell from heaven making him Lucifer essentially
Trust him and fixe our eyes on him .He sent his only son to take our sin . Love your Lord with all your heart ,all your soul and all your mind.

Why did you put this under Genesis 1, when it is about other chapters? Also there are no links to these other chapters and there are several. I see this with others also; but I am relatively knew to this; and so i don't understand it. It seems to be relatively common but I find it difficult to follow when I am in Genesis; however; if i were to pick the newest comments; then I could decide on those other chapters there and may be that is what people usually does, in which case, I can see why people may post in one book on things in other books and then those who are interested can go there when they are browsing on the new comments looking for something to interest them.
Thank you for your comments in the Bible; I enjoy them.

But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. ( Matthew 6:15)
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. ( Matthew 24:13)
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. ( Revelation 3:5)
There are other verses I can provide, if you're interested. The clear testimony of the Bible is that we must persevere in the grace of God, otherwise we will be lost. No one can snatch us out of God's hand, but that doesn't mean that we cannot walk away from him. Quite frankly, the fact that OSAS is so popular in America, scares me, because it is making people take their salvation lightly.
No one knows of, 'The Second Coming' or exactly the Rapture Time but the Season yes Matt 24 (Second Coming Signs). Remember Jesus's Disciples ask him two questions, " & what shall be the sign of thy coming, & of the end of the world?"
We are in the Rapture Season, "Last Trump" explained in Num. 10, a trump to call the assembly. Lev 23:9 (First-Fruits, Barley Harvest & Second fruit Wheat Harvest/Martyrs).
Tribulation Period & Antichrist: Daniel 9; Matt 24 : Revelation 13; Luke 20:41-47 (Antichrist will say he is a Jew? 'Davidic Line' but is not and speaks about the Pope and Vatican/scribes, long robes (vs.46), ( Rev. 2:9, "I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, & are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.")
2 Thess. 2, the Antichrist can't come to power until the, 'The Rapture Event'.
**From my research, Antichrist 666 look to Henry Charles Albert David**
Pray to God & ask him to open the scriptures up to you & he will but it will require you to shutdown all entertainment & other distractions for some time, fast & pray.
Remember if you get left behind you have another chance. #1 Don't Divorce Jesus/Don't Take The Mark,
#2 Repent and Cry Out to God (Fast and Pray), #3 Do Not Listen to the Antichrist Nor View him unnecessarily on Tv because he has bewitching powers. # 4 Cover yourself with the blood of Jesus & speak protection scriptures often. #5 Ask God to lead you to fellow believers that are repentant and serious about his. Do not fall for False Teachers/Prophets saying its OK to take the Mark & God will forgive you for taking it because this is a lie! #6 Prepare for Martyrdom, God will give you grace to lay down your life ( Ps 48 :14). Much fasting and prayer will prepare you for this. Do not fight the death process as he will raise you to eternal life in heaven & you will receive a Martyrs Crown.
In my understanding about these 'high places', not all of them were wholly devoted to idolatry. Sometimes, a high place could have been formerly used for idolatry & subsequently used as a place to worship the true GOD. Or, Israel could have assigned particular elevated areas to conduct their worship. Therefore, those high places that Jehoshaphat took down were idolatrous places but those he left were used for worship to God. But this is a pure guess as to how the writers of these books (1 Kings: Jeremiah & 1 & 2 Chronicles: Ezra) perceived these high places & the way they were used.
So after what is said above, I refer to 1 Cor 9:27. I know that this verse is sometimes used to show Paul's fear of losing his salvation if he didn't persevere with all diligence in the faith, but is that the meaning of the Scripture? He speaks of bringing his body (with any remnants of its affections & lusts) into subjection (making it a slave instead of vice versa). And if he failed to do so, then after speaking of the victory that his hearers can have in Christ, he himself should be a castaway (Gk. adokimos = not standing the test & being rejected). Now, if 'rejected' means 'loss of salvation' to you, so be it. But I see in Paul's application, that he is actually speaking of him becoming a hypocrite & one unworthy of the high office of an apostle. And this is the thing he feared: that he would displease his Lord & shame Him in his ministry. I almost see a connection with Acts 20:28, when Paul sent for & spoke to the Ephesian elders, "to take heed unto yourselves (lead circumspect lives) & to all the flock over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers...".
Commandments: are Orders or Charges.
Judgements: instructions as to what to do in a situation.
Statutes (also given as Ordinances): decrees or requirements or boundaries set by God.
Law: is a general word to encompass the above, but of course, Law can be given by God or man.
That is a very brief description that may help you even though it may seem a little puzzling to us today. The Jews who read their Torah, the Psalms & the Prophets, knew well the meaning of those words & how they applied to them.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou Shalt be condemned.
I feel that in the Church today & given our governmental laws, one must only preach against evil, & specifically of sins which insidiously creeps into the Church, so that the ground rules are set & the guilty amongst them may sense conviction or may even leave of his own accord. But when the Church overlooks it completely or preaches an 'easy salvation' which gives the hapless soul no certainty of salvation or of eternity, that Church will be condemned the more.
"That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoureth NOT the Son, honoureth Not the Father which hath sent him."
Jesus has numerous names; having different meanings. John 1:21 shows his name at birth...Jesus."
It's the only name by which you are saved.
I am not sure I understand your question?
