Thank you for the reply! Your answer, in part, is that there were three persons in the beginning. Please, what do you mean by 'beginning'?

John, if someone comes to you claiming to be a "prophet of God" and says that God revealed something to them, ask them to show you in the bible where Jesus or Paul taught it. If it's not in the bible, it is not true, and that person is a false prophet. I had a person come to me once claiming to be a "prophet of God," and they told me that God gave them a message.

My response to them was "Good for you, but He didn't give me that message, so it doesn't do me any good. You see, if God wants to reveal something to any of us, He doesn't need to go through someone claiming to be a prophet in order to give us the message. Besides that, the Apostle John was the last true prophet!

One other thing to think about: If someone says God revealed something to them that is not already in the bible, then it should be added to the bible, right? I mean, if God said, then it's His word. But we are warned against that because we already have the complete prophecy of God in written form. Next time a "prophet of God" comes to you with a message and he/she cannot show you in scripture, tell them that they need to add it. You'll probably get a very puzzled look from them, and they will not be willing to go that far!

If you truly look around at earth and see all the variety of things God made, how could you not know now, that heaven is beautiful. Lots to do there.

Personally I think we will see our loved ones who are there already. I don't think they sit on bleachers watching us every day. There's a veil between us and them for now.

There is no marriage or old boyfriends or girlfriends. Heaven is not earthy.

You need to be forthcoming with why you want to know if we will know and recognize each other. Would you go to hell if you thought a loved one was there?

Paul says one baptism! He is not talking about sprinkling or immersing. It was Paul who said in 1 Corinthians Chapter 12, Verse 13 that we are all baptized by one Spirit into the body of Christ.



It is a Hebrew phrase that Paul used to describe the salvation process, that when the Holy Spirit comes into a person's life, they are cleansed.

And baptism also means identification. In 1 Corinthians Chapter 10, the people in the wilderness were baptized unto Moses. There wasn't any baptism ceremony. But when they identified with him and went through the Red Sea, they called it baptism. It's identification.

But there's only one baptism that saves. That's the baptism of God's Spirit. And there's one God, Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all.

Do you get the idea that he's trying to say we're pretty much covered? He's in us, He's through us, and He's around us!

Man was made in the image of God and man has a Body, Soul and Spirit which is 3 parts that make 1 man.

If I might just go one verse further in Ephesians to Verse 14 which says "Which, or who, is the earnest, or guarantee, of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory. This tells me that we are purchased by Christ, meaning He owns us. The seal is a mark of ownership. No one can break that seal except the owner of the possession. We're sealed with the Holy Spirit. He doesn't give us a seal. He is the seal.

He's the mark of ownership and He has sealed us so that no spiritual force or otherwise can penetrate our spirit. As you mentioned, we've been sealed. We've been sealed by the Holy Spirit and filled with the Spirit of Christ. We are very rich!

Verse 14 also tells us we were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise who is the (guarantee) of our inheritance. It's nice to know that in the midst of our weaknesses that the presence of God's Spirit is our guarantee, until the redemption of the purchased possession.

I believe this use of the word redemption is making reference to the coming of Christ, when redemption is realized. We've been purchased and we're sitting at the "will call window." He hasn't picked us up yet. But when Christ comes, He's going to come for the purchased possession, you and I, and all genuine believers who belong to Him!

And then I go down to Ephesians 4:30 that tells us that we are sealed with the Spirit of God "until" Christ comes. We're preserved. We're being kept for Christ at His coming. God's powerful grip is keeping us. That's our guarantee that we are preserved for Him. I think if believers would trust in the one who has saved them, the one who has purchased them, and the one who owns them and says He is coming for us, instead of trusting in themselves to keep themselves saved; they would come away with a whole new perspective about their salvation. It all boils down to who we're trusting in. Are we trusting God's power to keep us? Or, are we trusting in ourselves?

Ok. I see where you could be confused here. When I come to understand these pages in the Holy Scriptures (66 books combined written by 40 different holy men of God) I did not get at first either. Through much prayer and receiving Jesus in to my heart as the Holy Spirit moved, I was shown these understandings. God Father, Jesus (Son) and the Comforter or Holy Spirit are actually 3 persons who were together in the beginning as the scripture says. That is why God the Father says let us make them (man and women) in our image. The Son as who is Jesus in John 1:14 And the Word or Jesus was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth. Some things will be shown to you as you grow and trust in the Lord with all your heart. It's a growing and learning experience. I have done many Bible studies over 45 years of my life. God is faithful to keep his promises. He asks us to study and search his words as you are doing. Some will always be learning and not receive the knowledge. We have to have faith to know the things of God. He will guide as he searches the heart of a man. I enjoy reading Corinthians 1 and 2 books. These books were an eye opener for me. Through the Holy Spirit the Lord can talk directly to you in visions and dreams just as he did before. That is real. It happens more than people know. This is a faith builder and it will strengthen you for what is coming in the future events. I personally love reading Daniel and Revelation. These books are another realm in itself. The way God communicates this day & time is by reading The Bible. Remember, the Bible wasn't available in Bible times ... God talked with man at that time many ways. Burning bush, raising the dead, etc ...
