Lately I have heard more stories about women and their children being beaten bad enough to be hospitalized; rape; incest. Husbands leaving for another man. No. I do not believe God wants a woman to endure that kind of abuse. Nor do I believe she should forfeit her whole life because of a bad marriage.
I do agree that people get married without even knowing that person. They bring all this misery on themselves. They believe Hollywood over real life. Premarital counseling needs to become popular again; if not taught in High School.
Ditto with reading the Bible. Bible was kicked out of public school in 1962. We are reaping the harvest now. Or should I say whirlwind? Our present culture is wide screen, living color, representation of a life lived without Gods love.
We need more mercy in helping these people. Where the heck was the Church in 1962 ? I was 11 and I remember saying the Lords prayer and pledge of allegiance to the FLAG every morning. Kids nowadays have nothing to guide them in public school.
Pray about these things. If the Holy Spirit does not confirm, then so be it.
Feel free on your heart...
Then the apostle movement.
My former Pastor was an anointed teacher/prophet of Bible. He was declared a bishop. Started wearing bishop clothing. He went on trips to evangelize Africa. Met witchdoctors, saw pots of icky stuff that people threw cig butts on as a form of sacrifice, etc. Long story shortened, he came back changed. His parents didn't live up to his idea of holiness. Somehow he renounced Christianity's teachings and left his church after being renounced by Oral Roberts and others.
Now he's the pastor of a church he formed and he no longer believes in hell. He believes we are living in hell now. His Christian wife divorced him, took the kids.
What a waste. He's not my Pastor now.
He's on my prayer list. If the Holy Spirit says to stop, then I will.
We have to have some discernment in these last days. It is right to ask the Holy Spirit for the gift of discerning of spirits: God,
Man, evil spirits. Especially now. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you. The Bible says that evil will wax worse and worse in these final days. 2nd Timothy 3:13
Do not despair. Cast all your cares on God.
Yes, you are correct. Evidence of evil is all around us; however, sin is gone. The KJVBible gives us the history of the days of the Creation, it is not about man. It is about other dimensions, using things which can be easily understood, to enlighten us about things we cannot understand.
He came in his fathers name, literally!
His Fathers name is Yahuah.
And his name is like his fathers, Yahusha.
Yahu, meaning the Father.
Sha, means saves.
Put them together and Yahusha means Yahuah saves or Yahuah's Salvation.
Jesus means absolutely nothing!
Acts 4:10-12
10then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the NAME of Yahusha
of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom Yahuah raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
11Yahusha is the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.'
12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved."
The letter J was only invented 400 years ago making it impossible for the English name Jesus to be the Hebrew name of the Messiah.
Christian Bibles use the false name Jesus Christ.

this is probably one of the best chapters in proverbs as well as in the Bible it really helped me with a problem i have been dealing with im not gonna say of course but please read this chapter and enjoy it

Heavenly Father, In the name of Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, bless us all so we may endure during hard times like these. We ask you for your protection and warmth. We ask you to watch over our loved ones. We ask you to embrace all those who have lost their lives. We ask you for forgiveness for our sins. We ask you for your Wisdom to make the right decisions going forward. Guide us in our task to rebuild society in your image. Amen.
I greet you in name Our Lord Jesus Christ. Hope you're well.
I am a new Christian, I gave my life to Our Lord nearly 2 years ago and it's been the best thing I have ever done. I've had joy and peace in my life since then.
I was baptised many years ago, but because of my immaturity I went back to sin.
The answer to your question " how to get closer to The Messiah " First of all the bible says " For whoever shall call in the name of the Lord shall be saved" Rom 10:13
Believe, that God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Then you have to be baptised.
Acts 2:38 Peter said, Repent, and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
A few more scriptures for you to look at:
Ephesians 2:8-9
2 Timothy 2:15
1 John 1:9
Romans 6:23
1 John 5:13
Mark 16:16
Romans 10:9-10
Hope these scriptures will help and give you a good start to getting closer to Jesus Christ our Saviour.
God Bless you, and I will pray Trevor that you will get the wisdom & knowledge for God's Words.
Time. Force. Action. Matter.
It's already discovered that the universe is moving away from earth.
I believe as described in Ezekiel 28 and Genesis, that something huge hit the earth. The earth was void; dark. Lucifer (before he was named satan) was the Big Bang (my guess). No one has been able to determine how long Lucifer and the 1/3 of the evil angels who were thrown to earth were in the void; creating pre-adamic people's, dinosaurs; all we have about it, is bones, How long? Time had not been set in motion YET.
Time was created for man, otherwise we'd live forever. Next God created Light. Jesus said that He is the Light of the world. In beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. God the Father, Jesus the Son & the Holy Spirit ARE the LET US in verse 26.
I think there would be much knowledge put together rightly if scientists (some of them) would accept that Creation makes more sense, than evolution with no God it. Early scientists were Christian, fascinated with what they were discovering about earth. Even I can see why satan was upset with God receiving the credit. He lost his deed to planet earth at the Cross of Jesus; the Son of God. All Satan is now is a destroyer of the life that comes from God. He tried to get permission to kill Job, but God would not permit! He thought he had killed Jesus, but Jesus was resurrected and that was recorded by many witnesses alive then. Thanks to the Pharisees that had Roman guards posted by Jesus's tomb till Sunday. Jesus's tomb is on display every day..empty!
The Book of Revelation is Truth and a final Battle will be fought between Jesus and Satan. It's all going to happen as written.
I ask all unbelieving scientists WHY wouldn't you want to live eternally in New Jerusalem, and see, study...what happens NEXT?! Why wouldn't you want to meet the CREATOR of everything? He'd love to meet you :)
Rather, your declaration that 'Jesus died on the Cross for the sins of mankind shows that sin is no more in existence', is the more concerning to me. At least on this score, you are referring to known facts of man's inherent wickedness & rebellion to God, & his need of a Saviour to deal with the sin question. However, according to your understanding, at the Cross, sin of man was dealt with, thereby removing sin altogether from the world, hence no further punishment for it. Am I correct? How did you arrive at this, considering that the evidence of man's wickedness is all around & growing. Then how do you account for this rampant wickedness when 'sin no longer exists'? Do you think that there could be some connection between the two? Or are our personal sins & crimes in society deserve another designation & of no further interest to the Godhead? I could go further, but some rhetorical questions only to you, if I may: how do you account for sin = aberrations of mind or in action that may come up each day in your life? Do they exist? Do you give it a name? How do you deal with it? Is there a consequence to them? Thank you.
I have considered of late, that when our Lord comes back for us, how does He locate each one of us & gather us together unto Him? Surely, His Spirit Who indwells the purchased of God, will return to the Son bringing the wheat with Him to the barn, while the tares are taken for burning. 2 Thes 2:6,7: "and now ye know what withholdeth that He might be revealed in His time..For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only He Who now letteth will let, until He be taken out of the way". I can't help but see this passage referring to the Holy Spirit being taken away at the appointed time from His Work on Earth; and if He must needs go, so must we also who have been indwelt & sealed by Him. What a blessd hope & revelation awaits us.
in Genesis 21:18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. The Lord himself said he would make of him a great nation. There are around 200 - 300 million Arabs in the world and looks like the Lord kept his promise to Ishmael.
There is less than 15 million Jews in the world per the Jewish almanac. So who is blessed of the Lord and a great nation? Looks to me that the Lord kept his promise to Ishmael. I am no fan of Islam and know it is a false theology as is Judaism that also rejects the Lord Jesus as messiah or Christ.
1 Corinthians 16:22 - If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema (CURSED) Maranatha.
DO JEWS LOVE JESUS OR ARE THEY CURSED? Just curious is all.
Acts Chapter 9
1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.
8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,
12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
So how does God treat such sin? My sense in this is that He treats it as any other sin. Is one sin greater than another, considering that even the 'smallest' sin of impatience or bending the truth, makes us sinners & disqualifies us from Heaven? But thanks be to Him, for His forgiveness to us for ALL our sins. Then if one chooses to remarry while the other spouse is still alive (& enter into an adulterous relationship with another), then God would forgive, but He only knows what the may be the consequence of that decision & relationship.
Please note: my dots shown in my first comment represent Greek words for fornication & adultery, which this Site's checker deems are Words not allowed. But they are different words that are use to describe the different relationships in different settings.
If a divorce, then I understand that both parties are to remain unmarried because of one of God's bases of creation ( Mt 19:3-9) & therefore God doesn't recognize divorce, as both man & wife are one unit (= one flesh) before Him & divorce will break that union ( Lk 16:18). That is, the first marriage is still valid & a divorce makes it adultery. The only way a marriage can be broken is because of the death of one spouse.
Then the matter: what if the man didn't want a divorce, but the wife left him? Or, he had to leave her because of her fornication? For the first question, we're talking about divorce, where the implication is that, even if the man didn't want it, he would still need to give his assent to it, or else divorce cannot legally occur. Even in this instance, the man would need to remain unmarried (or vice versa if it was the wife that didn't want a divorce). Or (2nd question), if for her fornication ( Mt 5:32;15:19) : the word used is '.....' = sex prior to the marriage (i.e. if that act was committed before the lawful marriage to the man); e.g. ( Mt 1:19); Joseph considered 'unhitching' from Mary because of her supposd infidelity ('.....'). Whereas the word '.....' = adulterous relationship is within the bonds of wedlock. Any union with another after the first union has been recognized & consummated, is regarded as divorce, which God does not recognize. (see following comment).
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord. The word humble in James 4:10 is a command, but it's in the Passive Voice. It is literally be humbled in the sight of the Lord. That's what it would literally read.
Every time there is a command for to be humbled in the scriptures, it's always in the Passive Voice which means submit to God's humbling process. He humbles us.
You see, if I humble myself and bring myself before God, that's pride. It would be like "Here I am Lord, your humble servant. I have come humbly before you!" And the Lord is probably going "Let's try that again because I can't accept that."
So when God brings us low, we are supposed to submit to it. And then the promise is that He shall lift you up.
If you start at James 4:7, and keep in mind that these are Jewish believers who are in difficult and hard situations. They are afflicted. They are mourning. They are weeping. And they are attempting to change their circumstances into laughter and joy in order to encourage themselves.
The command is let yourself be afflicted, let yourself mourn, let yourself weep, let your joy turn into heaviness, and your laughter into mourning.
In other words, take the low road. We all want to feel good. We all want to feel encouraged. We all want to think positive. But James is saying take the low road.
If you're in affliction, and choose affliction and mourning, weeping and heaviness, and mourning so that you can experience the grace of God rather than attempting to in your own human resources make yourself a happier person and make yourself feel better about yourself, that's the road to be on.
He's not saying that you should not feel good about yourself. He's just saying choose the difficult road. Don't keep trying to get out of it. God is humbling you for a reason. He's bringing you low so that you come to Him.
(There's rules, people) First start in Ezekiel chapter 3:10-11, 17-27. Then 13:1-15. Notice the WOE on verse 3.
Acts 2:17-18; John 6:63; 1 Corinthians 2;12, 14:31, 14:1, 13:9, 12:4. Revelation 11:3; 1 John 4:3, Romans 12:4-7
Poor Ezekiel; he was sent to the House of Israel. Prophetic ministry is just as then. It's serious when you speak in the Name of the Lord. Anything spoken that is of the flesh...will not be confirmed. Be prayerful.
"Thus saith the Lord" is serious business.
