I would be carefull to see the sabbath in hebrews 4,. our understanding of a church day to gather and worship god is not what hebrews 4 is dealing with . separate the word rest and try tu see what did on that day.

Verse 18, chapter 5, We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not, but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. V.19, And we know that we ARE OF GOD, and the whole world lieth in wickedness! Finishes the whole sin thing!!!

Our hearts sometimes condemn us but let us have confidence, 3:19 and hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
3:20 for if our heart condemn us, god is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
3:21 beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward god.
be confident god has forgiven all...all your sins. if god didnt provide a way to remove your future sin he would'nt be able to assure your eternal life or everlasting confidence in him. although you may do sin he has removed you from the punishment required by that sin. you are no longer under the law of the flesh to be enslaved by it. praise god, you are free for life

Vs 9 now makes a lot of sense, whosoever is born of god doth not commit sin; for his seed (god's seed, christ) remaineth in him

9 you): and he (christ) cannot sin, because he (you)is born of god. praise god you cannot sin because christ remains in you by his promise of eternal life. i once declared to my bible study class that they could not sin even if they thought they could. that they were going to heaven like it or not. sound coo coo? once christ takes away your sin he also takes away your capability to sin, 1st by placing christs righteousness in you,2nd by removing you from the law of the flesh, 3rd by placing you under the law of grace. if you could sin it would be on christ

Mankind was aso manifest in the flesh. We were all born into spirit, fallen into a sinful flesh. Only our Father is to wear a sinless flesh (without sin). Flesh is a covering of our natural state, spirit. Gn 1:26 and Jn 4:24, confirm that we wre made into spirit and put on flesh later in Genesis. God can not be only one in the old testament, then become three into one in the new testament. God say He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Also He says don't add or subject to the word. Preaching of the trinity is against God's word, and our Father is smart enough to put correct messages in His Word

Faith in christ has removed you from punishment from the law, you are now under grace and under the law of grace where grace will always abound and cover your sin, vs 5 know that he was manifested to take away our sins. vs 6 whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: not because of what you've done , understand vs 7 let no man deceive you , now we can do righteous acts, he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. before this time romans says there is none righteous no not one .no one would ever say this includes christ. now christ, is in you and you in him.vs 8 for this purpose the son of god was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. sins gone in you
  • DICK - In Reply on 1 John 3 - 6 years ago
Have no fear of this scripture. believe it as you would any other scripture . believe christ has taken all your sin away. go back to verse one answer what your thinking about later verses. god has forgiven all your sins. the love of god is shed on us by forgiving all - all- your sins by placing christ in you and his righteousness , simply your record and refection before god the father looks perfect regardless of your actions. you now cannot stain christs righteousness. see vs 2 we shall be like him. vs 3 if your hope and faith is in christ your purity is like christs. vs 4 if you still think you transgress the law you break the law , therefore you should think christ has removed you from

Please read Chpt. 2, verses 21-24, Americans cannot vote for a man who is married to another man. I believe you can vote for a man who believes he has a different sexual orientation, but marriage is a different subject. Are we going to have a President who has a husband as First Men of the White House and not believe that is not against verses 21-24?

Does the USA believe that God is not going to act when it is against His Word? The wife is defined as Women, not another man. Is each voter, the Republicans, they will use this until Hell freezes over. We are a Christian Nation, and to violate this may be the beginning of the end for the United States of American. Pray is needed now.

In the case above and in 2020, JEHOVAH /GOD is the JUDGE, JURY, and EXECUTIONER. In 2020 we are a repeat of the above through our evil-fruits produced globally by cities /nations. As above we are reaping what we sowed. Nevertheless, individually each of us through JESUS the SON OF GOD can secure our personal ETERNAL SALVATION. See John 3:16-21.

Linda, you are so right. Any person who votes for a man who is married (not God's Law) to a man is sin. Many Americans, especially Democrats who vote for a certain individual (man) married to a man is in violation of God's Law. You can't go to certain communities who worship God and tell them to violate their belief to vote for a man married to a man because of your political beliefs. Which is the most important your life?

I was blessed by your life experience about evil coming through those you tried to help. This is wisdom & shines a light on my situation. I will be cautious. I have helped as much as I can. I believe I should step back. The Lord has blessed me with a safe & peaceful old age, which I cherish. Thank you for sharing, Patty.

Christmas and Easter are both pagan in origin. God does not tell us to celebrate these events.

Gn 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Now we have to find out what God physical appearance is. So we go to Jn 4:24 God is Spirit. This will be our original appearance, God made us to look like His likeness. We were all made in spirit before we were covered in flesh and blood. The us in the beginning of this verse, God is talking with His angels. It really doesn't say when God made the Angels, and if we are going to keep God only one. We have to believe that God was talking with His angels. God was talking with His Word, that don't even make since. God talking with His angels, better fits and keeps God singular and not a pagan. Quit trying to mak Him a pagan

Will said Michael, But the real antichrist was here when Jesus walked the Earth. The first antichrist was Abraham's first son Ishmael the son of Hagar. The antichrist in the world today is the Islamic belief. I believe the first beast in Revelation 13 is the Islamic Nation and the second beast is the catholic church. The reason I believe this is Jesus said when he was walking the Earth that the antichrist was already here. I believe this is the way God gave it to me.

Jn 1/1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Now for the life of me how can anyone get more then one person here. The only way is someone is trying real hard to make more then one God. When you speak is it not your words that come out of your mouth, not another person coming out of your mouth? Maybe when I speak it's someone else voice coming from my mouth. That wouldn't make it another person though. The Bible is self taught thru the Spirit of truth if you allow God's word speak to you. Why does everyone want to make our only one God into a pagan? If we want to see what look like when He walked the face of the earth, look at yourself. Gn 1

Matt 28:19 Baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. When they did as they were told by Jesus, Peter said in Acts 2:38 Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and yea shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. So the singular name that is mention in Matt 28:19 is answer in Acts 2:28. Which would be line up with the word of God, and God is still one God and there isn't any beside Him. Just one. When your dividing the scripture, you have to divide correctly, God always says He is One, never says He is three. Trinity was made by a pagan worshiper, not a christian. Catholic church accept it 245AD.

Trinity is not in the Bible, however the word Godhead is.
God made man in HIS IMAGE and the Bible says man has
    1. BODY, (is not your)
    2. SOUL (is not your)
    3. SPIRIT (is not your Body)
    3 parts = 1 man

1 Thess 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your
whole SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our
    Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
God was manifest in the flesh,

A lasting of your days become a finishing of your life. What did you do wrong that brought you to the point of giving up what you wanted to do. God kept handing you a easier life, but you did not deserve a easy life was your thinking. Not having family to show you-- only hard knocks. Believing you could help others-- building them up. Then in the end they took not only your years and hard work, but the stress that slowly left a toll on you.
God was always there. He was strong in your life from the beginning. You wrote what you saw. The natives saw it. It was very spiritual...your calling. Helping others needy- before yourself. For God is now calling me home! So challenge myself to the end!

When I read verses 13-16, it makes me think of Moses reflecting the Old Testament, and how he wasn't able to reach Canaan. That someone else had to carry the people into the promised land. The law that was written in stone can never be perfectly followed. But, Joshus who lead the rest of the way into Canaan is in a way Jesus-like figure. Jesus is the New Testament and through him and his 11th commandment to love God, with all our hearts, body, mind and soul and to love our brethern as ourselves and with his atoning and redeeming sacrifice we are saved through Faith in Him. Not by the laws of stone, but by the laws of the heart, mercy, not sacrifice.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

A sweet aroma/savor to the Lord, I believe speaks of a deed that is done freely because you love the Lord. It is done in faith to honor Him. It is pleasing and desired by God. Genesis 8:21, calls it a soothing aroma. It is an act of devotion, or love.

Carol read the Bible for its not what someone thinks but what sayeth the Lord. Luke 15:11-32
    II Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
