And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Eastward from where? Some say Africa but Africa would be south of Eden. On old maps of the Holy Land, it has a Eden(not sure if its the same). If its the same Eden it is eastward from the Holy Land.

Why didn't God stop here, at the end of chapter 1 of Genesis? Well, maybe after He created Eve in the next chapter. There was no killings, we had plenty to eat and peace. Animals didn't eat man or each other and we didn't eat them or harm them. Animals and Adam ate vegetables and fruit. It was truely a Garden of Eden and a paradise.

Herodias , indeed should be an example unto all men who fear God! Especially those who have power. Herod was weak, in the subconscious idea that he could tempt God while serving mammon! Anyone who thinks that they can play this game will in the end loose! Herod lost everything even his kingdom because of his lust.
