The only way man can stay on the straight and narrow path is for him to repent of all his sins with sincerity. When God has judged man sincere, He will Baptize man with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of his prayer language. Man must pray in his sustenant prayer language to know what God's will is for his life. Man must submit to the Holy Spirit by giving up his sins. 100 reliance on the God.

Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? (Except ye, being witnessed by many, know of them whom ye confess not.) It is written, Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. For the love of money is the root of all evil: Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

Verse 3~Even though we do not know exactly what the Garden of Eden looked like we can contrast it to the wilderness mentioned here and conclude that it was a beautiful park-like Paradise.
  • BSP on Romans 8 - 7 years ago
The Mosaic Law was perfect and as such imperfect humans could never fully fulfill that law and the result would always end in death. The Law of the Christ offered forgiveness of sins based on the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ and those exercising faith in the ransom would have an opportunity to gain everlasting life.

I enjoy reading the story of Job, it shows how loving, patient and kind our God is. Even today He allows us to go through trials some by our own choosing but like Job He allows us test through trials to help us to trust Him. These test our alligiance to whom do we serve. Inspite of what we see or do or ho throughGod loves us and that will never change because His mercy is everlasting.

  • Gary Olsen on Isaiah 28 - 7 years ago
Much of the chapter is about judgment. God is the destroying storm, the one who trods those who err under his feet, the one who eats up the glorious beauty or pride of men. He is the spirit of judgment, the overflowing scourge that passes through and he who sweeps away the refuge of lies.

  • Anon on Job 1 - 7 years ago
This has always disturbed me. What is the reason to make a man suffer so much, and kill so many? What does God gain from this, besides proving a point to Satan? I understand God gives Job more than what he had back, but I don't think it's worth the suffering. I would rather live in a nice house and be happy than live in a nicer house with PTSD and depression because everyone/thing I loved is gone.

Justin Rampley, another good example is Zacharias in Luke 1. Zacharais doubted Gabriel upon the news of Elisabeth bearing a son because of their age (vs. 7-19) so Zacharais was made not to speak (vs. 20-22) until this be fulfilled (vs. 57)
  • Sarah on 2 Samuel 8 - 7 years ago
Justin Rampley, Scripture always confirms Scripture. Study the Bible circumspectly (as a whole) it helps clarify questions such as this. What you have noted is explained by looking at the genealogy in 1 Chronicles 6. Several times it repeats these names because it was common for children to be named after their parents (unless one dishonored God, then they stopped naming after that person).
  • I Am that Michael Isaac Dale on Matthew 6 - 7 years ago
The error of your wickedness is seen as ye contradict the very Scriptures ye speak against (that the Scripture might be fulfilled.) For the Holy Ghost, with the resurrected Son, being in the flesh this very day; rejoice in pleasing the Holy Father by praying for them given him. As it is written, I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Peter launching out, advise of Jesus. Caught his biggest draught. Only to be told by Jesus, that he will be catching Men instead. Peter just hit the Jackpot, and now he has to change Carreers. Thank God for his obedience to the commands of Jesus. Obedience is better than Sacrifice. When you think of Pentecost. Three thousand Souls were saved. Jesus knew what He could accomplish through Peter.
