Hello Randy, just saying Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Some say He's this or that, making confusion. The Father, himself, says This is my beloved Son ,in whom I am well pleased. If The Father states He is well pleased with Christ, His Son, what is man to say that He isn't His Son? One must be careful.

"But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:" Rabbinic Judaism of Jesus' day was a man-made system carefully contrived to enslave its adherents to hypocrisy, and completely shut them out from the knowledge of God in Christ.

"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way: and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:6 "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." John 1:29 Christ died for our sins ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES! The Lord Jesus told the Jews who did not believe on Him; "If you believe not that I AM, you shall die in your sins."

"Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." It is God's intention, in giving us all His Word, that we know and understand Him; and have all capability to walk in truth and love.

God is ever winning battles for the Israelites. Elisha was the vessel through which God spoke to the three kings. If we obey God, He will speak to us through the Holy Spirit and win our battles for us.

Matthew 23:13 "But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in." God commands all men everywhere to repent; the doom of the world is coming because men do not repent; there are many hypocrites and impostors misleading many by false teaching and do not repent.

  • A disciple on Ezekiel 3 - 9 years ago
God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his wicked ways, quit sinning, and do right; that he may live. If the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits wickedness, except he repent and cease the sinning and return to the LORD, he will die in his sins, and perish; worse than if he'd never known the way of righteousness. The soul that sins shall die.

IN RESPONSE: I do not fear death, it should be that death fears me; well, death should fear The Living Savior Who Lives within me.

At the age of 20 years old I had to have 'open heart surgery'. I was confident of where I would go in the possibility of a random medical complication. While laying on the cart, waiting to be pushed into the back room for prep work by the doctors, I had complete sound mind and peace of spirit about the matter. What was the worst thing that could have happened? - - I could have died. GREAT!!
  • A disciple on 1 John 3 - 9 years ago
Bruce; Maybe YOU cannot quit sinning; and maybe the Church you go to teaches that; but the Scriptures tell us very plainly God's command to repent! How can one be still sinning, and of the devil, while being a new creation in Christ? How do you square being born of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, and born from above through the Spirit, yet still a disobedient rebel at the same time?

Stevish: The Chain Reference is a great Bible. So much information. I love that Bible.
  • Insight777 on Matthew 11 - 9 years ago
V11, John the Baptist was less than Jesus. John was shown how to cleanse sin, he had Holy Spirit but not all the powers of God. He was baptized, forgiven of sin. It is possible that he harbored negative thoughts towards people that refused baptism and true Gospel.Thoughts of frustration and weakness of his own power to help sinners is short of perfection. Jesus is perfect, his kingdom is perfect.

Does Gen 14 establish prelaw tithing as a doctrine? Abraham tithed the spoils of war. And then gave the other 90% back to the King of Sodom. Not according to Numbers 31: 27-30 7 Gen 28 Jacob vowed to tithe but never did so how does that establish tithing as a doctrine. 2CORN 9:7 Necessity: imposed either by the circumstances, or by law of duty regarding to one's advantage, custom, argument.

  • Insight777 on Matthew 13 - 9 years ago
V52 is important. Jesus tells us the Bible, written by scribes is impartial, telling us both what has been believed in the past and what will be revealed in the future. That is why Jesus asked his followers if they understood him. Follow only Jesus as he walked the earth, that is true understanding of salvation. Everything else is letting someone else have control of your life.

to 6/30/2017 Comment by "insight777" (cont.); They couldn't cast a stone at the woman because they were all convicted by the consciences, because they all had sins; and had no right to condemn her. The wages of sin is death; which the Lord Jesus took with our sins to the cross, to satisfy the judgment of God toward sin and to save us from our sins, at the same time! We release each other for love!

to 6/30/2017 Comment by "insight777" about Matthew Chapter 12: Abel, who was the first to do offer a slaughtered lamb in coming to present himself to God, was setting in order his accounting of himself to God, with a token of the absolutely fundamental fact of his existence; that of the LORD's Anointed coming in flesh to destroy the works of the devil, and save man from his sins.
  • Insight777 on Matthew 25 - 9 years ago
What men say is Holy on earth is open to their religious interpretation. Some religions say something is Holy when others say it is not. Fact or fiction, that "holiness" does exist, lie or truth, all deal with people that do not agree. Physical response to what is spiritual belief is what Jesus taught against. Jesus wants people to believe truth but to not kill people that do not understand truth.
  • Insight777 on Matthew 21 - 9 years ago
V16, interesting way Jesus expressed that the praise he was receiving was taught from the Priests. The people in the temple were raised to believe the Son of David would be their Christ. The miracles Jesus preformed were because he is the Son of God, not David. That does not mean the people were correct that Christ is from David but they were correct in seeing Jesus is Christ. Priests want control

I read Psalm 91 every morning and every night. It's a Psalm of protection and I always ask God to keep my family and me covered under His feathers. God is REAL and will keep us from all hurt, harm, and danger if we trust Him and I trust Him.

The perfect ending for the most beautifully written book ever to describe the majesty, magnificence, loveliness, kindness, undeserved mercy, gentleness, tireless care and outright love that perfectly describes our great and glorious ELOHIM who even gave us his one and only Son to show us the way and provide us all with eternal life if we will but receive him as our Lord and Saviour.

    Thank You !
  • Richard on 1 Samuel 13 - 9 years ago
1 Sam 13.1: I wonder if this verse is saying that two years after defeating the Ammonites (11:11ff) Saul now turns to deal with the Philistines. His son Jonathan heads a company of 1000 warriors and defeats the Philistine garrison at Gibeah (near Michmash v4). The meaning of Jonathan's name is 'Yahweh's gift' and this he proves to be especially as David's closest friend.

  • A disciple on 1 John 3 - 9 years ago
Randy; "Except you be converted...REPENT and be converted, you shall not see the kingdom of heaven." Everyone knows what REPENT means! If someone quits smoking, then they do not smoke any more! Jesus has paid for our sins on the cross, not for us to continue sinning; but that we should be forgiven and reconciled to God, and MADE NEW MEN! Do what you need to do NOW and be DONE WITH SINNING forever!
