Verse 24 reminds me of the principle that you get out of something how much you put into something.

Faith works by love, and love works no evil toward his neighbor. If we say we have faith in Jesus, but are still sinning and breaking the commandments, we lie and are not of the truth; but if we keep His commandments we love one another and keep ourselves by His grace and by walking in the Spirit. If someone falls into sins of the flesh or error in doctrine we have a duty to seek his restoration.

Men like Ahab surround themselves with their own kind of prophets, which tell them what they want to hear, and encourage them on fools' errands; not knowing, and hating to ever hear, that God is still conducting the whole affair from His throne in heaven; and is actually working these things out for their destruction. God Almighty is God of order and looks at the heart of men, man character qualiftions according to our Lord. Who able to teach the word plus live it in there lives. If You can rule your household then you can not lead the flock.

V40, When a man steals from another then the one stolen from has become a slave to that man. The money worked for and earned now belongs to a man that did nothing but crime. The time spent earning the money can never be returned, the wages gone, the work done for a slaver thief.

If we truly believe in Jesus Christ and have faith in him and show this faith by our actions, we can have the privilege of never dying.

My favorite verse is 3-16. When I had been down as low as a man can get, I started looking for God. I had to sink to my lowest depth. I could not understand, had always been my own man doing what I was big enough to do. Reading this verse so how opened my eyes to the truth that I was not my own man, I was a child of God and He loved me when no one else did. I am thankful for what He has done.

V40, interesting that the Jews saved a thief. The Jews were thieves when leaving Egypt. When someone borrows something they refuse to return, that is theft. Steal from a Jew, the punishment is death. Deuteronomy 24:7 But if a Jew steals from a Jew when caught he just has to pay double, no death sentence.

Verses 5 and 6 tell us not to belittle discipline or give up when disciplined. We should humble take the discipline and learn from our mistakes.

Verses 17 to 19 bring out how many people have decided to choose their own degraded course in life. God did not purpose for humans to live the way they do now in a degraded world.

V7, The Apostles said Jesus taught in parables. I think the Comforter is symbolic for the Bible.
The Bible is carried through the centuries for spiritual comfort and truth. Jesus gives us this path to follow him until the end of days. Jesus will return because God loves the human creation He made. Because of evil lust for power a great final war created by man destroys the earth and all on it.

In verse 7 we can see that Satan and his demons did not willingly leave heaven. There was a war that had to be fought and Jesus hurled Satan and the demons out of heaven.

V47,48 So Important! Jesus is not coming back killing anyone. He returns to rescue only and those that are not his followers will be left behind. Jesus will never hurt them. People will die because of a terrible, unwinnable war that they allowed to happen. Humanity destroys itself because this is no ordinary war, this war destroys the ecology of earth that man depends upon to live.

Verse 1 is encouraging those who are married to show good conduct by applying Bible principles no matter the situation. Actions can speak much louder than words.

In reading the comments I am disturbed at the lack of relevance to these verses, and insensitivity to the spirit of the scriptures. Some seemed to have missed these facts: Shechem loved Dinah and was willing to make things right. Shechem, Hamor, and their men were circumcised. Jacob's own commentary on their actions was "Ye have troubled me to make me stink among the inhabitants of the land"

Verses 18 to 21 describe the roles that each one in the family arrangement plays. When families try their best to fulfill their assigned roles and work together, this will contribute to family happiness.

We need to put on and clothe ourselves with love because it is the perfect bond of union as verse 14 brings out.
