  • Ukim Bassey on Proverbs 13 - 9 years ago
Say very little or nothing at all, and you'll hardly fall into trouble, but talk always and one day you'll destroy your life with your mouth.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 4 - 9 years ago
1 Corinth 4:15-16 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. 16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me. Paul was warning believers not to just trust anybody with the gospel. Paul was the one that was teaching the gospel the way Jesus wanted him to do. That's why Paul said follow me.
  • Nicole on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago

  • Insight777 on James 3 - 9 years ago
V12, Jesus taught James that 2 religions can not be 1 religion. Judaism does not morph into Christianity. They are completely different religions, defining God in completely different ways.
The Jews will always fight. They will fight believing, regardless of what pain and suffering they cause, they are directed by God. If that was truth no one would know the name of Jesus.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 3 - 9 years ago
1 Corinth 3:17 , I am very careful with thus verse, I know as a saved born again child of God, I should treat my body as if it were holy because the Holy Temple lives within me. If I destroy my body with the cares of this world, then Jesus will take me home to Heaven early. Praise the Lord for the Word of God to teach and instruct us in the right direction and the Holy Spirit to guided us.
  • Osmenio faner on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Genesis is a book of origins. it records the origin of our universe, the human race, sin, redemption, family life, corruption of society, the nations, different languages, and the Hebrew race. Genesis portrays Adam

V16, understand the Jews were under Roman rule and so were the Gentiles and the Christians. By Roman law the Jews could not force their laws on religions not their own. The Romans would have killed all the Jews if that was happening. A Christian could teach a gentile that was not a Jew without any punishment. Jews did not have a leg to stand on in court unless the Christians were converting Jews.
  • Insight777 on 1 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
V15, Paul is speaking of the Jews that killed their own prophets. Their Prophets that did not tell the king what he wanted to hear were killed. The king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the Lord: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil." The king did not want truth, he wanted victory and power.

We wonder how long before salvation comes. But Jesus is salvation. Have he is Savior. He has cast out Satan our enemy by His death on the cross to atone for our wins. Trust Him to forgive you. No delay necessary...now is the day of salvation.
  • Vincent Louis on Proverbs 16 - 9 years ago
One's thoughts will be established one surrenders his her works... works guided by the Ten Commandments to the Lord with total faith like the woman who touched the cloak of The Lord and was cured from her long illness of bleeding.
  • Insight777 - 9 years ago
Lords that have wrath are kings with lusts for power. GOD is all powerful. Everything on earth is already Gods possession. No man can take anything away from God regardless of how they behave. Man is not immortal. God watches behavior. Unrighteous people will be denied eternal life. That is judgement made by their own choices/actions. Immortality is possible for kind people because of Gods love.

Irene123 and Bud another helpful scripture maybe Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
  • A disciple on Revelation 3 - 9 years ago
Stevish; There is no end of [so-called] recommended Bibles and Bible Teachers. But what says the Holy Spirit in the Scriptures? "The anointing that we have from Him abides in us, and we have NO NEED that anyone teach us..." God puts teachers in the Assembly; Yes, of course! but the Word also says, that He gives understanding to the simple; and if any lack wisdom, let him ask from God who gives...

Don't let anyone tell you, you can't stop sinning, or that you can't keep God's commandments; they are liars and devil agents. Why would any servant of God teach others that disobedience is to be expected? And worse, to misuse the Holy Glad Tidings of Jesus Christ in a way that makes people think that calling one's self a Christian, should somehow exempt him from wrath for sinning! God look upon!
  • A disciple - 9 years ago
Randy (cont.); How do we stop sinning? REPENT! Make a determined action and commitment in your heart that you turn your back on the world and all your idols, and QUIT THE SINNING! You find your Bible, and get yourself some notebooks and pens for taking good notes of what your learning; and begin a regular Bible reading plan to continually be in the Word: write it down, pray it in, and work it out!

  • A disciple on 1 John 3 - 9 years ago
Randy; it looks like a number of us are concerned how best to answer your very good question; which was, "How can I stop sinning?" The reason I went directly to conversion and repentance, is because that is at the heart of our being either obedient or disobedient; which is where God looks at our innermost thoughts and intents, and whether we call upon Him in acknowledging the truth to get right.
  • Rebecca Rankin on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
Psalm 23 was my Dear Mothers Favorite . I love it too for it's reminder of the promises and protection of our Beloved Creator's plan for us which never changes day to day. Peace and comfort in difficult times.
  • A disciple on Matthew 12 - 9 years ago
"...And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath days? that they might accuse him." We should read all three accounts (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) of these things to see completely what happened. While the Lord defends the guiltless against religious impostors' hatred and hostility, He still tries to instruct those who have no heart to know the truth or any right understanding.
  • Insight777 - 9 years ago
Jesus has always been glorified in his saints, the ones that love him. This is not something that occurs out of fear for the all powerful at the end of days because of slaughter. Jesus is love and does not break the command from God to not kill. His kingdom is not here. He returns to rescue only.
