This Psalm isn't about man, this psalm is about The Lord Jesus Christ! It is prophetic in nature, It is about the revelation of God to man, through Christ Jesus, for he has declared him! What is man? And the Son of man? These are About Jesus! As said Paul in Heb 2:7, and 2:9, This is Jesus! The Heavens are made wonderfully, but nothing is as wonderful as The Lord!

This Psalm just ignites something inside of me, its different and I love how the meaning is hidden and can only be understood by those who can relate. "The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want". If the Lord is all we have then it is all we need. If we are poor in all the temporary things on earth, we are rich with our Father in Heaven. All I'm saying is, what more can we want but the Lord.

Geraldine C., 1 Samuel 2:20 has nothing to do with the Catholic and Protestant practice of giving up certain foods or pleasurable acts for 40 days what you call Ash Wed.and Easter. You are taking the word "lent" in this verse out of it's context. Fasting and repentance is holy. I see some giving up bad habits temporarily, this is not repentance.

I too learned the 23 Psalm in my youth and more recently in my older years, now age 65, I look to it for strength and promise of his peace here on Earth. This Psalm of David moves my heart and soul like no other prayer I have learned in my life. I dismissed it for many years until a Catholic workplace friend of faith had stated it is her favorite. Thank you for the synopsis of the prayer.

Irene 123 your comment about Jews and Gentiles is confusing. Jews by nature, Gentiles by nature, salvation is for the Jew first then for the Gentile. The Jews rejected him so he turned to the Gentiles. All that are saved are of one Body and one Spirit. What is the comment that" to God we are all Jews in our hearts?" Is this specific to something God has said?

Lorin, I have no interest in figuring out the "story" of Christmas, (as you called it.) I dparted from it years ago.
Proverbs 3 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding,, in all your ways, acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Be not wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil." A commandment to trust him has no room for FEELINGS

Donna Crumb - " ..... the way God spoke to His people in the O.T. ..... "; this reads as if you realize the 4 Gospels are still O.T., ..... ? That the N.T. didn't begin until the book of Acts Ch. 2. This is as far as I will take this; I'm really not into this site anymore.

For GOD's children, being offered the opportunity to walk in holiness, is a beautiful thing. Satan, a cast out foe, wants us to act barbaric and lose everything, like him. Saint's take up the offer of repentance, and live. Later Devil!

  • Lu2677 on Deuteronomy 28 - 9 years ago
Bruce,I see the problem,I hope this puts an end to it.Christ dwells in the saved person,as scripture you quoted tells us.But you said Christ is "born" in me. I don't know any scripture that says it. John 3:3;a person cannot enter God's kingdom unless he is reborn,so this makes salvation very important. But I still say the exact date a person is saved is not important, endure til the end, is.

I was looking for the phrase this week, "come out of her my people" which I entered but I
Did not get any result. Luckily I found it by myself today. I just thought you might like to
See that. I must admit I only searched the 1st page. But thinking it was such a oft quoted
Phrase I thought it would have come up quickly, even the first selected. I put in both Old and
    New testaments.

The Isarelites were fooled and they paid for their foolery. The message is for us to pray and consult God for every step we take.

Lu2677. I just feel when Jesus asks the Churches to go back to their first Love I feel he's is pleading with them to know who he is. Jesus did not hang in calvary on a aFriday. To say so makes Jesus a liar Matt 12 :40. He did not attend Easter as Herod did and was eaten by worms. Know one seems to read with understanding. This is what breaks my heart.
So I leave you with hope in you. God Bless

This is how the word of God makes sense to me. It is the most incredible book I have ever held in my hands. My studies took place while for eight years I took care of my wife. My goal was to seek truth that fit from beginning to end. I did not just instantly know these things.I sought truth and no contradictions. Jesus does not contradict the Father. These things are not against you

This is how the scriptures all fit together. The laying of the boughs before Jesus when he entered Jerusalem. These represent their temple and Jesus is their temple. What a witness to our Lord. They knew who, what, when and where Jesus is. They know who he is.Jesus Christ is our TABERNACLE. The Feast will go forever. He was here. He is not A myth. He is absolute. THESE ARE MY FEELINGS.

Luke reveals Jesus fulfillment of the solumn feast Sabbath which is the sign setting everything in order. Obviously he could not attend the beginning of the feast on the 15th day ,he was being born.It was a full moon. All of this is recorded in the Heavens. It can all be observed in the Moon phase information of the Nasa Program. All of the Apostles took this information for common knowledg
