  • Mild Bill on Psalms 4 - 9 years ago
We cannot have mercy if God is indebted to our deeds. To be set apart by the Lord is to be saved forever, never temporarily. Therein is found the gladness of our hearts. The "the sacrifices of righteousness" are for us to do what we can, when we can, in his name, to his glory, nothing to be prideful about, evermore in his service.

How come the day and night was created before the creation of the Sun and the Moon????
  • James on Deuteronomy 9 - 9 years ago
It's God who is merciful and is able to forgive not because we come with a sincere heart but because Jesus death and resurrection makes it all possible. We need to stop emphasizing what we need to do and simply look to Jesus and what he has done(death and resurrection)what he is doing(interceding for us) and what he will do(return for his children and make this world his footstool.)God bless u all
  • Anne on Proverbs 1 - 9 years ago
Parents, please raise your children and don't let the TV, social media, and celebrities do it for you. Don't be afraid to tell them "no" when they ask for something that is not good for them. Chastise them when they are wrong and above all else, let them know that Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. Spend quality time with them and tell them that you love them often. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, so make the most of the time you have with them.
  • Irene123 on John 21 - 9 years ago
Vs. 1-6; Here is another angle of these vs. that was taught on tonight at Bible study: Jesus spent 3 yrs. with the disciples, teaching them to catch men. After His crucifixion they were so discouraged - the actual fishermen went back 'into the world' of their old life, and worked ALL NIGHT and - caught nothing. Jesus came along and by obeying Him - they caught over 150! A GOOD lesson.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Luke 6 - 9 years ago
This is vintage Jesus. This chapter is laden with steps to be a TRUE Christian straight from the mouth of The Master Himself. The central message is love for God and love for others.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Judges 7 - 9 years ago
God is in control of the battle for the Israelites hence victory is always sure.
  • Iwueke christian on 1 Corinthians 8 - 9 years ago
We have only one God and Lord Jesus Christ in whom we consist. we Live in Him. Therefore We do not Live for Our selves but for Him and others. So that Christ will be lord to all. I will Not do what will offend my brother to sin. Be it meat or my action or gain. Philpians 3:7-9

  • April on Joshua 24 - 9 years ago
Irene 123:they didnt specify exactly everything they did BUT we do know there were Kings aka Pharoahs and they didn't believe in GOD,when NOAH tried to warn the people of the flood they laughed at him and mocked him, called him names, what ever these people were doing had absolutely nothing to do with GOD,so everything but that was going on,Only HE knows how to believe in futures,he is ALMIGHTY GOD.
  • April on Joshua 23 - 9 years ago
I do feel it's sad that churches are to be more to the spiritual aspect of GOD and his SON,but as we come to learn not every house is the same and not all are glorifying GOD,and the inquity of others will be on them individually but will be on the ones who lead them astray 2 they WILL have their blood on their hands, and I asure you NOONE will be LAUGHING,smiles will turn into tears and sorrow Amen
  • April on Joshua 22 - 9 years ago
Charlie frank:I understand what you are saying they did just REACT but I think that after all they have been through they were so scared that the inquity of this altar would DAMN THEM ALL,sin was to be kept out of these peculiar childrens lives,GOD chose them for this special gift and they did the first thing they thought they had to do,but it worked out in the end, thankfully, later some do stray..

  • April on Joshua 21 - 9 years ago
I hope they thanked GOD every day,man can you imagen being ble to hear him,and be taught directly from our father,WOW,what an honor they surly did have, and to be a chosen servant and to have such a close relationship to him,Idk about you but it makes me smile,I know we don't get to see him like they did BUT we can have FAITH,which was required even when they did hear him or see him,I hopeALLISWELL
  • Irene123 on John 16 - 9 years ago
We shouldn't, as Christians, be on here to vilify anyone or their belief. There used to be an anachronism - WWJD? You saw it in lanyards, t-shirts, purses, everywhere. It seems we have rather forgotten about it. But it something we need to - remember. Jesus said, Be ye followers of me. He spoke to the Pharisees to 'try' to reach them - and He did reach a few of them, Acts 15:5.
  • Irene123 on John 8 - 9 years ago
Levell - Lk. 23:47 - even the centurion, who helped crucify Jesus, said, " ... certainly this was a righteous man." Jesus' words, that he did nothing of Himself referred to His flesh man; but as His Father taught Him, He (Jesus) did those things. It's the same with us; when we have God's spirit in us ( Acts 2:38) it's HIS spirit that does the works, speaks the words of wisdom from His word.

  • JP on Zechariah 4 - 9 years ago
Our Lord Jesus does use His servants mightily in His marvelous work to do His will. We so need the gift of Gods' Holy Spirit working daily in our lives. Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. The principalities and powers of this dark world we face today can only be overcome by Gods Holy Spirit working in us to maintain the temple of the only living God Jesus Christ
  • Irene123 on John 8 - 9 years ago
Levell - Probably you won't understand this: Jesus being lifted up was His reference to His crucifixion. Then, in Acts ch. 1 He ascended to heaven; then Actsv2:37-38 (men and brethren, WHAT SHALLWE DO?) they began to realize, after Peter's message that they needed to turn to HIM for salvation. " ... be baptized in the NAME of Jesus Christ ... "; Acts 4:12 - for there is none other name ..."

  • April on Joshua 20 - 9 years ago
I found something to hopefully clarify,Deuteronomy Ch.4vs42,That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live.Deuteronomy,Ch.19vs3-5,talks more about this matter.it does say neighbor, that's why I figured its not like you go to battle and kill them,it's an accident, spoken of hereAmen

The fourth kingdom sounds like USA...

And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, THEY shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
    Who are THEY...?
  • Lu2677 on Joshua 14 - 9 years ago
April, Job 21:30 "day of destruction" is the day of the Lord. God reserves the wicked for this day. "They are brought forth to the day of wrath." God brings them forth,it is his wrath. I declare his word, his word is truth. God is Love, kind, Wisdom, but I contend; he teaches us about his judgement and anger.
May I suggest you look at def. of "tyrant"in Mirriam Webster dictionary.
  • Debbie on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
I have survived 23 yrs after Cancer and 20 years of those years were after losing a daughter in a car accident as well. The 23rd Psalms was what I held on to. My daughter was a Christian and I KNOW WE WILL SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN SOON. I AM 63 but will endure as long as God want me HERE. Believe that Jesus Christ is our Hope.
