Lu2677 I have been away from access. In Luke 1:5 Luke tells us what week this story begins . I gave you this information. When he arrived home Elizabeth conceived and 6 months later she was with Mary. This is late December if you do the math. Forty weeks later Jesus is born on the Feast of Tabernacles. This is the math. As you can see it is 3rd grade math. It is just no one wants to do it.

  • Peter A. Okebukola on Joshua 7 - 9 years ago
God is a God of justice. Achan paid the price for disobedience.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
The great King of Heaven-Jesus, is preparing to come down to this lowly, filthy, sins-soaked earth on His mission of redemption. Mary is blessed to be the channel of His birth and Elisabeth to bring forth John, the precursor prophet. All these plans have been in place since the beginning of time. Praise God.
  • Lu2677 on Deuteronomy 28 - 9 years ago
Bruce, what testimony did I give that caused you to judge that I am "in serious trouble"? Care to quote my comments that brings you to this judgment? And if you care about my situation you will answer my questions so that I can repent. I testified that "I abide in Christ", was it this one? Did you judge me using a godly standard, or your own?
  • Apolinar Gomez on Mark 16 - 9 years ago
My favorite chapter is 16 and verse 15 which says "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved he that believes not shall be damed
Two requirrments for salvation one is to believe and the other is baptism in JESUS name
  • Claudina on Psalms 55 - 9 years ago
We should place every worry and challenge upon our lord, and he will take care of it all. However we do not have to question the results because what he does is holistic

Note that Joseph was obedient to God and took Mary into his house when God said to. Obedience to God's commands is important for everyone, whether it's stopping sins of the flesh, which is vital, or choosing friends and conversation that edifies the soul, and keeps us clean in His Spirit. Obedience to God goes with trust and faith. It's taking the narrow path to salvation.
  • Peter P. Maginde on Acts 5 - 9 years ago
what one sees in chapter 5 is the light against dark. the Holy Spirit of God will always be true and right. we are surrounded from all sides by temptation but Jesus will always deliver us if and when we ask Him to help us,AMEN. No chain or prison bar can stop our Lord from visiting us anywhere any time, true.
  • Donna cromb on Matthew 1 - 9 years ago
The fact that Joseph saw a vision when the angel said that Mary was conceived by the Holy Ghost is a common part of the way God spoke to His people in the Old Testament. God spoke to His prophets, see all the times in a search at the top of the page of where it says search key words for more information on this. God speaks to all Holy Spirit filled believers even today. Pray in the Spirit daily.
  • Donna cromb on Matthew 1 - 9 years ago
Matthew gives Christ's genealogy to prove He is of David's line and from Abraham. Later in Luke it has different names due to spelling in Greek and goes to Adam. This is not considered a lie! Jesus is of David's line because Joseph is a son of David, called so by God's angel. He is of David's line through Joseph just as God promised David, that his line would be King forever. Thank you God.
  • Trevor on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
The spirit led me to Psalm 91 yesterday morning, The promises that this chapter houses were just what I needed , having recently being diagnosed with MND, my entire household and my church and fellow believers are praying for a miracle, in Jesus name. We cancel the doctors report and wait on God. Amen.
  • Lorin on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
    Lu2677,
I did not mean this in anyway against you. These are obstacles you will encounter in witnessing God's truth.I have been rebuked by many in the truth that Jesus Christ is our salvation as well as the salvation for the Jews. He is our TABERNACLE as well as theirs. This all fits biblically. I hope you have this understanding now. I will check back in a week or so . God Bless you brother

  • Andy on John 17 - 9 years ago
We see how Jesus was convinced that the Bible is God’s Word, which provides the best guidance in life. Following Jesus’ example, we must read the Bible daily, study it, and meditate on what we learned

  • Lu2677 on Deuteronomy 28 - 9 years ago
Heather G, I am curious as to where you get your info that "Jews are the most wealthy and powerful people on earth today". It is possible that some Jews do accept Jesus as Messiah today.
Verse 15 is a very serious warning for them.
  • Jacoba on John 17 - 9 years ago
Jesus was praying for His apostles and all that believed on Him through their words.

  • JONAS on 1 John 5 - 9 years ago
Understanding the scriptures needs the right interpretation. Interpretation or rightly dividing the word of truth is in the Spirit mode or, simply, one must have the spirit just as Daniel had the spirit of the Holy God and was able to interpret visions and dreams.

This is a faithful saying, the words spoken and written by holy men of God are all inspired of the Holy God.
  • Rcarter on Psalms 121 - 9 years ago
When I am at low periods in my life, this chapter reminds me that no matter how difficult troubles may become, I can still trust God!!
  • Chris on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
When I was young I prayed this prayer and I would always feel encouraged. Over the years I fell away from God, but now having come back, I am thrilled to say this scripture still gives me encouragement. I'm finding, God's Word, which I use to think just made people feel better, speaks directly to me beyond what I thought possible and gives me peace and hope in situations where nothing else does
  • Isaac on Psalms 86 - 9 years ago
It a blessing just by reading it.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Jeremiah10:2 tells me not to follow the way of the heathen, sound doctrine, how could this verse harden my heart, Lorin? Luke 2:34 is God telling Mary and Joseph that Jesus will be a "sign that will be spoken against." You accuse me wrongly, I speak against the holiday that is based on pagan not bliblical truth, I do not speak against His Son our Lord. I don't see any math in Luke 1 and 2.
  • Lu2677 - 9 years ago
Bruce, I live in Christ, I abide in Him. Romans 11:36"For of him and through him and to him are all things" I already said that the date that the Lord saved me is not the most important day of my life. Why do you try to convince me otherwise? I would say the most important day of my life is the day He let's me enter His Kingdom. Those that endure(remain in the faith) to the end will be saved.
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Lorin, All I need to know and understand about our Lord is in His Word, and in my heart by His grace through faith. I don't think I need a Hebrew calendar, to understand His Word. His salvation is for the Jews and Gentiles.
  • Heather G on Deuteronomy 28 - 9 years ago
Christians, these Scriptures were written as a prophetic warning to the ISRAELITES. Now think for a min. Did the Israelites return to THE MOST HIGH? the ones the world calls "Jews".They are the most wealthy and powerful people on the earth today.do they accept "Jesus" as Messiah even today? No
  • Bruce on 1 John 5 - 9 years ago
