April: Eating food that's Forbidden in the Old Testament is Ok, if Giving Thanks, for every creature of God is good--- for it is sanctified by the word of God and Prayer--- put the brethren in remembrance of these things---: 1Timothy 4:4-6 / it's not what goes in the mouth but what comes out, defileth: Mark 7:15-23 / John 6:44, 1John 1-9, Revelation1:5,
    Matthew 3:11, 2Corinthians 5:17

    D. Painter - that was really very inspired to you of the Lord. To 'dig' out the corroborating verses like this - is a beautiful thing.
  • Irene123 on 1 Peter 3 - 9 years ago
Bruce - Hi; how are you ... ? The question you asked Marta 3 mos. ago about TWO scriptures. the 1st part was from Deut. 6:5; the 2nd from Matt 6:33. I'm sure you knew that ...? You're not ignorant of the scriptures. She rather gave it as one scripture, but she didn't intend it that way.

He that goeth forth, and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again REJOICING, bringing his sheaves with him. Ps. 126:6

1 Pet. 3:15 -" ..... and be ready always to give an answer to every man ..... "; when I witness, whether in writing or face to face, I want to do as this v. says. " ... the REASON for the HOPE ... "; God's Marvelous Mercy, in that He saved me. I pray for the Lord Jesus to lead me to those in need. No arguing, no trying to get MY point across, just my testimony of His great Mercy.
  • Irene123 on 2 Kings 9 - 9 years ago
Charlie; I can easily see how 'Jehoram' looks like a typo, but - you have to have FAITH that it's not. Why the difference I wouldn't venture to guess, because it IS God's word and He DID watch over it. I do not question God because I KNOW HE does not make mistakes.

  • Irene123 on Matthew 23 - 9 years ago
Rev. Kerns; I like what you said; Ps. 68:11; "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Lord shall raise up a standard against him." Isa. 69:19

    S. Morrow (LU2677) - yeah, I'd like to know that too ?! about more than 400 spaces.
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 12 - 9 years ago
I believe God's word is true; Matthew:36-37 "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words, shalt thou be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."
The words "I believe" are not wrong to use, as long as they are followed by God's truth and not personal opinions, or imaginations.
  • Lu2677 on John 16 - 9 years ago
I am not ashamed of the Gospel. Psalms 119:129"Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way." Psalms 119:104 also. 1Corinthians 6:12"All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient:all things are lawful for me but I will not be put under the power of any." A false way is against the Lord. False doctrine is against the Lord.

MrSmith,2Cor.10:5"Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"I'm not talking about inventions or getting out of a jam.Gen.6;5,Gen.8;21,Deut.2;19,Luke1;51,etc.
The Holy Spirit helps with prayer,Scripture teaches us to rely on Him,not our own understanding.Proverb 3;5
  • Lu2677 on Psalms 40 - 9 years ago
Mr.Smith on5/4you instruct people to use their"imagination" to get prayers answered.Imagination=fanciful, empty assumption. We get what the Lord is willing to give us.His Will be done.Do a word search of"imagination"its not good!An evil heart is full of imaginations.May the Lord give you understanding.Your quotation marks with the verse you quoted is misleading.
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 2 - 9 years ago
Bruce, Is your reply an answer to my question? I want to know where scripture says he was 2. She said he was 2.
  • Mack on Romans 4 - 9 years ago
Paul asserts that Abraham believed God and it was accounted as Faith. But Abraham was visited by Angels sent by God, clearly supernatural beings. Paul was visited by Jesus himself, supposedly. We are asked to believe based on the account of those who lived thousands of years ago. I will have faith and also carefully abide by the law. Acknowledgement of the law of God is equal to faith.
  • Lu2677 on John 2 - 9 years ago
John W."On the 3rd day, meaning what? John 1:29"The next day John" this is day 1.V.35 Again the next day" 29 and 35 are the same day. V.43"The day following Jesus traveled to Galilee. Which is the 2nd day. John 2:1"The 3rd day there was a marriage" Jesus was "called",an invitation. It does not say that Mary told them He could make wine."Protecting her"no evidence of it.You speculate,Proverbs3:5
  • Bruce on Joshua 14 - 9 years ago
April: What Believers are you talking about? All Believers that are Washed in The Blood of The Lamb have a Wonderful Fellowship with The Lord. Without His Spirit living within there is no Fellowship. Born-again Called: John 6:44 / Forgiving: 1John 1:9 / Washed: Revelation 1:5 / Baptized with The Holy Ghost: Matthew 3:11 / Changed: 2Corinthians 5:17, You will Know. Impossible not to! / Revelation 20:15

  • Anne on Deuteronomy 20 - 9 years ago
The priests were to inform the people they should not be afraid and only those that are willing and able should be sent into battle. Peace was to be extended to their enemies and if it was not accepted they were to destroy them. God would be with them and they were not to wilfully destroy the trees but preserve those that were good for food. Obedience to God is key if we are to be overcomers.
  • Chris on Hebrews 4 - 9 years ago
I love the words of verses 15
  • Mr. Smith - 9 years ago
Sickness, finances, relationships, etc., are subject to change thru our imagination. Jesus said, All things are possible to him that believes. i.e. NOTHING shall be restrained or impossible to him that believes. Mark 11:24, What things soever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them...or when you pray, "imagine that you've got it" and you shall have it.
  • Mr. Smith on Genesis 11 - 9 years ago
v 6, From God's mouth to our ears. NOTHING will be restrained (or nothing will be impossible) from them (to them) which they have IMAGINED to do. The power of the human imagination is infinite. God made us after his likeness, a creator. Every invention of man started in the imagination. Whatever situation we're facing we can imagine our way out of it.

    Thank you God.
  • Duke on Romans 3 - 9 years ago
In this chapter, Paul posits that faith in God through Jesus Christ obviates the law. But this concept muddies the waters in that there is no concretion to the concept of faith. How is faith measured. It is self declared mostly by born again who feel enpowered now to ban the right of woman to chose what happens in their own bodies and who can marry who. Hypocrites! First cast out the beam
  • Lane on Isaiah 14 - 9 years ago
I am so grateful for Father GOD, and his Son Lord JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT. I am grateful, that mankind can repent, and be redeemed by the blood of CHRIST. Satan, was once a beautiful Cherub with precious stones, who refuse to acknowledge, The one and only GREAT KING JEHOVAH! Who allowed one of the lower ranking Angels, to loosen up one of his screws! I AM who I AM.
  • A disciple on John 2 - 9 years ago
Jesus speaking to His mother in that way, was a mild rebuff to her meddling and trying to tell Him what to do; as if He were still in their house. The Eternal Son of God and Saviour coming in flesh into the world, and commencing His service for our redemption, does not need His mother to tell Him what to do! Now it was time for Mary and the rest of the family to follow Him, by obedience of faith.
  • Beverley on Proverbs 1 - 9 years ago
I thank Almighty GOD for the book of Proverbs because its a book of wise instructions and the world would be in a better condition if every human being under the plan it earth would take heed to the book I want to encourage everyone to take heed to the word of God so that we escape the wrath which us to come JESUS CHRIST gave his life for all humanity and if one goes to hell we have no excuse
