God gave you the gift of life, What you do with it is your gift to him,So be sure to give him a gift that is worth receiving.

  • Irene123 on Job 2 - 9 years ago
LU2677- I was surprised you took my comment as negative; I simply asked a question; there was no judgment in it. There is so much judgment on here that I think maybe we are 'expecting it - when there is none; and that's not good in our Christian walk. I re-read my message, and there was no judgment in it. I th'ot maybe I hadn't said it right, but it's as I intended it. I'm sorry for the confusion.

  • Jim Kirkpatrick on 2 Corinthians 6 - 9 years ago
Being unequally yoked with unbelievers is correct, but it means not to run with them not to restrain from witnessing to them.
  • Librarygal143 on 1 Peter 2 - 9 years ago
    Indeed, thank you Lord!
  • Lu2677 on 1 Corinthians 14 - 9 years ago
    Irene 123, thanks for answering.
  • Lu2677 on Job 2 - 9 years ago
Irene 123,I did not quote Job 7:3 with a bad motive or in the context of my physical situation. My post was answering how long Job suffered his affliction, asked earlier by someone. You judged it as "negative".You judge God's word as "depressing." Do you always give the outcome of every verse you quote?Almost impossible to do with the limit of letters we are allowed here.Your post is negative.
  • Being grateful to God gives peace in the person's life. on 2 Chronicles 20 - 9 years ago
Giving praise to God helps show others that thankfulness and gratefulness helps life become smoother.

  • Peter A. Okebukola on Joshua 22 - 9 years ago
The long and short of it all is to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments, and to cleave unto Him, and to serve Him with all our heart and with all our soul.
  • Irene123 on 1 Peter 5 - 9 years ago
Eunice. T. (if you ever see this) - you are so very right about our life in Christ being 'smooth'; Yes, we will have trials to test us, but God never puts on us more than we can bear, and knowing that makes our walk with Him - a smooth one. Our trials are nothing compared to the Heaven that awaits us. " ... Jesus endured the cross, despising the shame, for the JOY that was set before Him."
  • Irene123 on 1 Peter 4 - 9 years ago
Marlo,2 23 '13 - You are so right as Jesus said to satan 3times in Lk. ch. 4: "It is written". Jesus used the WORD against satan of which Jesus is the WORD .
  • April on Joshua 12 - 9 years ago
Shalome all,we may not have a specific person walking in front of us,this isn't brave heart lol,we have scripture, which I would like to add, although we have pastors we should still read GODS words and use our intellect and mouths to ask God for consideration, some people preach things that may actually go against what the word of GOD means or would like,we are not perfect in communication,GlORY TO GOD
  • Walid - 9 years ago
Christine - They only mistake they could make was disobeying God and eating from the tree. God did not create robots with no choice. He made people with free will. The serpent only had power over Eve because Eve was around the tree to begin with. Telling you to show love to someone by not throwing their stuff away is impossible if you have no access to their stuff. Need the option to disobey
  • Walid on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
Christine - Cain and all the above married siblings as this was the only choice. There would be few to no genetic mutations at this point as the original was one generation prior, so the genetic problem is not there. Nothing is wrong with the tree, but rather accountability is the problem. Once you know right and wrong, you become guilty of doing wrong. They simply lived in innocence.
  • Charmaine Beckford on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
The 23 psalms is food to my soul.
  • Irene123 on Luke 2 - 9 years ago
    V. 46 - proves that there are no 'loner' Christians. Jesus Himself gave us this example ( Heb. 10:25) at the age of 12. And verifying scriptures are: Matt.12:9; 13:54; Mk.1:21, 29; Lk.4:38; 6:6; Jn.6:59; 12:42; and on and on. Rom. 10:14 - How can they hear without a preacher; 1 Tim. 4:14 - a Preacher (pastor) has hands laid on him by Holy Ghost filled men for God's spirit to 'ordain' him.
  • Ezra on 2 Corinthians 1 - 9 years ago
    i love reading the bible.
  • Jpramsey on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
I think this is the best
  • Steve McCloud on Ezekiel 9 - 9 years ago
It IS a brutal punishment. Horrible evil is the result of unrepented sin! God is Holy. God is serious. God is not fooling around. And it is the same God we serve today. Fortunately God has sent us a way out. If we repent and turn to Christ we can be forgiven but if we are truly born again in Christ, we must strive to remain in Him and not turn back to our former sins.
  • Irene123 on Luke 9 - 9 years ago
Lk.9:62 - Jesus said this because He knew if we 'go back' (to whatever) BEFORE committing to him - we will be caught up in the past and it will pull us from Him. Right at the beginning, before following Him, if we tell family, friends, as a general rule they will talk us out of it because we are as yet too weak to be committed. The Lord knows this, He's not stupid.
  • Irene123 on Luke 9 - 9 years ago
Lk.9:23 - This is my favorite of these3 gospel vs. - because here Lk. 'specifies' - daily. 'Daily is understood in the other 2, but Lk. brings it out so that to new Bible readers His light is shone on it. Matt. and Mk. didn't 'miss' this word daily; the Word of God is how He gave it to them. His reasons are sacrosanct; we are not to question them.
  • Irene123 on Job 2 - 9 years ago
LU2677 - are you in great physical/emotional pain? Otherwise why would you quote Job 7:3? It's very depressing if you don't bring out Job's end in all of this .....; we shouldn't use the word of God in a negative way.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 3 - 9 years ago
Christine - God bless you for your questions. He knew before you asked them - that you wanted to know these things. But the answers to THESE won't save you. Salvation is the most important 'question - Acts 2:37, " men and brethren, what shall we do?" then Peter answered them in the next verse .....; in the name of Jesus Christ, just as in Matt.28:19, ".....Baptizing them in the NAME of .....
  • Irene123 on 1 Corinthians 14 - 9 years ago
Lu2677 - I attend an Apostolic/Pentecostal ch.; the women obey "keeping silence" by not preaching/teaching men, i.e. having authority over them. We do shout, sing, vocally worship God, raise holy hands, during the worship service before the message is given. I dearly love that time of praise; it sets the mind to receive His message o us.
  • Irene123 on Judges 16 - 9 years ago
    Lu2677 - I like your comment Samson
  • Dolores on Psalms 108 - 9 years ago
This psalm starts off exactly how I am feeling... The psalmist says, "my heart is fixed". O LORD, whatever my troubles may be, no matter how much pain is in my life. Let me be focused, LET MY HEART ALWAYS BE FIXED ON YOU.
May you always be my priority.
  • Dolores on Psalms 107 - 9 years ago
God is an awesome God and I love Him so much cuz He first loveth me. Though I currently walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil.
All though my enemies are many and powerful they are created beings - He created them. one day I will see them with my own eyes bow down before Him. It is only a matter of time.
