Correnthia - quote, 3 29 '17 '... He is God, no matter His name ... " do you realize by saying 'no matter His name" - you are trampling the name of Jesus underfoot? His name matters because - Acts 4:12 Philipp. 2:9-10
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Sylvia - the trinity was created by the Roman Catholic ch. and the emperor Constantine in 325 A.D. Jesus ch. began on the day of Pentecost 30-33 A.D. with Peter's message - Acts ch. 2:37-38.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 2 - 9 years ago
Julie - man was not made in Gen. 1:26 this was God's preliminary 'idea' for creating man a 'blueprint' for man to be made. Man was actually created in Gen. 2:7.

Don't fight God's words. Scripture comes from Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Use scripture for victorious life in Christ the Saviour. The Father says, This is my beloved Son in I am well pleased. Hear ye Him. Blessed are the hearers and doers of the word.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Barbara - to sleep with the fathers was to go to the bosom of Abraham. As Jesus wasn't manifest yet the saved couldn't go to heaven with Him. And yet Jesus, after he rose from the dead went into hell to get the 'keys' from satan to release the captives. I haven't heard teaching on these 2 aspects so I won't confuse you any further. This has nothing to do with salvation now - which is by Acts 2:38.
  • Irene123 on Mark 13 - 9 years ago
correction - concerning my comment about it being 70 yrs. before Jesus allowed the temple to be destroyed. It was only from ca. 30 A.D, to 70 A.D. which is not 70 yrs.

  • Zeingoff on John 12 - 9 years ago
Jesus knew the heart. Therefore, he must have enlisted Judas as his betrayer. Was Judas more evil then the next guy. All have sinned in this world and sin goes unabated. But every good story needs an antagonist and a hero. Seldom does the hero die, but all must die in real life. Jesus states that if we love this mortal life we will be deprived of our eternity. He is forever transcendent.

I FEEL PERHAPS FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT HOW MUCH I LOVE JESUS. ALTHOUGH I HAVE NEVER MET HIM IN PERSON I CAN FEEL HIM WITH ME ALL THE TIME.THE BIBLE SAYS THERE IS A FRIEND THAT STICKS CLOSER THAN A BROTHER, THAT IS JESUS CHRIST TO ME. YOU FEEL IT IN YOUR HEART AND WANT TO BE WITH HIM ALL THE TIME LIKE A 5 YEAR OLD CHILD YOU HAVE. THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR SAVING A SINNER LIKE ME.

  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
cont. - made in Gen. 1:26 -- this was only the plan or blueprint by which man was to be made. Man was made in Gen. 2:7 and the scripture says, "And the Lord God formed man ..... " He did it ALONE. The word Elohim is plural, but does not refer to beings, but to the many attributes of God. Elohim does not refer to a plurality of gods, for that is polytheistic; the Jews were STRICTLY MONOTHEISTIC.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
cont. - In Rom. 5:14 we read, "nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them who had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, WHO IS THE FIGURE (IMAGE) OF HIM THAT WAS TO COME. God's spirit and His future body were both essential elements in the making of man. Also it is important to notice that man was NOT
  • Irene123 on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
In order to understand any verse of scripture (including Gen. 1:26), we must "rightly divide the word of truth." First of all, God is a spirit, and since there is no image that can be made of a spirit, the words "our image" may refer to a future body that would belong to God. That is exactly who Jesus Christ was, the image of the invisible God ( Col. 1:15). cont.

Jesus exposed the heart of man- so full of iniquities. From it "proceeds evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness". Only His precious Blood can give us a new heart. What we have today is people honouring Him with their lips, but their heart is far from Him. Salvation is the antidote.
  • VO on Acts 17 - 9 years ago
It is very simple, Jesus called the Jews stiffed necked they were disobedient from day one. Paul is trying his best to teach them the real truth so they won't be lost again. The word of God said, God winked at ignorance. In our world today the same thing thing is happening, the world said show me then I will believe. God said believe and I will show you things you have never seen.

Lorin: I was Saved Yrs back.It was a Joy to Read His Word. then I read that Verse. I don't believe it.First thought came to mind was The Lord has lost. I can't believe it! Wiping away Tears trying to Read it again! Yes it's True. Broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and "many" there be which go in there at:---narrow is The Way that leads to life, few there be that find it.Matthew7:13-14
  • Marshal A on Psalms 13 - 9 years ago

Today We endure only because of The Spirit that Lives in Our Heart.
  • Irene123 on Malachi 3 - 9 years ago
V.3, " ... the sons of Levi" refers to the pastors of HIS churches. V.5 , " ... to turn away the stranger from his right ... " refers to false teachers teaching lies about God's word and turning these to false beliefs. A 'stranger' is also a gentile, as opposed to a Christian. God has ALWAYS loved strangers, gentiles; He leads us to His truth - to accept or reject.
  • Irene123 on Romans 10 - 9 years ago
The book of Romans was written to the church in Rome, but not the one that is predominant there now. This EARLY church was established after Acts 2:38 was preached by Peter. The ch. in Rome had already gone thru Acts 2:38; this letter is an 'epistle', which simply means letter, a letter of further instruction for their life long walk with Jesus. V. 9 refers to DAILY acknowledging Him in prayer.

Micah 6:8 - "He hath shewed thee, o man, what is good and what doth the Lord require of thee , but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God."
  • Irene123 on Malachi 1 - 9 years ago
V.11 - " ... and in every place incense will be offered unto my name ... " refers to the PRAYERS of the saints (ordinary Christians) not stone and wood 'saints'.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
God allowed 70 yrs. to pass, being patient with the Jews not letting go of their yearly blood sacrifices, but, in a reverse order from that of the captivity of Babylon for 70 yrs., He allowed the destruction of the Temple worship - so they would turn to Him, but they still haven't. But they no longer have their blood sacrifices anymore. But they will have; it's coming back - soon.
  • Irene123 on Romans 9 - 9 years ago
LaToya, 3/25/'14, V.3; God didn't hate Esau, God never hated even Hitler. God hates the SIN. Esau's sin was his self-righteousness in offering vegetables instead of a blood sacrifice; Heb. 9:22. God instituted blood sacrifice for sin in Gen. 3:21. The yearly blood sacrifice thereafter pointed to Jesus blood sacrifice ONCE FOR ALL. That's why God allowed the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D.cont
