  • I AM on Romans 5 - 9 years ago
How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
  • A disciple on Psalms 9 - 9 years ago
"To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben (translation: To Die For The Son), A Psalm of David." What's in a title? There seems to be many Psalms that David wrote, because of what happened over the matter of Absalom. Every line is full of deep meaning, of what is with the inner life with God. Our secrets sorrows, and the hard things He gives us to know, all shape our character and friendship with Him.
  • Jason phelps on 2 Samuel 6 - 9 years ago
Wow, I never cease to be amazed by the many levels and angles in which the Word teaches and interacts with other's along with myelf.I am a high strung person who is learning to slow down because I read over things.Example the comment Dave wrote made me stop and see how the oxen etc. were symbolic.God's word is always complete past, present and future, He let's us know He's thinking about us each.

  • Zeingoff on Luke 17 - 9 years ago
Lk 20-21 the kingdom comes not with observation. No one will see for we are made in the image of God. That is our bodies within are spirit as the Father is spirit. These sayings of Jesus are always symbolic. Substitute mustard seed/faith for instance. He wants us to work at this and not be blind leading blind. You can't site verse to prove a point, especially from Paul, who taught different
  • Magecius Mwima on Romans 5 - 9 years ago
Through Faith In Jesus Christ Refers To One Accepting Jesus As Lord And Saviour Of Ones Life. Fully Trusting Him. As Saviour Acknowledging What He Did On The Cross And As Lord, The Ruler And One Who Has Authority Over Ones Life. Amen.
  • Jim rapalje on 2 Peter 3 - 9 years ago
The imporant part of the verse is as the Voice version says " until the coming of the new AGE! " All of the destruction by fire of the previous verses is for an AGE. It is not for "eternity" as other versions stipulate. EVERY knee will bow the knee to the Savior, Jesus Christ. Whether in this age, or the next. Every person, heavenly being, or thing WILL worship the Lord, by obedience or FIRE.
  • LadyA on Romans 5 - 9 years ago

1Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: 3All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.'4For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders

he who now letteth - will not go through the tribulation. That only stands to reason, Isa.1:18. Why - would a loving God who sent His Son to die for our sins, He loved us that much, then let us go through the day of God's wrath?! LOVE does not operate that way. We shall have tribulation in THIS life, but THAT is only certain individuals; cont.
  • Irene123 on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
Only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way; the 'he' in the 2nd part is the he in the 1st part. The 'he' who now letteth - the word letteth means - to hinder. We - the church - are hindering the anti-Christ from coming on the scene at this time of Grace so that as many souls as possible can be saved - by our WITNESSING.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
As much as is possible - we need to .reason' on here, using SCRIPTURE to prove a point; not get 'upset' by other's remarks, Isa.1:18. God's own will not come back to Him void, Isa. 55:11. Let God's word do it's work - and it will; that's a PROMISE from God; Titus 1:2. We need to ask God to increase our faith; "Lord, I believe, help thou my unbelief", Mk. 9:29.
  • Irene123 on Deuteronomy 17 - 9 years ago
" ..... we are not to worship saints or holy men, but we can still PRAY to them ..... "; ??? Hosea; God is speaking to the Israelites priests for withholding His truth from His people. We, in this age of Grace, are His people. To paraphrase - God's eyes run to and fro in the earth, beholding the evil and the good.
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Eric - I'm sorry for making you feel that; but if you know your Bible you know the Jews, as a nation, haven't turned to Jesus. Yes, there are some Messianic Jews, but the Bible refers to the nation, not certain individuals who have accepted Him. The nation will turn to him later and then the Gentiles will turn to them for Jesus' truth. Everything will be 'about face'.
  • Irene123 on Deuteronomy 16 - 9 years ago
Disciple - you are right about the Temple being burned; both the Jews and Romans had part in that - Wikipedia. Titus wanted to conserve it for the Roman's use, so He destroyed it, using man to this end. You can see his use of men all thru the O.T. in accomplishing His ends. Also God wanted to draw the Jews to HIM, to Acts 2:38. They would not leave their Temple worship for His way so - ...........
  • Word on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Have you read Isaiah 45:18 how God in the beginning created the earth beautiful. He created with wisdom in Proverbs 8:22 - 30 also in Genesis 1:2 check out the word "was" and it's became without form and if you read Jeremiah 4:22 you will read of a great flood with no Noah and family and in 27 earth was desolate but not to a full end. 2 Peter 3:5 - 7 speaks of the earth age before.

  • A disciple on Psalms 8 - 9 years ago
"What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?" Like the way that the verses about God and His greatness and glory surround the mentioning of man; we find ourselves, a being created to be replications of God, standing now at a distance wondering what we are at all. The Word of God in the Scriptures ALONE has the true record of why we are in this case.
