Yes, Jesus did heal from sickness, disease, but - that is not why He came among men. EVERYBODY, but everybody - knows why Jesus came to earth.
  • Jean (Trebor) Forbes on Proverbs 1 - 9 years ago
BE OBEDIENT TO THE WORD, PRAY, AND LEAN NOT TO YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, FOR THE FLESH IS WEAK AND WE MUST DAILY STRENGTHEN SELF TO DISCERN
  • Wayne on Romans 9 - 9 years ago
Irene, that goes, also, for Matt. 28:19. Think on it.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
Matthew 28: 18- Jesus said: "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." Our Lord Jesus has risen from the dead and He will come back again. Since He has ALL powers, what is there too hard for Him to do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He has power to save our sin-soaked souls. He has power to heal. He has power to provide for ALL our needs. All hail Jesus!
  • Wayne on Romans 8 - 9 years ago
Bruce, 1 John 3:6, Whosoever abideth in Him SINNETH NOT, whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. A little sin is the same as a lot of sin. Without spot or wrinkle. 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifest that He might destroy the works of the devil. A little sin goes a long ways. God Bless
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Deuteronomy 15 - 9 years ago
The 7-year release is a precursor of an aspect of the Lord's prayer- forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. What a marvelous world it would be if we abide by this injunction.
  • Wayne on Matthew 28 - 9 years ago
V.19- If you don't listen to Christ Himself, you can make up any story you want. He'll allow it. With 30000 religions in the world, and variations of each, what's one more. 'Til He comes again.
  • Mt ochrymowicz on 1 Peter 2 - 9 years ago
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 peter 2:9
  • Irene123 on Exodus 6 - 9 years ago
Kevin - There can not be peace with all people; in Lk. 2:14, 'Peace on earth' does not refer to worldly peace; it refers to individual peace - as each person accepts the truth of God's word, individually. Salvation is an individual thing. Jesus himself said He came not to save the world. Yes, He will draw all men to Him, but they won't all accept Him.
  • Irene123 on Exodus 6 - 9 years ago
    Reginald T. - What is God's name ..... ?
  • Irene123 on 1 Timothy 2 - 9 years ago
    V. 9 - " ... with shamefacedness ... "; I looked up 'shamefacedness' in several online dictionaries. They all define it as - shame, embarrassment, etc. You'd have to go to the translation Paul took it from to see the true BIBLICAL meaning. It refers to a woman's non-made up face, washed clean. God lets you take His word as you want; that's part of His freewill to us. He's not a dictator.

Quote cont. - as opposed to the woman who focuses on external trappings and whose self esteem comes from her ability to make herself attractive in her own eyes. unquote.
I well know this quote will not be accepted by many on here, but it's given in love, not condemnation or judgment. I also well know the same 'many' will not accept what I just said. But - maybe one will ....................
  • Irene123 on 1 Timothy 4 - 9 years ago
Quote - Obeying God's instructions on personal matters has spiritual consequences. Peter wrote that the simple application of these instructions can result in sinners converted ( 1 Pet. 3). The woman he describes is one who is secure in her relationship with God and who derives her beauty from that relationship, cont.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 24 - 9 years ago
You have to read the Bible IN CONTEXT - and with common sense. You have to 'agree' with God's word. The word 'taken', and God's word (not man's imagination) means - raptured.
  • Lilian on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
If any man be in Christ he is a new creature Old things are passed away and behold all things became new. Thank you Jesus for making everything new and by your blood we are redeemed. I will praise you and worship you alone for you are worthy. Jehova shalom my Peace and my Provider amen
  • Irene123 on Ephesians 2 - 9 years ago
If we really love Him, why do we so frequently celebrate the grace of Ephesians 2:8, and so seldom acknowledge the grace of Tit. 2:11-12? After all, they both come from God's word.
If we truly love Him, why do we find so many excuses to not come together with others of like mind to celebrate our relationship and learn more about Him? Heb. 10:25
  • Vince on Romans 3 - 9 years ago
By keeping the law we are trying our best to do our part on this earth but if we stumble then we have an advocate in Jesus. Many want to use the word faith so we can try to avoid God's laws but works is a product of faith in Jesus. We are all sinners so let's do our best. God bless
  • Duncan on Matthew 24 - 9 years ago
Vs.40,41 both state one taken, other left. In English language (even then), taken also means fooled,(off to Antichrist, Trump 6). Left, (or left standing, Trump 7) wearing Gospel armor, v 13 says he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
  • Zeingoff on John 5 - 9 years ago
The Bible doesn't mention "Rapture" but Paul says we shall meet in the air which he said would comfort us. Don't go there but vs 47 which calls us to learn the whole Bible. Jesus' word is mostly in parables which people mostly misinterpret. It is not given everyone to understand. But God spoke plainly to the Fathers. No one mentioned Rapture. But they plainly spoke if Spirit. Read Moses.
  • Brianna vs 20-21 on Jude 1 - 9 years ago
Jehovah God constantly tells us to build our faith. This verse helps us to see why. Our faith is going to sustain us as we wait patiently for God to fulfill his promise to the Earth. Strong faith will help us to live a happy and satisfying life while we wait for the REAL life to come.
  • Barbara Pierce on Ruth 1 - 9 years ago
Ruth showed the agape love that we should have! Even in sorrow she kept the love and acted upon it. She loved Naomi and was willing to give her life to go with her.
  • Brianna vs. 8 on 1 Timothy 4 - 9 years ago
HA! Verse at makes me feel a little better about my cellulite. I just found this verse funny. In the grand scheme of things exercise is nothing compared to Spirituality. However the Bible does say this is beneficial. Gives me strength and motivation to take care of the body an life God has blessed me with.
  • Temica on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
I just want to say we all need our faith increse and i thank God for being God and to know we have him to look to from an evil wicked world things will end but his love will never and we have to belive that we didnt creat our self and really dont understand ourselves so we know to turn to our God our creator and thats enough
  • Brianna vs. 32 on Ezekiel 18 - 9 years ago
Though it seems we are waiting a long time for God to act, vs. 32 shows us that Jehovah God's patience is out of love. He takes no pleasure in having to exercise justice and destroy the wicked. He wants us all to take time to come to know him an live our lives according to his will so that we can live. Truly, God is Love.

  • Peter A. Okebukola on Deuteronomy 12 - 9 years ago
Still more injunctions by God to the Isarelites and a promise of a great future if they obey. It is a simple logic of trust (have faith and do His commands) and obey. Sadly, many shun to obey with its dire consequences. But our God is gracious and mighty to save if we genuinely repent.
  • Veena Deojee on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Nothing has made me feel strong and safe more than psalm 91. Its Gods reasurance to me. I started meditating with it before i ever understood it.. it kept me safe and confident. Please who ever read this even for the first timers. This is your weapon and sheild. Where you need it most.
