And too, you'd have to look up 'serpent' and 'belly' and 'dust' in the original Hebrew to see what the meanings really are. The meanings we have for a lot of Bible words are not the same in the Hebrew. It takes a lot more in-depth studying to truly understand God's word than most people put into it. I, personally, have done very little of this studying; most of mine is on the history; I love it.

Genesis 28 is the perfect medicine for anxiety and worry. Ive seen and been through much but he's always been there. Focusing on Jesus' words to the Samarian women, " True worshippers worship the Father in spirit and in truth. God/is a spirit," strikes me as being the essential message in John 4. Makes me want to know all there is about the words, "spirit and truth".

Mark; It wasn't true, whatever you were taught that only the original living Apostles could be the vehicles for God giving His Holy Spirit. John the Baptist said, that Jesus was He who would baptize in the Holy Spirit and fire. Jesus Himself, when expounding to the Apostles about the purpose of God for "us" in this world till He returns; said how the Holy Spirit must be in us to fulfill that plan.

Jesus said we can do good on the Sabbath.

Julie; When we read the Scriptures, we should understand that things are often explained over several different chapters about various aspects of what they are. In other words, Chapter 2 is not chronological in relation to Chapter 1, as we might assume; but rather an in detail description of how God made man and his wife, and how He began to give them the charge and dominion over all the earth.

Job outlines how we learn to have Christ walk us through our "every days" with Grace. Wisdom and comfort to others always outweighs possessions and riches. Once we make that a staple in lives, we will truly be able to be "pillars" and have Christ's love that we can transcend to others.

Genesis Chapter 1 and 2 are not 2 separate creation accounts. Genesis 1 is a summary and 2 goes into greater detail.

So I am confused. In Chap 1 V 27 it clearly states that God created mankind, this was done on the 6th day. Then Chap 2 V 7, it clearly says He created a man (which occurred AFTER the 7th day (which He rested) So probably on the 8th day he created man from dust. So did He create people before Adam and Eve?
