Being a young person in today's society brings forth many obstacles. I trust God, so I will continue to pray and read this and other scriptures to help me make it through.

The Rapture of the Church will be at the coming of the Lord, immediately behind the resurrection of all our brothers and sisters in Christ who have passed away. There is a commonly held idea; (that is not found in the Bible); that is, that the Rapture will be before the Tribulation. But that cannot be because we who are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord must endure to the end to be saved!

Kathie Ellis; "The Fullness of the Gentiles" will be when the last sheep is gathered into the fold, and the door is shut, for this present age. The Father alone knows when that day is; and that will be the day that He tells the Lord Jesus, "Now go down, and finish the age, to completely fill up the vision!" Then, at the Day of the LORD, Jesus will make Himself known in power and glory to Israel.

Irene; I was speaking to someone who called himself, (or, herself), "Prophet." My post didn't show up for some time; that's why it seems not to fit anything. This person was saying that Satan was at one time a son of God, and equal to Jesus: that is utterly false and blasphemy! As I wrote; and I'm sure every Christian must agree; only the devil has ever said or thought that he was equal to God.

Mary; in verses 5-8 the Lord was explaining and answering Nicodemus' question, directing it to the level of his natural thinking. We must be cleansed and born from above by the Spirit to be able at all to enter into the kingdom of God. This "New Birth" from above, is like the wind: you can hear its sound; but cannot know its circuits. So is the nature of the New Birth being "not of this world."

Brianna vs. 7; In context to the rest of this chapter, we carry the words of redemption and restoration to a world that cannot yet see it to so. The Spirit by which we live and speak and conduct our lives, is given into our hearts from above, for the very purpose of giving hope to all who are lost here below. We are Ambassadors of Christ, charged with His Words and His Business, while we are here.

continuing: for the record; I am of the Jewish race, and do not wish ill toward any of my natural brethren. That would be totally against God's word, nature and character! Jesus, and all His Prophets and Apostles, have always spoken the truth to people, without fear of the hatred or hostility of those who contradict and oppose. We all have needed Him to be patient and forgiving to the worst of us!

"A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causes shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren." In Matthew 8:11-12, as in many other places, the warning is clearly, that name and privilege does not give anyone a free pass, regardless of moral character. The fact that the Jews as a people have generally rejected Jesus, and that the Gentiles have received Him, shows this!

  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Moses was raised in Pharoah's courts. But, when he killed the Egyptian and had to flee Pharoah - there God spoke to him - Pharoah must have wondered 'why' was he (Pharoah) listening to this man he hated. He knew not God so he never knew 'why'.
  • Irene123 on Exodus 2 - 9 years ago
Some comments on the following pgs. for ch. 2 - say that Moses killed a Hebrew; Moses killed an Egyptian, not a Hebrew.
  • Word on Revelation 11 - 9 years ago
The fallen won't even know that they are in the apostacy and they will tell the elect they are a widow no longer and that their husband has came home. But the elect do not care about their false messiah and his power to bring lightning down To earth at his will. The elect will be delivered up by those believers and to death which is Satan and the Holy Spirit will speak through them.

correction - the grace of God bringeth salvation
  • Irene123 on Titus 2 - 9 years ago
    V. 11 - the grace of bringeth - salvation ( Acts 2:38. THEN with grace, we are able to continue on in obeying His commandments, Jn.14:15. These commandments are in the Epistles (letters) following the Book of Acts. The epistles are to ALREADY established churches; they are instructions in righteous living for God. They are God's (Jesus) words given to the apostles, not mans words.
  • Irene123 on John 4 - 9 years ago
GOD'S (Jesus) plan of salvation was not 'changed' by Paul. People want to think it was because - they don't want to follow Jesus' commandments, Jn. 14:15.They want to have an easy believe -ism, "By grace are ye saved ..... " But the words of James ch. 2 are Jesus' words also, vs. 17-26. We cannot 'pick 'n choose' through God's word; it's all, from Gen. to Rev. His Word.
  • Irene123 on John 3 - 9 years ago
To be born again - one is born naturally as a physical body. To be born again is a spiritual birth. It happens when you follow Acts 2:38, (note v. 37 where, after Peter's very first message in Jesus new church, the people ask, " ... what must we do?"). Then, all the 'letters' after Acts are instructions to the new churches that have already followed Acts 2:28 on how to live a faithful life.

vs 2, Wise servant/shameful son (see Eccl. 10:7). The servant operating out of the authority of his imagination (heart) will rule (have power) over a son operating from the sense realm (human lusts, ie. prodigal son, Luke 15). The person that discovers their divine position ( Ps. 82:6, John 10:34) will share the inheritance (blessings) along with other like-minded ( Gal. 3:29) in Christ.

  • Brianna vs. 11 on Isaiah 55 - 9 years ago
In a world filled with political lies, it brings comfort to know that the true sovereign of the universe will act on his promises. Any word that comes from Jehovah God's mouth will have results. We don't have to fear God's words because he always makes laws that benefit us. He loves us and will never hurt us. We must put our trust in the only true ruler: Jehovah.

  • Brianna vs. 7 on Isaiah 52 - 9 years ago
We should welcome those who are preaching about the good news of God's kingdom. This was a commandment from Jesus to do so, and today very few are meeting that call to action. Being able to boldly proclaim the good news is a feature of God's people. Who are going and preaching about the Bible?
  • Tope Olu Alabi on Psalms 108 - 9 years ago
I caught the fire of verse 12 this morning. God's help is enduring, no man can help you beyond his limit. Wonderful assurance and warning about where to seek help. Praise God.
