V.10 - As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; - I've had 2 recent experiences with this - as I know many of you have. About 2 1/2 mos. ago my 46 yr. old son had a heart attack, his heart stopped, they got it going again; he's fine now. Then this past Dec. 13 I came down with flu/pneumonia for 2 wks. Mighty prayer was sent up for us both of us by the ch. I'm fine, but thru it all I could REJOICE!!

This psalm means the world to me.
When my son was diagnose with stage 4 colon cancer at age 32 ,
I had shared the news to 3 personal good friends . They all said to me " where is your God ???" Your always perching to us !!!
I was floored ! Instead of receiving
Compassion from them . Father God put words in my mouth to respond to them ! He told me to say " He's right here with me !"

I was led to 4:20-22 through a radio broadcast by Derek Prince Ministries. Through these verses Derek was healed in Egypt during WW2. Using the word medicine for health in verse 22. Doctors tell you how often to take your medicine. Taken daily or three times a day, Gods word certainly brings healing. But we must incline (Bow) our ear to listen to the Lord's saying and "take" the word daily. Amen.

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me? For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, says the LORD: I will set him in safety from him that puffs at him. To set up on high those that be low: that those which mourn may be exalted to safety. All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off: but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. Now will I rise, says the LORD: now will I be exalted: now will I lift up myself. Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Behold your God!

Cont. - Mary was not the mother of God; God has always been, from before the creation of - ANYTHING. She was only the vessel used of God to create His earthly body. Nor was she 'just' an incubator; she was of the line of David; Jesus was prophesied to come through David's line.
  • Irene123 on John 2 - 9 years ago
Jn.2:4 - Jesus is God - "..... manifested in the flesh ..... ", Jn 1:14. He LOVED Mary and honored her as His mother - WHEN he was young. But now He is 30 yrs. of age and being God - He doesn't refer to her as 'Mother' because He knew what was coming in spite of His not acknowledging it - Mary worship, mother of God. Mary had the 'flesh' body of God, but not His spirit. God has always been. cont.
  • Matt on John 5 - 9 years ago
The Abrahamic covenant was made with Abraham, Issac and Jacob. After the cross, a new covenant was made. The Israelites were promised the Savior, and that was why Christ was sent to them first, to let them know their Shepherd had arrived. When He gave His life on the cross, all races, kinds, etc. could be saved if they believe on Him. The 'Jews' are not Abraham's children. Read John chapter 8.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 127 - 9 years ago
V.8 reminds me of 1 Thess. 4:13 - "..... even as others which have no hope." We CHRISTIANS - need to reach out to these 'others'. Praying everyday for Jesus' Holy Spirit - which indwells us - to lead us to those in need.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 126 - 9 years ago
To Marsalis Allen - First of all, God Bless you for your honesty, not to us, but to yourself, and the Lord Jesus knows and He will help put desire in your heart to read his word - if you ask him. And ask Him in His name - Jesus; Jn. 14:13; Ps. 119:11; Acts 17:11; Jn. 5:39. All this is for whenever you feel like looking into His Word: You WILL be blessed of Him for it.
  • Peter on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
In the 50s, there was no shopping on Sunday, there was Sunday school; concerns on what children were starting to watch on TV, etc.; each generation has gone further downhill. We are better educated; they know more; but there are more problems, more sickness, more teenage problem, we have lost our way. That is why I like the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want, He taketh me to lie down in Green
  • Irene123 on Psalms 119 - 9 years ago
To Katapalca - I think maybe the 'consistency' of David's references to the word, law, judgments in almost every verse in this whole Psalm is what you were referring when you said, "..... always turning to the word ..... ? It's a GREAT Ps., isn't it? I'm sure very few people notice the consistency character of it. I did just now as I re-read it just before sending you this.

    To Ryan
It may have been just the way they were at the time. My dad always called my mother woman but it wasn't a derogatory term or any thing like that; but it was just a product of that generation. The man had his duties; and his wife was looked upon as the woman of the house. So he called my mother woman when we were growing up. ItSureGotComplicatedLater however AsTheYoungerWomenCameAlong

Psalms 119:2, that prayer is our main source of communication between Heaven and Earth. We must study Gods word to learn of him so that eventually it is planted in our heart so that it becomes a part of our everyday life. Prayer is the medicine to remain on track with God.

To Stephanie - Were you talking to me .....? Because you didn't use the "123" - I can't be sure, nor could I find any name of Irene or Irene123 in the back comments of this chapter. If you were I wish I remembered what I said to make you think I don't attend ch. enough,

What sabbath is the law refer to? The seventh day of the weekly? is it continue to this days?
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
Jn. 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The word 'with' refers to the knowledge God had to save mankind through His (God's) being made in a flesh body by the incarnation. The name Jehovah, Hebrew, translates into Jesus, Greek. Jesus is now, in this age of Grace, God's name. Acts 4:12 (2:38).

Love the Name of YAHUAH in YAHUSHA name Shalum!!
  • Irene123 on John 1 - 9 years ago
    V. 14 - "..... the Word (God) became flesh; 1 Tim.3:16 - "..... God was manifest in the flesh (Jesus). God needed to 'show' Himself to mankind, but God is a spirit - so can't be seen by physical eyes. Jesus was only in the mind of God from even before the foundation (creation) of the world. God is - omniscient - ALL KNOWING; He had this whole plan, world, humans, salvation before time.
