ALL PRAISES TO OUR KING AND LORD HIS MAJESTY JESUS CHRIST. I GET STRENGTH AND POWER FROM OUR LORD EVERYDAY. THE PSALMS STRENGTHEN ME TREMENDOUSLY. THE PSALMS WERE STRENGTH FOR KING DAVID AND HIS MEN. BY THEM PRAYING DAILY THE ENEMY WAS DEFEATED.
  • Tami on Hebrews 7 - 9 years ago
From my understanding, Hebrews is not meant for gentiles. Have to be very careful what you're reading and what dispensation it is. Do gentiles understand what tithing is and how often it was actually done?
(I'm by no means an expert on the scripture but I do follow some well-studied teachers.)
    Amen

We can't survive without our Lord. We don't have the capacity for true joy in this world without him.
  • Seven Trumpets on Daniel 4 - 9 years ago
I looked up "Esdras" in Wikipedia, since I didn't want to spend the time actually reading in it; and what I read, I didn't like. It apparently has some so-called visions of Ezra, and him asking questions of God; which in my opinion don't match up to the kind of man of God Ezra really was. For example; how could he think that misery and punishment is unjust for a people who obstinately refuse God?

As far as the east is from the West, God has thrown my sins into the sea of forgetfulness. No longer under the law of sin but under grace, preparing to go to my heavenly father's place.

The words Wrath and Quenching The Holy Spirit, is my focal point of the scripture text; because these two action words will lead me to sin. So,in learning this I will activate my Christian walk in Abstinence. Amen.

God owns everything and He has made a place for us to live (Kingdom). He is telling us to wake up
  • Irene123 on Acts 10 - 9 years ago
Vs,13-16; this was a vision. It had to do with the apostles including the Gentiles along with their fellow Jews in witnessing of Jesus and His salvation. It had nothing to do with literal eating food. Peter may have actually consumed food the next a.m., but THAT is not germane to salvation - AT ALL.
  • Irene123 on 2 Corinthians 4 - 9 years ago
Satan was cast out of heaven with his angels before Gen. for rebelling against God; wanting to usurp God's authority and be 'God' himself and he had a host of angels that followed him. This was done before Adam 'n Eve. The testimony of this event is corroborated by Jesus Himself - Lk.10:18. The prince of the power of the air, Eph.2:2. Tit.2:12, we are 'in' the world, but not 'of' it, Jn.15:19, 17.

  • Dr Nwosah G C on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
    Psalms 91 is great.
Just as the Bible said in John 6:63 that the word of God is Spirit and life so are the words and promises in Ps 91.
I recommend that every Believer should read it on daily bases - especially Morning and Evening.

    V. 11 - the last phrase - is preceded by a colon (:). This always indicates the following is - important - "..... let them also that love thy NAME be joyful in thee. In the O.T. the name was Jehovah (YAH). Jehovah is from the Hebrew; in the N.T. Greek it translates into - Jesus. And we LOVE His name when we are baptized in it - Acts 2:38.

  • John L. on Hebrews 7 - 9 years ago
Tithe is 1/10. Tithing was required for the support of the tribe of Levi because their job was to care for the worship services, tabernacle, furnishings, etc. and could not work, grow crops to eat. The doctrine of the church is sacrificial giving based on prayer and stewardship of what God has provided you. Actually tithe is incorrect terminology for the church.
