Mari: verse one says I must talk to you even as if you "were" babes .
When someone hasn't eaten for sometime they can't start eating meat and potatoes they have to start out with liquids. The same with believers. Adult babies. So we can call them babes. They have to start again. Hebrews 5:12-14
  • Michael Daugherty on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
Jesus Christ gave Himself as a ransom for many. He died on the cross to pay the ultimate price for the sin of all mankind. That we may be reconciled back to the Father through Him. We are to take communion in remembrance of His death. We do this as believers in Christ Jesus.

To Stephen Woehr - very well said. I am just now recovering from influenza/pneumonia and bladder infection as of Dec. 13. I was in hosp. for 7 days. I knew the Lord knew all about it before it even happened; that He was in CONTROL. My husband is a wonderful man, do anything for anyone; just has no use for God ( self-made, etc.). I asked the Lord to do whatever; this was His answer.
  • Irene123 on Job 1 - 9 years ago
To Sharon - satan is not mighty; satan was the angel of light in heaven; he was created by God as were all things (In the beginning GOD ....). None of the angels have ANY power of themselves. satan had to present himself before God, his creator, to request power to torment Job. God gave His permission because God knew Job's heart and that Job would cleave to God.

  • Minister Donald Everage on Genesis 4 - 9 years ago
Cain wife was one of his sisters. Genesis 5:4 says ; Adam beget sons and daughters. Abraham confess to Sarah been his sister (same father, different mother) and his wife in Genesis 20:11-12. This was permitted before the law. It was stopped by the law(Leviticus 18th and 20th chapters)that came through Moses . Also Jacob was permitted to marry two sisters which was also discontinued by the law.
  • Michael Daugherty on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
Jesus Christ gave Himself as a ransom for many. We being born again of the Spirit, not flesh, are a new creation in Him. Old things have passed away. Behold all things become new. We are to take communion in remembrance of His death. We are all God's children. We die to our old ways and become new in Christ Jesus. We should look at ourselves before we judge someone else. We'll be judged the same.
  • Ronald Beal on James 1 - 9 years ago
Temptation comes from within- we are drawn away, (from the provision of God) when we seek to obtain in our own strength. Lusting is not the temptation to break the Law; Leaving the provision/ power of God and attempting to obtain in our own strength, i.e., Sin. The provision by God is called Faith, all that is not of Faith is Sin, period. Follow "Faith" through the scriptures for confirmation.

I was told to read this psalm to my micro preemie baby born at 23 weeks 6 days at 1lb 8.7 oz. God is good and has not left my baby boys side not once. Its hard going through this journey but only God has control over the situation and it is such a blessing to see how someone this tiny is a fighter and a true miracle. He is what is strengthening our family and has brought us closer to God. Prayers.

There remains no more sacrifice for sin. Jesus death paid the sacrificial price outlined in the old testament. All that is left for us to do is be obedient, and that is a matter of response to God's overwhelming goodness and love.

The world can be unkind to the believer or the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. God is with us in our trials. We must stand by Faith in God.Believe in our heavenly home and the Redeemer of our Souls. The pain is temporary if you believe through Salvation. Job 19
