Why are the "v" and "u" swapped in the text. There are other textual issues to. They take away from the reading

It is obvious that one commentor is trying to prove his belief that The Lord Jesus Christ is not Himself truly God. There is none so blind as he who will not see. I could quote many many scriptures which validate his co-eternality with the Father and Spirit. I think it better to leave you with the Lord's following admonition: If ye believe not that I am He, ye shall perish in your sins.

to Lew - not sure what you're asking, did JESUS die for our/your/my sin? His sacrifice was only a sin offering as in Leviticus, to cleanse us of our sin before the LORD, opening the way for all of us to salvation, grace is the LORD's gift, you are given a choice then, forward or back. However, there will still be a reckoning, we must each of us present ourselves to the LORD, just my opinion.

This is saying WHEN the new covenant comes, which it has not, "ALL" do no yet know the Lord and we are still teaching our brothers to know the Him. While the warning is directed at pastors, it applies to all who preach false doctrines that cause souls to stray from the path of righteousness.

It becomes tremendously liberating when we make the shift of living onto God rather than man. True reverence is evidenced when we love and honor God so deeply that we would not want to sin because it opposes his ways, word, and character. Living onto God delivers man from the fear of man, it is the one fear that dispels all other fears. Hatred for sin makes us honest at all times and repententful.
