  • John Grays on Deuteronomy 21 - 9 years ago
This is for the understanding of siblings and reproduction. If a man has two wives and has children with both wives, the genealogy of the children are all of the same sperm and D.N.A., therefore the children are full brothers sisters although they have different mothers. If a woman has two children and each child has a different father, then you have two different bloodlines which means half.
  • Felicia on John 2 - 9 years ago
    To Danny C verse 17
Jesus found the Temple turned into a market place (vv 14-15) and He grieved. They corrupted His Father's house and dishonoured Him. Ref. to v.17 - Isa 56:7; Ps 69:9; Matt 21:13. The disciples knew the Old Test they were John the Baptist's followers before and might have read Isa 56 over and over before so they remembered when Jesus mentioned it. Ps 69 is also Messianic.
  • Artavious on Galatians 3 - 9 years ago
I believe that this is amazing, especially since he was made a curse for us! This proves Gods everlasting love, and our freedom, from any curse, in the earth. Praise be to the lord God, and his holy son JESUS CHIRST! amen.

My son "Matthew Paul Hamm" passed away on November 29th, 2016, he was 32 and as my heart is breaking I learned that Matthew was reading the bible and asking questions and praying with some older Christian men he had befriended, and that he found comfort in the passage of Psalms 23 this has brought me so much comfort and peace although I miss him dearly I know he is with God in Heaven an Angel.
  • Caroline on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
its a powerful psalm that I always wish to read. A powerful psalm that most people did not know or take very important. It always remind me that God is always there for me if I obey and have faith in Him.
  • Irene123 on 2 Peter 1 - 9 years ago
I s'pose that this is appropo of - nothing, but I just noticed v. 14 - which harkens back to Jn. 21:19. 1 Pet. is yrs. later from Jn.21:19. I don't imagine Peter 'caught' Jesus' drift right at the time, but by now he's 'experienced' enough - he understands. It's beautiful how the Lord shows you things in His word. I'd never 'connected' these two before now.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 122 - 9 years ago
No one mentioned v. 1; It sets the 'tone' for the whole chapter. Every time I am on my way to and have arrived at the church - His Spirit just wells up in me; when the service starts with the songs - I just weep, every service. I love Him so. He kept me for 34 yrs. of hell while I was backslid. Some people on here don't believe like I do, but some will know what I am talking about.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 100 - 9 years ago
This whole chapter is what our pastor gave the Bible study on tonight. About 2hrs. before going to the study, something came up at home - and I was very depressed by it. I had to 'talk' to the Lord for about 30 min. before I got ahold of Him - and the depression left. When I left for church - I was ELATED - because I was going to worship HIM with my Bros. 'n sis. in the Lord. God is GOOD!!
  • Fran comments 12/6/16 11:50 PM on 1 Samuel 28 - 9 years ago
The bible does say that the dead know not anything. But maybe this time God may have allowed Samuel to come up for our learning. We have to also remember that Jesus went down into hell and preached to the souls after he was crucified. This may have given Saul a second chance. Remember also that God allowed Saul to be changed. Read whereby God turned his heart after he was anointed by Samuel.

  • Karl on Psalms 92 - 9 years ago
to Suzie -- the psalms can be uplifting and "strengthening can't they, a good message for you to pass along. Unicorns, well, easy and tough to answer, the Hebrew translation is "wild ox" but perhaps the translators of the KJV had a more subtle intent using the term unicorn, I still like their choice, even knowing that it may not be literally accurate, gives a reader pause for thought - any help?
  • Word on Revelation 6 - 9 years ago
God teaches through examples giving us instructions in the Old Testament that make us see the full truth as we read the New Testament. I know there are religions that say the Old Testament is of no use and they do away with it and read only from the New Testament and I truly feel sorry for them because I know they will never know the truth. The Two witnesses get here 10 days before it all begins.
  • June de Vres on Psalms 91 - 9 years ago
Psalm 91 gives me peace and calms my fears. It reminds me that He is my hiding place, my protector, and that I can trust in Him. Knowing that gives me peace.
  • BSP on Isaiah 3 - 9 years ago
God was here warning the nation of Judah that everything that may have made them externally beautiful would be taken away and that they would be devastated. Their material things would be of no benefit when God judged them.
  • Rev Franklin Miller on Obadiah 1 - 9 years ago

  • Willa on Zephaniah 1 - 9 years ago
The Word of the Lord came to Zephaniah the son of Cushi. Cushi is another name for Ethiopia and I never hear anyone refer to this title; was Zephaniah an Ethiopian? He has a powerful message for today.

Hope - I do not understand the comment "directed to the israelits not anybody else". Those in Achaia and Corinth were belivers not just Israelites. Are you making the distinction between regular tithing and simple helping those in time of need?

Verse 4 shows the promise of global peace soon to come. There is so much hatred and war in the world, but this shows that God is going to cause all wars to cease and the whole earth will live in peace.
  • BSP on Isaiah 1 - 9 years ago
In this chapter God viewed the Israelites' sins as wicked as the nations of Sodom and Gomorrah. They had fallen so far, but Jehovah God was laying their sins bare and giving them a warning before he took action against them.
  • Martha on Psalms 92 - 9 years ago
@Irene123 Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
The definition of "perpetual" Never ceasing; continuing forever in future time; destined to be eternal; as a perpetual covenant; a perpetual statute. Nowhere in the Word does the Holy Ghost replace His own commandments.
